DACUM 기법에 의한 1급 응급구조사의 직무분석 (Task Analysis of Paramedics of Korea Based on DACUM Method)

  • Objective : This study grasps specific task on paramedics who plays a great role in the emergency scene, thereby eliciting definition of job called paramedics and analyzing occupation by DACUM method. Thus, the aim is to suggest working-level guidelines on the task of paramedics. Methods : It targeted paramedics who are working at hospitals, fire stations, and industries in Seoul and Gyeonggi area from Oct. 11, 2010 to Nov. 30. A total of 608 copies of questionnaire were analyzed by DACUM method. A research tool on occupational analysis consisted of 8 pieces for duty, 43 pieces for task, and 149 pieces for task elements. In order to survey performance frequency, importance, and difficulty by element, each task was developed by this research team, and each task was analyzed and finally elicited through workshop of DACUM method. Results : The occupational definition of paramedics, which was defined through this DACUM, was elicited as 'professional job of performing emergency medical care on the scene, during transferring, or within medical institution in order to maintain life and prevent wound deterioration, targeting a person who is put in emergency situation.' Task element, whose performance frequency was indicated to be the highest, was in order of checking mental status($2.76{\pm}0.497$), checking vital signs($2.70{\pm}0.578$), and airway/c-spine immobilization($2.69{\pm}.546$). Especially, defibrillation stood at $2.23{\pm}.655$ points. Task element, whose performance frequency was low, was in order of caring sexual abuse victims($1.32{\pm}0.563$), performing cricothyrotomy($1.36{\pm}0.618$), and caring cardiac arrest victims($1.40{\pm}0.636$). Importance of task was in order of airway/c-spine immobilization ($2.88{\pm}0.338$), maintenance of respiration($2.88{\pm}0.351$), caring cardiac arrest victims($2.87{\pm}0.349$), and performing CPR($2.87{\pm}0.361$). Task element, whose importance is low, was indicated to be in order of enema($2.29{\pm}0.736$), urinary catheterization($2.35{\pm}0.664$), and nasogastric intubation($2.35{\pm}0.667$). Task element, whose difficulty was shown to be the highest, was indicated to be in order of caring cardiac arrest victims during pregnancy ($2.60{\pm}0.559$), caring cardiovascular injury($2.59{\pm}0.546$), and labor management($2.53{\pm}0.533$). Conclusion : Based on the results of this study, the job performance work table(Dacom chart) of paramedics is suggested to be used, thereby being applied to development in education and curriculum of paramedics. It is necessary to evaluate usefulness of the job performance work table by estimating effect of education for paramedics based on the job performance work table of paramedics.

  • Achievement of a straight line motion in the Cartesian space has a matter of great importance. Minimization of task execution time with linear interpolation in the joint space, accomplishing of a approximation of straight line motion in the Cartesian coordinate is considered as the prespecified task. Such determination yields minimum time joint-trajectory subject to input torque constraints. The applications of these results for joint-trajectory planning of a two-link manipulator with revolute joints are demonstrated by computer simulations.

  • The objective of this research is to select the most effective technique from task related techniques(motion & time study, job redesign, physical environment improvement) for improving work efficiency in shipbuilding enterprise. This study consists of several principal steps. The first step is to design critical criteria in evaluating work efficiency in shipbuilding enterprises. The second step is to develop sub-criteria of the critical criteria. The third step is to develop a four level AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process)structure using the critical criteria, sub-criteria and techniques from task related techniques. The fourth step is to develop the pairwise comparison matrix by each level of AHP structure, which was based on survey data collected at the H heavy industry. And the last step is to select the most effective technique from task related techniques using AHP analysis. The result of AHP analysis has shown clear difference in priority among task related techniques in terms of work efficiency of the shipbuilding enterprise: The reduction of normal time has more importance than the reduction of allowance time, motion & time study techniques are most important for the reduction of normal time, physical environment improvement is most important for the reduction of allowance time as well.

  • 해상교통관제 업무는 제공하는 정보의 내용에 따라 분류된다. 우리나라는 1993년 포항에 최초의 해상교통관제센터 설립 이후 대한민국의 해상교통관제는 꾸준히 발전하고 있으며, 업무 영역의 확장이 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 해상교통관제 업무의 분류에 따른 해상 교통관제사의 업무 중요도 및 작업 부하에 대해여 분석하였다. 중요도 및 작업 부하를 측정하기 위하여 전국의 해상교통관제사를 대상으로 설문을 실시하였으며, 다기준의사결정 기법인 계층화분석과정을 사용하여 결론을 도출하였다. 해상교통관제사의 업무 중요도와 작업 부하의 관계를 고찰하여 향후 해상교통관제 센터에서 관제 구역 설정의 가중치로 사용할 수 있으며, 중요도와 작업부하의 관계를 바탕으로 가변 섹터 운영 등의 자료로 사용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

QI전담자의 주요 업무 및 역할 규명 (The Task and Role of the Quality Improvement Facilitator)

  • Objectives: To outline overall duties of quality improvement (QI) performers within a health care organization, thus describing their key tasks, including task element-related frequency, importance and difficulty in enough detail. Methods: A DACUM (Developing A CurriculUM) workshop took place to outline overall job activities of QI performers. To examine the scope of their duty and task, we performed a questionnaire survey of 338 QI performers from 111 hospitals. Results: The results of our survey showed that for the task assigned to each QI performer, there were 10 duties, 31 tasks and 119 task elements. Respondents cited a project planning as the most frequent/important duty, and a research was the highest level of difficulty in their duty. They also said that the most frequent task was index management, the most important task was a business plan, and the highest level of difficulty was a practical application of QI research. QI performers added that the most frequent task element was receipt of patient safety reporting in patient safety system, the most important task element was an analysis for patient safety and its improvement, and the highest level of difficulty was a regional influence analysis related to the patient safety and its improvement. Conclusion: To ensure that QI performers play a pivotal role as a manager to better improve patient safety and the quality of health care services, proper training program for them should be developed by reflecting the results of our study.

보건교사의 행동적 특성이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향: 자기효능감과 과업중요성을 중심으로 (The Impact of Health Teachers' Behavioral Characteristics on Organizational Commitment: Ffocusing on Self-Efficacy and Task Importance)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 보건교사의 행동적 특성이 조직몰입에 영향을 미치는 다양한 요인들을 탐색하여 각 요인 간의 인과관계에 관해 설명하고자 하였으며, 탐색적 연구로써 대상은 보건교사로 근무하는 약 500명을 대상으로 설문 조사하였으며, 응답지 190개를 회수하였다. SPSS를 이용하여 기술통계를 분석하였고, 구조방정식 모형을 이용하여 측정모델과 가설을 검정하였다. 분석 결과, 보건교사의 행동적 특성이 이들의 자기효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 행동적 특성과 자기효능감은 정서적 몰입에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 보건교사의 자기효능감은 정서적 몰입에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는데, 이는 이들의 행동적 특성이 정서적 몰입에 직접적인 영향을 미친다기보다는 행동적 특성들이 자기효능감이라는 매개변수를 통해 정서적 몰입에 간접적으로 영향을 미친다는 것을 보여준다. 특히, 보건교사의 과업중요성에 대한 인식 정도가 자기효능감과 정서적 몰입에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 시사점은 보건교사의 역량, 즉 행동적 특성이 자기효능감을 통해 조직몰입에 영향을 미친다는 것을 실증적으로 밝힘으로써 이들의 행동적 특성이 조직몰입으로 전이되는 현상을 설명하였다는 것과 직무 특성인 과업중요성에 대한 인식이 자기효능감과 조직몰입에 영향을 미친다는 것을 실증적으로 밝힌 데 있다. 연구의 결과는 보건교사의 역량 함양과 운영에 대한 방향성을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

유통·호텔 종사원의 팀에 대한 몰입의 선행요인과 결과요인에 관한 연구 (A Study of Precedence and Result Factors on Team Commitment on Distribution and Hotel Employees)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to identify team commitment affecting employees' innovative activities and factors affecting team commitment including empowerment by leaders and job enrichment factors. In other words, so as to explain outcome variables of innovative activities, this study aims to emphasize employees' attachment roles towards their groups within nomological network, and identify the motives encouraging employees' innovative activities. The research purpose is significant due to the realistic situation of hotel industry. The reason why innovative activities are important can be found in recent changes of business environment. Also, unlike other various studies on precedence factors encouraging employees' innovative activities, this study classified those precedence factors into job and leader characteristics, and it emphasized the importance of team commitment as the process that job and leader characteristics are connected to innovative activities. Research design, data and methodology - The survey for this study was conducted during October 6th ~ November 10th in 2014 to the employees who are working in 5-star hotels in Korea. As for the selection of hotels and sampling method, convenience sampling method was used to the employees in 5-star hotels. Self-report method was used in the survey, judging that the employees' characteristics would be relatively homogeneous. 311 questionnaires were distributed in total, and 275 reponses were collected. After excluding the missing and unreliable responses, 245 questionnaires were used in the research. SPSS and AMOS programs were used for the analysis. Results - First, empowering leadership had positive effects on hotel employees' team commitment. It indicates that hotel employees are more committed to their team when their leaders set examples, provide information, and involve employees in decision-making process. Second, as a result of the relationship analysis in task diversity, task significance, task identity and team commitment, task diversity and task significance had significant effect on team commitment, while task identity had no significant effect on team commitment. It indicates that team commitment is enhanced when the employees can conduct diverse types of jobs and get more opportunities to talk with the guests. Also, the repetition for the same jobs in hotel rooms and the space for preparing food and beverage do not lead to team commitment, even though the employees fulfill their duties to the end. Third, hotel employees' team commitment has positive effect on their innovative activities. It indicates that employees voluntarily conduct innovative activities when they are attached to their team and identifies themselves with the team. Conclusions - There are theoretical and practical implications in this study. First, in terms of the theoretical perspective, this study proposes structural framework in team commitment, and it identifies the psychological mechanism in team commitment from the aspect of social exchange, which resulted in identification of precedence factors related to team commitment. In addition, this study presents new possibilities for relevant studies about team commitment by examining the effect on team commitment when the importance of innovative activities is emphasized in recent business environment.

DACUM 기법에 의한 병원 임상영양사의 직무기술서 개발 (Development of Job Description of Clinical Dietitians in Hospitals by the DACUM Method)

  • The present study was conducted to develop a standardized job description for clinical dietitians working in hospitals. A developing curriculum (DACUM) method was used for the job analysis of clinical dietitians. Based on DACUM analysis with 14 members, including clinical dietitians and professors majoring in clinical nutrition and job analysis, information on the duties, tasks, and task elements of clinical dietitians was determined. To verify the job descriptions derived from DACUM analysis, a total of 46 tertiary and general hospitals with over 500 beds were recruited for the survey. The final developed job description for clinical dietitians included 7 duties, 27 tasks, and 93 task elements. The duties consisted of nutritional assessment, nutrition diagnosis, nutrition intervention, nutrition monitoring evaluation, consultation cooperation, nutrition research, and self-development. The mean scores of perceived importance, performance, and difficulty on the clinical dietitian's task elements (out of a maximum score of 5.0) were 4.5, 3.7, and 3.5, respectively, with significant differences between the items (P<0.001). The perceived importance and performance grid of clinical dietitian's tasks showed that "construction and maintenance of collaboration" (E2) and "activity of quality improvement" (F1) received relatively low scores for performance despite their high importance scores; thus the performance of these tasks requires significant improvement. In conclusion, the job descriptions of clinical dietitians developed from this study are useful for the qualitative improvement of clinical nutrition services in hospitals.

종양 전문 간호사의 직무 분석 (Development and Analysis of Job Description for Korean Oncology APN)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to develop job description for Korean oncology APNs and assess importance, frequency, and difficulty for each of task elements listed on the job description. Method: Twenty-four oncology APNs or professors working at cancer centers or universities in Korea were enrolled in this study. They were asked to complete the questionnaires about frequencies, importances, and difficulties on the task elements for the APNs which had developed through a DACUM method. Descriptive statistics were produced by using SPSS WIN 10.0. Result: The job description of oncology APNs was identified 5 duties, 44 tasks, and 110 task elements. As for the all five duties, the average scores of the frequency, importance, and difficulty were 2.57, 2.25 and 2.52. And the role of educator was shown as the most important duty of the oncology ANPs, whereas the role of administer was the least. And the role of consultant was the most frequently performed by the oncology APNs. Conclusion: In this study, we could recognize the reality of oncology APNs' performances having wide spectrum from medical to nursing disciplines. For further verifying and improving performance, we need more precisely designed studies with more representative subjects.

Expression of TASK-1 channel in mouse Leydig cells

  • Background: Leydig cells, crucial for testosterone production, express ion channels like ANO1 that influence hormone secretion. This study investigates the expression and role of the Tandem of P domains in a weak inward rectifying K+ channel-related Acid-Sensitive K+-1 (TASK-1) channel in these cells, exploring its impact on testicular function and steroidogenesis. Methods: TASK-1 expression in Leydig cells was confirmed using immunostaining, while RT-PCR and Western Blot (WB) validated its expression in the TM3 Leydig cell line. The effect of a TASK-1 channel blocker on cell viability was assessed through live/dead staining and MTT assays. Additionally, the blocker's effect on testosterone secretion was evaluated by measuring testosterone levels. Results: Immunohistochemical analysis revealed a predominant presence of TASK-1, along with c-Kit and ANO-1, in Leydig cells adjacent to seminiferous tubules and also in Sertoli and spermatogenic cells. Expression levels of TASK-1 mRNA and protein were significantly higher in TM3 Leydig cells compared to TM4 Sertoli cells. In addition, blocking TASK-1 in TM3 cells with ML365 induced cell death but did not affect LH-induced testosterone secretion. Conclusions: These findings suggest that TASK-1 in Leydig cells is crucial for their viability and proliferation, highlighting its potential importance in testicular physiology.
