  • The purpose of this study is to analyze inquiry tasks of textbooks in middle schools social studies under the information literacy process and find out teacher librarians' educational information service on the side of information literacy education. Results of the analysis show that middle school students who carry out the inquiry tasks of social studies should select sources, seek its' related information and create their products through writing reports or presentation. Compared with information literacy process of the "Library and Information Skills", the First step of task definition and figuring out information needs and the Third step of representation of information are being implemented. For this reason, teacher librarian could reduce social studies teachers' burden of class and promote students' inquiry activities by teaching skills of suitable materials seeking strategies for solving their task, understanding and synthesizing the information and evaluating their process and result. Therefore, it is necessary to activate collaborative teaching between the teacher librarian and the social studies teacher based on the information literacy.

  • Plasma processing plays a significant role in semiconductor devices technology. Development of new plasma systems, such as high-density plasma reactors, required development of plasma theory to understand a whole process mechanism and to be able to explain and to predict processing results. A most important task in this way is to establish interconnections between input process parameters (working gas, pressure flow rate input power density) and a various plasma subsystems (electron gas, volume and heterogeneous gas chemistry, transport), which are closely connected one with other. It will allow select optimal ways for processes optimizations.

  • This paper deals with the robust controller design of robotic manipulator to track a desired trajectory in spite of the presence of unmodelled dynamics in cause of nonlinearity and parameter uncertainty. The approach followed in this paper is based on model reference adaptive control technique and convergence on hyperstability theory but it does away with assumption that process is characterized by a linear model remaining time invariant during adaptation process. A computer simulation has been performed to demonstrate the performance of the designed control system in task coordinates for stanford manipulator with payload and disturbances.

  • This article surveys techniques and issues related to real time process control system developed for industrial control applications. It covers the system architecture and software engineering issues such as the design of data structures, scheduling of asynchronous task activities, management of shared resources, handling of interrupt and implementing an user friendly man-machine interface. Also problems associated with implementing a real-time system that supports dynamic configuration of data base is addressed.

  • This paper proposes a meta modeling technique which permits to describe a KBS according to three axis: the object of reuse axis, the levels of granularity axis and the reuse process axis. The object of reuse axis allows to see a KBS as a set of inter-related components for reuse purposes. The levels of granularity axis allows to describe the KBS components according to different levels of granularity for clarity and reuse purposes. The reuse process axis allows to see the KBS components as (re)usable components.

  • The effect of spatial attention gradually decreases as a function of the distance between the locus of attention and a target. According to this hypothesis, we tested the spatial-effect profile of visual attention when it operates on perception and memory. Experiment 1 measured accuracy of discriminating the color of a simultaneously masked target after presenting a pre-cue to either at the target location or away from the target (perception-intensive task). Experiment 2 measured accuracy of recognizing the color of several items at and around the pre-cued location (memory-intensive task). In the perception-intensive condition, the accuracy gradually dropped as the distance between the cue and target location increases. However, in the memory-intensive condition, subjects remembered only the item at the cued location. This suggests spatial attention in a memory-intensive process would operate on object-based representations. Experiment 2 showed the object-based effect observed in Experiment 1 can be also present in perception under a special circumstance. The results indicate that spatial attention can operate on object-based representations in a memory-intensive process whereas it flexibly can operate either on location-based or object-based representations in a perception-intensive process.

  • The similarity in tones between speakers can lower the performance of speaker verification. To improve the performance of speaker verification systems, we propose a multi-task learning technique using deep neural network to learn speaker information and age information. Multi-task learning can improve generalization performances, because it helps deep neural networks to prevent hidden layers from overfitting into one task. However, we found in experiments that learning of age information does not work well in the process of learning the deep neural network. In order to improve the learning, we propose a method to dynamically change the objective function weights of speaker identification and age estimation in the learning process. Results show the equal error rate based on RSR2015 evaluation data set, 6.91 % for the speaker verification system without using age information, 6.77 % using age information only, and 4.73 % using age information when weight change technique was applied.

  • After reviewing the existing literature on team coaching, I propose a new model with two distinguishing features. The model (1) focuses on the functions that coaching serves for a team, rather than on either specific leader behaviors or leadership styles, (2) identifies the specific times in the task performance process when coaching inventions are most likely to have their intended effects.
