A model-to-model comparison is attempted between Princeton Ocean Model (POM) and Miami Isopycnic Coordinate Ocean Model (MICOM) as a first step to extend our knowledge of models' performances in studying the East Sea circulation. The two models have fundamentally different numerical schemes and boundary conditions imposed on these models are not exactly the same each other. This study indicates that MICOM has a critical weak point in that it does not reproduce the shallow surface currents properly while it handles the thermohaline processes and associated movements of intermediate and deep waters efficiently. It is suggested that the mixed layer scheme needs to be modified so that it can match with inflow boundary conditions in order to reproduce the surface currents properly in MICOM. POM reproduces the surface current pattern better than MICOM, although the surface currents in POM appear to undergo the unrealistic seasonal variation and have exaggeratedly large vertical scale. These defects seem to arise during the process of adapting POM to the East Sea, and removing these defects is left as a future task.

This paper is a brief description on the task of the basic investigation of the water resource development of the principal river basins in this country for all- weather farming. In order to show how the people in the nation can best be benefited by further development of the water resources of the basins, this paper includes a description of the in individual basin's resource, its needs and problems, and its present and future development of the water resources within the natural drainage basin of the rivers are listed and their over-all results are summarised in the investigation report and separately filled. It is hoped that the government should continue and expand its detailed investigations of potential projects within the each principal river basin to obtain adequate information by which the Union of Land improvement Association can formulate a comprehensive plan for use of all the water resources of the basin's and select and recommend projects for successive stages of development.

In recent years, cloud computing services based on smart phones and other mobile terminals have been a rapid development. Cloud computing has the advantages of mass storage capacity and high-speed computing power, and it can meet the needs of different types of users, and under the background, mobile cloud computing (MCC) is now booming. In this paper, we have put forward a new classification-based virtual machine placement (CBVMP) algorithm for MCC, and it aims at improving the efficiency of virtual machine (VM) allocation and the disequilibrium utilization of underlying physical resources in large cloud data center. By simulation experiments based on CloudSim cloud platform, the experimental results show that the new algorithm can improve the efficiency of the VM placement and the utilization rate of underlying physical resources.

In designing and evaluating a new product, the company needs to give thought to the entire spectrum of produceability, usability, and ultimate reliability, as well as safety of users. For each design review(DR) stage, a formal, systematic, documented review and evaluation of a product design is conducted to assure that the product is safe and reliable, that costs and materials have been optimized, and that the design complies with its specifications and requirements. This paper presents how to improve development process for product's safety and reliability. The process requires gathering the appropriate information, determining the limits of the product, estimating risk associated with the task-hazard combinations, and reducing risk according to a prioritized procedure.

Working Posture is an important factor directly connected with quality and productivity of the construction project. In particular, High-rise building construction is required to manage the working posture due to the repetitive task and unfavorable working condition such as high place work, limited space. However existing construction planning of high-rise building construction has a negative effect on the labor's productivity because it is not insufficiently considered for working posture. Therefore the purpose of this study is to suggest a work that needs improvement by analyzing labor's working posture quantitatively using OWAS method. These results would provide the basic information to improve the productivity of the construction project by supporting the construction plan considering the working posture in high-rise building.

The existing PKI authentication structure uses the OCSP method. The primary task of OCSP is to verify the status of a transaction after verifying the validity of the certificate; but, because of continuing policy changes and updates within the PKI authentication method, the status of certificates and the structures are not consistent. Therefore, the SCVP method can be selected as the broadest method for completing authentication tasks accurately because the SCVP method includes validation of policy changes. An appropriate method for building an mobile environment within the capabilities of low-memory and reduced processing CPU needs to be assessed and developed. This thesis proposes a verification method that is independent of platform and applicable to any 05 in building and expanding the mobile environment.

Mathematical modeling has been emphasized because it offers important opportunities for students to both apply their learning of mathematics to a situation and to explore the mathematics involved in the context of the situation. However, unlike its importance, mathematical modeling has not been grounded in typical mathematics classes because teachers do not have enough understanding of mathematical modeling and they are skeptical to implement it in their lessons. The current study analyzed the data, such as video recordings, slides, and surveys for teachers, collected in four lessons of teacher education in terms of mathematical modeling. The study reported different kinds of tasks that are authentic with regards to mathematical modeling. Furthermore, in teacher education, teachers' identities have separated a mode as learners and a mode as teachers and conflicts and intentional transition were observed. Analysis of the surveys shows what teachers think about mathematical modeling with their understanding of it. In teacher education, teachers achieved different kinds of modeling tasks and experience them which are helpful to enact mathematical modeling in their lessons. However, teacher education also needs to specifically offer what to do and how to do it for their lessons.

Defense specification suitability review task means to examine whether to need enactment, amendment or abolition of defense specification, and realistic and efficient review environment are urgently needed by improving system. For the promotion of efficient tasks, the cycle of defense specification suitability review needs to be changed to 5 years for active specifications and 10 years for inactive specifications. To simplify the standards of defense specification suitability review, the distinction between prior management items and general management items should be abolished and the number of review items need to be reduced from ten to three. Also, in order to promote substantial defense specification suitability review, a system improvement is needed to utilize retired professionals from defense acquisition related agencies.

Depressive disorder is one of well-known major public health problems in Korea. The socioeconomic burden of depression is growing bigger and bigger. Therefore, the Korean government decided to establish the clinical research center for depression for better care of patients with depression. One of the major task of the center is the development of Korean clinical practice guideline for depressive disorders. This guideline should reflect the clinical situation in Korea and meet Korean physicians' needs. In addition, it should be feasible and easy to use. We reviewed the present status of the guideline development in Korea and other countries, and introduces the scope, method, and goals of Korean clinical practice guideline for depression.

Practice evidenced by reliable knowledge is essential for professionals and practical studies. Because nursing is a human science and practical science, theory and knowledge development is an indispensable task to improve nursing. Nursing is a very special paradigm not exactly correlated to Western medicine and Oriental medicine. However, nursing was influenced by on Western medicine at the beginning, and most nursing theories were established western philosophies. Caring is the essence of nursing. To provide qualitative care which satisfies clients, it is required to respect cultures of the clients. Western and Eastern approaches of thinking are coexisting in Korea no, so the needs for developing a nursing model, East-West Nursing, which blends two approaches are increasing. In this paper, concepts of the East-West Nursing, differences between Oriental and Western medicines, and comparison of nursing metaparadigm in prospects from and Western Philosophies were briefly covered to define the East-West Nursing. Strategies and directions to develop the East-West Nursing were also discussed.
