The Tonpiltz transducer is one of the essential elements in sonar application. The characteristics of transducer depend on the piezoelectric ceramics and mechanical elements such as head mass, tail mass, pre-stress rod and so on. One of the important characteristics is stable electric resistance for high power transmitting operation. This paper presents characteristics variation of the underwater acoustic transducer with material variation of electric decoupler.

In metal cutting operation, it is very important that predict cutting force and work surface. Vibration is an unstable cutting phenomenon which is due to the interaction of the dynamics of the chip removal process and the structural dynamics of machine tool. When vibration on, it reduces tool life, results in poor surface roughness and low productivity of the machining process. In this study, the experiments were conducted in machining center without cutting fluid to investigate the phenomenon of vibration. In the experiments, accelerometers were set up at the tail stock and tool holder and signals were picked up. Surface roughness profiles are generated under the ideal condition and the occurrence of vibration based on the surface shaping simulation model.

In order to characterize the machine tool feed-drive dynamics, thread cutting experiments are performed with cutting conditions and slide-way lubrication varied. During the experiments, the carriage, tool post and tail stock accelerations in the feed direction are measured, and analyzed by employing the spectral analysis method. It is found that the tool post vibration in the feed direction during thread cutting operation is mainly due to those of the carriage and the workpiece. Other structure-related vibrations show little effects on the tool post vibration. The characteristics of the carriage vibration is shown to be fairly consistent, except the vibration amplitude, regardless the variations in cutting condition and lubrication within the experimental range. The experimental results suggest that the feeddrive system can be modelled as a 2 DOF damped oscillatory system.

The acceptance test of KTX has been performed in Korea. During the test lateral vibration of carbody over the accepted value called sway was found. Many activities have been taken to find the cause of the vibration and the counter-measure. KTX has 20 car trainset formation whose trailer cars are linked by articulate bogies. So this study is performed to see the effects of long trainset formation on vehicle dynamics and the train stability by 16 car vehicle model. Firstly the reliable vehicle model which shows well the tendencies appeared in the tests on the high speed test line is required to find the cause of lateral vibration and the countermeasure. Vehicle model was made for the analysis with VAMPIRE. The analysis results show that secondary air spring lateral stiffness is the most significant parameter to cause carbody lateral vibration. Mode analysis results show that the least damped mode shape is similar to the vibration pattern shown in the tests that the amplitude of the motion increases along the train set and decreases in the tail part. The lateral vibration was appeared at the speed range between 100km/h and 200km/h and disappeared at the low speed and the high speed.
Cholesteryl aniline ($C_{33}H_{51}N$) is monoclinic, space group $P2_1$, with a = 9.020(3), b = 6.000(1), c = 27.130(9)${\AA},\;{\beta} = 98.22(2)^{\circ}$, Z = 2, Dc = 1.06 g/cm$^3$ and Dm = 1.04 g/cm$^3$. A diffraction data set was collected with Mo-$K_{\alpha}$ radiation (${\lambda} = 0.7107 {\AA}$) on a diffractometer with a graphite monochromator to a maximum 2${\theta}$ value of 50$^{\circ}$, by the ${\omega}-2{\theta}$ scan technique. The coordinates of the non-hydrogen atoms and their anisotropic temperature factors were refined by full-matrix least-squares methods to final R of 0.058. In cholesteryl group, bond distances were normal except in tail part, where high thermal vibration resulted in apparent shortening of the C-C distances. The crystal structure consists of bilayers of thickness $d_{001} = 27.13 {\AA}$, in each of which there is the tail to tail arrangement of molecules aligned in the unit cell with their long axes approximately parallel to the [104] axis. The two halves of the double layer are related to each other by the screw axis.

In this study, subsonic flutter analyses have been conducted for a composite smart UAV with T-tail configuration at the critical flight condition. Detailed three-dimensional finite element model for dynamic analysis is constructed including its nonstructural elements corresponding to installed electronic equipments and fuels. Computational structural dynamics and aeroelastic techniques are conducted using MSC/NASTRAN and originally developed in-house codes. The results for fundamental vibration characteristics and flutter instabilities are presented and compared to each other for different fuel conditions.

The flutter characteristics of all movable tail wing with honeycomb sandwich structure have been studied in this study. The present wing model has a airfoil cross section and the linear variation of spanwise thickness. Structural vibration analysis is performed based on the finite element method using sandwich and beam elements. Unsteady aerodynamic technique used on the doublet lattice method has been effectively used to conduct the frequency-domain flutter analyses. The parametric flutter studies have been performed for various structural design parameters. Computational results on flutter stability due to the variation of structural parameters are presented and its related characteristics are investigated through the comparison of results.
This study presents the reliability-based analysis of nonlinear structures using the analytical fragility curves excited by random earthquake loads. The stochastic method of ground motion simulation is combined with the random vibration theory to compute structural failure probability. The formulation of structural failure probability using random vibration theory, based on only the frequency information of the excitation, provides an important basis for structural analysis in places where there is a lack of sufficient recorded ground motions. The importance of frequency content of ground motions on probability of structural failure is studied for different levels of the nonlinear behavior of structures. The set of simulated ground motion for this study is based on the results of probabilistic seismic hazard analysis. It is demonstrated that the scenario events identified by the seismic risk differ from those obtained by the disaggregation of seismic hazard. The validity of the presented procedure is evaluated by Monte-Carlo simulation.

This paper describes the dynamic behavior and enhancement of Korean high-speed trains. The tail vibration reduction method of the yaw damper installation method change, which was derived from previous research, was applied to the running test of high-speed train. In addition, the vibration reduction method for the entire vehicle was derived by a numerical method and its effect was confirmed by a running test. The improved design was applied to the double-deck high-speed train coaches and the commissioning proceeded without problems in dynamic behavior. Sensitivity analysis of the suspension parameters affecting the critical speed of Korean next-generation high-speed trains was performed and four design variables that greatly affected the critical speed were derived. These were in the order of the primary elastic joint x-directional stiffness, the secondary yaw damper series stiffness, the secondary lateral damper damping coefficient, and the carbody damper damping coefficient. By optimizing the design variables, the suspension parameter that improves the critical speed by 23.3% can be used in the commercial designs of Korean next-generation high-speed trains.
