  • Indentation and small punch tests are very powerful methods to monitor the materials reliability since they are very simple, easy and almost non-destructive. First, recently-developed continuous indentation test can provide the more material properties such as hardness, elastic modulus, yield strength, work-hardening exponent, etc., than the conventional hardness test. In our study, the true stress-strain curve was derived from the indentation load-depth curve for spherical indentation. In detail, the strain was able to be obtained from plastic depth/contact radius ratio, and the flow stress was from mean contact pressure through the analysis of elastic-plastic indentation stress field. Secondly, the small punch test was studied to evaluate the fracture toughness and defomation properties such as elastic modulus and yield strength. Like the indentation test, this test can be applied without severe damage of the target structure.

고밀도 프로빙 테스트를 위한 수직형 프로브카드의 제작 및 특성분석 (Development and Characterization of Vertical Type Probe Card for High Density Probing Test)

  • As an increase of chip complexity and level of chip integration, chip input/output (I/O) pad pitches are also drastically reduced. With arrival of high complexity SoC (System on Chip) and SiP (System in Package) products, conventional horizontal type probe card showed its limitation on probing density for wafer level test. To enhance probing density, we proposed new vertical type probe card that has the $70{\mu}m$ probe needle with tungsten wire in $80{\mu}m$ micro-drilled hole in ceramic board. To minimize alignment error, micro-drilling conditions are optimized and epoxy-hardening conditions are also optimized to minimize planarity changes. To apply wafer level test for target devices (T5365 256M SDRAM), designed probe card was characterized by probe needle tension for test, contact resistance measurement, leakage current measurement and the planarity test. Compare to conventional probe card with minimum pitch of $50{\sim}125{\mu}m\;and\;2\;{\Omega}$ of average contact resistance, designed probe card showed only $22{\mu}$ of minimum pitch and $1.5{\Omega}$ of average contact resistance. And also, with the nature of vertical probing style, it showed comparably small contact scratch and it can be applied to bumping type chip test.

Magnetic hardening of nano-thick $Sm_2$$Fe_{17}$$N_x$ films grown by a pulsed laser deposition

  • S $m_{2}$F $e_{17}$ $N_{x}$ film magnets using a S $m_{2}$F $e_{17}$ target were prepared at $N_{2}$ gas atmosphere using a Nd-YAG laser ablation technique. The effect of nitrogen pressure, deposition temperature, pulsation time and film thickness on the structure and magnetic properties of S $m_{2}$F $e_{17}$ $N_{x}$ film were studied. Increasing the nitrogen pressure up to 5 atm. was confirmed to lead the formation of complete S $m_{2}$F $e_{17}$ $N_{x}$ compound. Optimized magnetic properties with the nitrogenation temperature ranging over 500-53$0^{\circ}C$ could be obtained by extending the nitrogenation time up to 4 hours. Relatively low coercivities of 400~600 Oe were exhibited from the S $m_{2}$F $e_{17}$ $N_{x}$ films having the thickness of 50~100 nm while 4$\pi$ $M_{s}$ of 10~12 kG could be achieved. In-plane anisotropic characteristic, which was the basic goal in this study, was achieved by controlling the nitrogenation parameters.ameters.ers.ameters.

Analysis of Web Browser Security Configuration Options

  • For ease of use and access, web browsers are now being used to access and modify sensitive data and systems including critical control systems. Due to their computational capabilities and network connectivity, browsers are vulnerable to several types of attacks, even when fully updated. Browsers are also the main target of phishing attacks. Many browser attacks, including phishing, could be prevented or mitigated by using site-, user-, and device-specific security configurations. However, we discovered that all major browsers expose disparate security configuration procedures, option names, values, and semantics. This results in an extremely hard to secure web browsing ecosystem. We analyzed more than a 1000 browser security configuration options in three major browsers and found that only 13 configuration options had syntactic and semantic similarity, while 4 configuration options had semantic similarity, but not syntactic similarity. We: a) describe the results of our in-depth analysis of browser security configuration options; b) demonstrate the complexity of policy-based configuration of web browsers; c) describe a knowledge-based solution that would enable organizations to implement highly-granular and policy-level secure configurations for their information and operational technology browsing infrastructures at the enterprise scale; and d) argue for necessity of developing a common language and semantics for web browser configurations.

쐐기 인자 결정 깊이에 관한 연구 (The Study of the Measurement Point for Wedge Factor)

  • 쐐기 인자의 깊이 의존성 연구를 통하여 적절한 쐐기 인자 결정 깊이에 관한 연구를 하였다. 4 MV, 6MV, 10MV, 15MV (사용가속기 Varian, Siemens, Mitsubishi) 선종에 대하여 명목 쐐기 각도 15$^{\circ}$, 30$^{\circ}$, 45$^{\circ}$, 60$^{\circ}$, 쐐기를 사용하여, 깊이 변화에 따르는 쐐기 인자 변화를 살펴보았다. 적정 쐐기 인자 결정 깊이를 알아보기 위하여 서울중앙병원, 부산침례병원, 원주기독병원에서 1990. 1991. 12 사이에 쐐기를 이용하여 방사선 치료를 받은 환자중 무작위로 614명을 추출하여 사용 에너지별, 쐐기 각도별, 치료 깊이별 분석을 시도하였다. 전체 환자의 60% 이상이 8cm$\pm$2.5cm 깊이에서 치료를 받았다. 쐐기 인자를 선량 최대 깊이로 결정할 경우 모든 환자가 평균 2%(최대 4%)의 치료 오차를 갖게 된다. 그러나 8cm깊이를 쐐기 인자 결정 깊이로 할 경우 평균 0.5% 선량 오차 이내로(사용가속기 기종, 에너지, 쐐기 각도에 관계 없이 최대 오차 1.7% 이내) 정확한 치료를 받을 수 있음을 알았다. 따라서 쐐기 인자는 5-10cm(8cm) 깊이에서 결정되는 것이 합리적인 것을 알았다.

비탄성 지진응답 제어를 위한 ATC-55에 기반한 마찰감쇠기 설계절차 (ATC-55 Based Friction Damper Design Procedure for Controlling Inelastic Seismic Responses)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 탄성과 비탄성 구조물의 지진응답제어를 위한 마찰감쇠기의 설계절차를 제시하는 것이다. ATC-40과 ATC-55를 이용하여 비탄성 구조물의 등가선형감쇠비와 등가선형주기를 구하였고, 이에 기초하여 목표 성능을 만족하기 위한 마찰감쇠기의 최대마찰력을 결정하는 식을 제시하였다. 이 식은 항복 전후 강성비와 요구되는 탄성강도에 대한 항복강도비, 그리고 구조물의 주기에 따라 비선형 수치해석과 오차가 발생한다. 수식에 의해 산출한 최대마찰력과 비선형 수치 해석에 의해 산출된 값과의 오차를 줄이기 위하여, 최소 제곱법을 사용하여 오차 보정식을 제시하였다. 수치해석결과는 제안된 보정식을 사용하면 탄성 및 비탄성 지진응답제어를 위한 마찰감쇠기의 설계를 합리적으로 수행할 수 있음을 보여준다

마이크로 체결부품 전조성형공정에 관한 해석 및 실험적 고찰(Part I: 유한요소 해석기반 공정변수 영향분석) (Analysis and Experiments on the Thread Rolling Process for Micro-Sized Screws Part I: Process Parameter Analysis by Finite-Element Simulation)

  • The production of high-precision micro-sized screws, used to fasten parts of micro devices, generally utilizes a cold thread-rolling process and two flat dies to create the teeth. The process is fairly complex, involving parameters such as die shape, die alignment, and other process variables. Thus, up-front finite-element(FE) simulation is often used in the system design procedure. The final goal of this paper is to produce high-precision screw with a diameter of $800{\mu}m$ and a thread pitch of $200{\mu}m$ (M0.8${\times}$P0.2) by a cold thread rolling process. Part I is a first-stage effort, in which FE simulation is used to establish process parameters for thread rolling to produce micro-sized screws with M1.4${\times}$P0.3, which is larger than the ultimate target screw. The material hardening model was first determined through mechanical testing. Numerical simulations were then performed to find the effects of such process parameters as friction between work piece and dies, alignment between dies and material. The final shape and dimensions predicted by simulation were compared with experimental observation.

방사선사진의 인덱스-순서 분석을 통한 치아경조직의 탈염화 검출 (Detection for demineralization of dental hard tissues using index-sequenced radiographs)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to develop the radiographic technique for detecting the demineralization which is known as indication of dental caries. Materials and Methods: This technique was based on the comparing of multiple radiographs which was irradiated by multiple X-ray spectra. For the meaningful comparing, the multiple radiographs were reconstructed to the dosimetrically consistent images using a standard material. The difference of resulting images of same target with multiple spectra represents the difference of response of material as regards the spectra. Results : We have found about 10% of demineralization of dental hard tissues particularly in the proximal region through the analyzing of differences. Conclusion: Most intriguing thing in this investigation was that the method to analyze difference shows us to an anatomic structure of dental hard tissues even if absolute values of optical density were excluded during the procedures. 심해저용 전기 저항 용접 소구경 송유관 소재의 온도 및 변형률 속도 에 따른 유동 응력 특성 (Flow Stress Properties of Electric Resistance Welded Small-Sized Subsea Pipeline Subjected to Temperature and Strain Rate Variations)

  • A subsea pipeline for oil/gas transportation or gas injection is subjected to extreme variations in internal pressure and temperature, which can involve a strain rate effect on the pipeline material. This paper describes the flow stress characteristics of a pipeline material called API 5L X52N PSL2, using and experimental approach. High-speed tensile tests were carried out for two metal samples taken from the base and weld parts. The target temperature was 100℃, but two other temperature levels of –20℃and 0℃ were taken into account. Three strain rates were also considered for each temperature level: quasi static, 1/s, and 10/s. Flow stress data were proposed for each temperature level according to these strain rates. The dynamic hardening behaviors of the base and weld metals appeared to be nonlinear on the log-scale strain rate axis. A very high material constant value was required for the Cowper-Symonds constitutive equation to support the experimental results.

Visual Monitoring System of Multi-Hosts Behavior for Trustworthiness with Mobile Cloud

  • Recently, security researches have been processed on the method to cover a broader range of hacking attacks at the low level in the perspective of hardware. This system security applies not only to individuals' computer systems but also to cloud environments. "Cloud" concerns operations on the web. Therefore it is exposed to a lot of risks and the security of its spaces where data is stored is vulnerable. Accordingly, in order to reduce threat factors to security, the TCG proposed a highly reliable platform based on a semiconductor-chip, the TPM. However, there have been no technologies up to date that enables a real-time visual monitoring of the security status of a PC that is operated based on the TPM. And the TPB has provided the function in a visual method to monitor system status and resources only for the system behavior of a single host. Therefore, this paper will propose a m-TMS (Mobile Trusted Monitoring System) that monitors the trusted state of a computing environment in which a TPM chip-based TPB is mounted and the current status of its system resources in a mobile device environment resulting from the development of network service technology. The m-TMS is provided to users so that system resources of CPU, RAM, and process, which are the monitoring objects in a computer system, may be monitored. Moreover, converting and detouring single entities like a PC or target addresses, which are attack pattern methods that pose a threat to the computer system security, are combined. The branch instruction trace function is monitored using a BiT Profiling tool through which processes attacked or those suspected of being attacked may be traced, thereby enabling users to actively respond.
