  • When we choose a car, must first choose the performance, design, price, reliability, ete. of the car regardless of the probability of occurrence of traffic accidents. This paper proposes the color of car that accident occurs in color from the highest probability to lowest probability. This is talking about the color difference of advancing color and receding color. The color of the accident-prone is many receding color that actually seem to be far more. Advanced color that seem to be closer than the actual color find out that accident is less.

  • The best method to study language is to talking with a native speaker. A voice recognition technology can be used to develope a language study machine. SD(Speaker dependant) and SI(speaker independant) voice recognition method is used for the language study machine. MP3 Player. FM Radio. Alarm clock functions are added to enhance the value of the product. The machine is designed with a DSP(Digital Signal Processing) chip for voice recognition. MP3 encoder/decoder chip. FM tumer and SD flash memory card. This paper deals with the application of SD ad SD voice recognition. flash memory file system. PC download function using USB ports, English conversation text function by the use of SD flash memory. LCD display control. MP3 encoding and decoding, etc. The study contents are saved in SD flash memory. This machine can be helpful from child to adult by changing the SD flash memory.

  • Text-to-Speech(WS) technology has been attracting a lot of interest among speech engineers because of its own benefits. Namely, the possible application areas of talking computers, emergency alarming systems in speech, speech output devices for speech-impaired, and so on. Hence, many researchers have made significant progresses in the speech synthesis techniques in the sense of their own languages and as a result, the quality of current speech synthesizers are believed to be acceptable to normal users. These are partly why the MPEG group had decided to include the WS technology as one of its MPEG-4 functionalities. ETRI has made major contributions to the current MPEG-4 775 appearing in various MPEG-4 documents with relatively minor contributions from AT&T and NW. Main MPEG-4 functionalities presently available are; 1) use of original prosody for synthesized speech output, 2) trick mode functions for general users without breaking synthesized speech prosody, 3) interoperability with Facial Animation(FA) tools, and 4) dubbing a moving/anlmated picture with lip-shape pattern informations.

  • In this paper, an interface between a human and a computer is presented. The human and computer interface(HCI) serves as another area of human and machine interfaces. Methods for the HCI we used are voice recognition and image recognition for detecting human's emotional feelings. The idea is that the computer can recognize the present emotional state of the human operator, and amuses him/her in various ways such as turning on musics, searching webs, and talking. For the image recognition process, the human face is captured, and eye and mouth are selected from the facial image for recognition. To train images of the mouth, we use the Hopfield Net. The results show 88%$\sim$92% recognition of the emotion. For the vocal recognition, neural network shows 80%$\sim$98% recognition of voice.

  • It cannot be argued that speech is the most natural interfacing tool between men and machines. In order to realize acceptable speech interfaces, highly advanced speech recognizers and synthesizers are inevitable. Namely, the possible application areas of talking computers, emergency alarming systems in speech, speech output devices fur speech-impaired, and so on. • In this paper, a variable time-scale modification using SOLA(Synchronized OverLap and Add) is proposed, which takes into consideration the different time-scaled characteristics of voiced and unvoiced speech, Generally, voiced speech is subject to higher variations in length during time-scale modification than unvoiced speech, but the conventional method performs time-scale modification at a uniform rate for all speech. For this purpose, voiced and unvoiced speech duration at various talking speeds were statistically analyzed. The sentences were then spoken at rates of 0.7, 1.3, 1.5 and 1.8 times normal speed. A clipping autocorrelation function was applied to each analysis frame to determine voiced and unvoiced speech to obtain respective variation rates. The results were used to perform variable time-scale modification to produce sentences at rates of 0.7, 1.3, 1.5, 1.8 times normal speed. To evaluate performance, a MOS test was conducted to compare the proposed voiced/unvoiced variable time-scale modification and the uniform SOLA method. Results indicate that the proposed method produces sentence quality superior to that of the conventional method.

  • The subjective unwantedness felt from the noise sources in living and office environment has been evaluated by investgating the upper/lower limit of perceptual loudness of the noise. The limits were selected by the subject and the noise sources were analyzed to find out whether there is any correlation with Zwicker parpmeters and ACF fastors. It was found that the loudness of vacuum cleaner noise does not influence its perceived noiseness. Noises implicated in human such as floor walking noise and talking sound, are the most irritating noise in office environment.

  • Cochannel speaker separation is employed when speech from two talkers has been summed into one signal and it is desirable to recover one or both of the speech signals from the composite signal. Cochannel speech occurs in many common situations such as when two AM signals containing speech are transmitted on the same frequency or when two people are speaking simultaneously (e. g., when talking on the telephone). In this paper, the method that separated the speech in such a situation is proposed. Especially, only the voiced sound of few sound states is separated. And the similarity of the signals by the cross correlation between the signals for exactness of original signal and separated signal is proved.

  • There are a lot of thoughts and ideas for home, family and household in China. These thoughts and ideas hand down to posterity through classics. But, Home Economics in China doesn't have been condition of development. Home Economics in China regularly began to develop from the department of Home Science in a Women's College in SangHae. Talking this opportunity, there were departments of Home Science in many universities and colleges 1919 to 1930. But, the studies of Home Economics was discontinue by The Revolution of Culture. In that time, Home Economics was considered as a false science. In 1979, Home Economics in China began again after enforcement of the Innovation and The Open Door Policy. But up to the present it isn't systematically made up of the studies and the scientific papers of Home Economics. The department of Home Economics is only one in the College of Gillim-Agriculture. But, the objects of study in Home Economics include not only women but also men in China. Also, Home Economics in China is started first in Socialism Countries.

  • More than a decade after their development and first wave of deployment, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing have recently returned on the corporate agendas of a larger number of corporations across industries and supply chains. In the wake of their re-surge, this commentary addresses the evolution, context, content and deployment patterns of the two distinct management concepts. It also analyses claims in the business press that a merger is taking place between Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing. Here, it is found that there is not enough evidence to broadly support such claims, and it is only concluded that there is some evidence of an early tend towards a merger and that a possible merger would have many synergies and advantages. Finally, an example from a Scandinavian manufacturing company is provided that explains how Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing can be used in a beneficial way for companies to reach world-class performance.
