  • In this article, a new Aloha-based tag identification protocol is presented to improve the reading efficiency of the EPC C1 Gen2-based UHF RFID system. Collision detection (CD) plays a vital role in tag identification process which determines the efficiency of anti-collision protocols since most Aloha-based protocols optimize the incoming frame length based on the collisions in current frame. Existing CD methods are ineffective in identifying collision, resulting in a degradation of identification performance. Our proposed algorithm adopts an enhanced CD (ECD) scheme based on the EPC C1 Gen2 standard to optimize identification performance. The ECD method can realize timely and effective CD by detecting the pulse width of the randomly sent by tags. According to the ECD, the reader detects the slot distribution and predicts tag cardinality in every collision slot. The tags involved in each collision slot are identified by independently assigned sub-frames. A large number of numerical results show that the proposed solution is superior to other existing anti-collision protocols in various performance evaluation metrics.

  • Tag collection is one of the major concerns in radio frequency identification(RFID) system. All tags in RFID reader's transmission range send response message back to the reader in response to collection request message on the given rf channel. When multiple tags respond simultaneously, tag-collision may occur. Tag-collision problem is one of the most important issues in active RFID performance. To mitigate this problem, frame slotted ALOHA(FSA) anti-collision protocol is widely used in active RFID system. Several studies show that the maximum system efficiency of FSA anti-collision protocol is 36.8%. In this paper, we propose an efficient slotted CSMA/CA protocol to improve tag collection performance. We compare our protocol to the FSA anti-collision protocol. For the experiment, an 433MHz active RFID system is implemented, which is composed of an RFID reader and multiple tags. We evaluated the tag collection performance using one RFID reader and 40 tags in the real test bed. The experimental result shows that proposed protocol improves the tag collection time, round and collision probability by 18%, 37.4% and 77.8%, respectively.

  • RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) is a technology that automatically identifies objects containing the electronic tags by using radio wave. When there are some tags in the domain of the RFID reader, the mechanism that can solve a collision between the tags occurs is necessary. The multi tag identification problem is the core issue in the RFID and could be resolved by the anti-collision algorithm. However, RFID system has another problem. The problem id user information security. Tag response easily by query of reader, so the system happened user privacy violent problem by tag information exposure. In the case, RFID system id weak from sniffing by outside. In this paper, We study of security robustness for tree-walking algorithm, query tree algorithm and advanced query tree algorithm of tree based memoryless algorithm.

  • With the introduction of the new generation RFID technology, EPCglobal Class-1 Generation-2, there is considerable interest in improving the performance of the framed slotted Aloha (FSA)-based tag collision arbitration protocol. We suggest a novel time-optimal anti-collision algorithm for the FSA protocol. Our performance evaluation demonstrates that our algorithm outperforms other tag collision arbitration schemes.

  • An anti-collision algorithm is very important in the RFID system because it decides tag identification time and tag identification accuracy. We propose improved anti-collision algorithms using Bin slot in RFID system. In the proposed algorithms, if the reader memorizes the Bin slot information, it can reduce the repetition of unnecessary PingID command and the time to identify tags. If we also use ScrollA11ID command in the proposed algorithm, the reader knows the sequence of collided E bits. Using this sequence, the reader can reduce the repetition of PingID command and tag identification time. We analyze the performance of the proposed anti-collision algorithms and compare the performance of the proposed algorithms with that of the conventional algorithm. We also validate analytic results using simulation. According to the analysis, for the random tag n, comparing the proposed algorithms with the conventional algorithm, the performance of the proposed algorithms is about $130\%$ higher when the number of the tags is 200. And for the sequential tag ID, the performance of the conventional algorithm decreases. On the contrary, the performance of the proposed algerian using ScrollA11ID command is about $16\%$ higher than the case of using random tag ID.

  • This paper aims to build up a RFID-automated cargo movement system in an air-cargo warehouse. In our research, we do the spectrum measurements compliant with the RFID frequency bands to observe the interferences from legacy systems in the air-cargo warehouse. To overcome the dense-reader mode (DRM) problem, we apply three novel approaches, which are the periodic transmit of a reader, the Visible RFID reader & tag, and the sensor-based RFID system. Moreover, for the tag collision issue, we implement the Adaptive Adjustable Framed Q(AAFQ) algorithm, and the demonstration on RFID tag anti-collision algorithms show that the AAFQ algorithm has highly desirable tag anti-collision performance compared to any other commercially available solutions.

  • RFID, Radio Frequency Identification, technology is a contactless automatic identification technology using radio frequency. For this RFID technology to be widely spread, the problem of multiple tag identification, which a reader identifies a multiple number of tags in a very short time, has to be solved. Up to the present, many anti-collision algorithms have been developed in order to solve this problem, and those can be largely divided into ALOHA based algorithm and tree based algorithm. In this paper, two new anti-collision algorithms combining the characteristics of these two categories are presented. And the performances of the two algorithms are compared and evaluated in comparison with those of typical anti-collision algorithms: 18000-6 Type A, Type B, Type C, and query tree algorithm.

  • This paper is to improve an identification ratio of tags by analyzing Slotted ALOHA, Dynamic Slotted ALOHA, Binary-tree and Query-tree and shortening the tag identification time in mobile RFID. Also, it enables the stable information transmission of tags by saving backscattering power of tags through shortening of identification time. As a result, this increases the available time of the battery and accessibility to a RFID service. For this, we proposed the energy-efficient tag anti-collision protocol for mobile RFID. The proposed scheme shows advanced result in identification time and collision counts. This scheme may be the first attempt for the mobile anti-collision.

  • RFID(Radio frequency indentification) technology, that the reader detect the tag information attached on the objects without contact, is considered the kernel of realizing tile Ubiquitous Sensor Network. Particularly, because there are lots of tags(which the reader have to detect) in the UHF RFID system(that is applied at the Logistic & Distribution industry). In the UHF RFID system the negative effects, we called the tag-collision, may occur and we should solve these effects. So, in the EPCglobal Gen2 protocol they present the Slotted Random Anti-collision algorithm to prevent the tag-collision effect. In this paper, in order to minimize the tag-collision effect and bring on the system efficiency, we propose the Power Increasing Method that controls the transmission power of the reader depending on the environment and verily the improved performance.

  • In RFID System, one of the problem that we must slove is to devise a good anti-collision algorithms to improve the efficiency of tag identification which is usually low because of tag collision. Among of the existing RFID anti-collision algorithm, BS (Binary Search) algorithm, though simple, has a disadvantage that the stage 0f times used to identify the tags increase exponentially as the number of tags does. In this Paper, I propose a new anti-collision algorithm called Multi-collision reflected frame which restricts the number of stages and decided bit. Since the proposal algorithm keep the length size of UID and density of total tag when have 100%.
