Emotional Factors in Calligraphic TV Drama Title with CM Super (캘리그래피를 활용한 CM Super된 TV 드라마 타이틀의 감성요소)

  • Recently, the emotional design has become one of the central issues. The interest to Calligraphy also has increased. This study is to examine the effect of calligraphic TV title to viewers through questionnaires. As a result of the questionnaire analysis, calligraphic title makes a favorable impression on viewers. On the other hand, viewers have an antipathy to a drama program with a calligraphic title. The appropriate use of calligraphic title is requested. The viewers prefer that CM Super TV drama title is located to the right side in TV screen. They also prefer the animated moving title to colored background title. This study contributes to the further research about the correlation between TV commercial zap-rate and calligraphic title.

  • A named entity recognition method is used to improve the performance of information retrieval systems, question answering systems, machine translation systems and so on. The targets of the named entity recognition are usually PLOs (persons, locations and organizations). They are usually proper nouns or unregistered words, and traditional named entity recognizers use these characteristics to find out named entity candidates. The titles of books, movies and TV programs have different characteristics than PLO entities. They are sometimes multiple phrases, one sentence, or special characters. This makes it difficult to find the named entity candidates. In this paper we propose a method to quickly extract title named entities from news articles and automatically build a named entity dictionary for the titles. For the candidates identification, the word phrases enclosed with special symbols in a sentence are firstly extracted, and then verified by the SVM with using feature words and their distances. For the classification of the extracted title candidates, SVM is used with the mutual information of word contexts.

  • In the modern times, video media area is dramatically developing and growing. The motion graphic that is one of video presentation technique as an effective communication way between sender and receiver is beginning to make its appearance. The motion graphic provides the clearance of visual information to deliver it more easily and accurately and improves the effect of communication to increase the effect of image and information delivery. In this research, the writer wants to examine the production method of motion graphic to improve convenience and efficiency of communication to the better direction for production process by researching and analyzing the title design and its structure having short and significant information delivery and strong visual presentation function.

  • In the field of video design, motion graphics tends to be realized to deliver a certain message properly incorporating basic motion graphics components such as space, form of expression, and time, and has continued to be used as a powerful communication tool. Many cases proved that title sequences were produced as a result of combination of a variety of quick images and effects with appropriately chosen sounds to meet the demands of audience. This study indicated that motion graphics began to be widely used as a more powerful video communication tool for title sequences and also applied for M-NET, DMB, CABLE TV, IPTV, and others.

  • This paper describes TVML (TV program Making Language) for automatically generating television programs from text-based script. This language describes the contents of a television program using expression with a high level of abstraction like“title #1”and“zoom-in”. The software used to read a script written in TVML and to automatically generate the program video and audio is called the TVML Player. The paper begins by describing TVML language specifications and the TVML Player. It then describes the“external control mode”of the TVML Player that can be used for applying TVML to interactive applications. Finally, it describes the TVML Editor, a user interface that we developed which enables users having no specialized knowledge of computer languages to make TVML scripts. In addition to its role as a television-program production tool. TVML is expected to have a wide range of applications in the network and multimedia fields.

  • The most dangerous and safest place, the busiest and most serene place, the DMZ where the wounds of the bitter war melt away, but at the same time contain life and healing. In this space of paradox, we now want to look at 'peace'. The KTV documentary 'DMZ Coexistence' is made in the form of a human road documentary that consists of various perspectives looking at the DMZ, various characters, and the most unknown Korean story materials, and the stories related to the performers in UHD 4K. In this study, we will show the process of creating an 'opening title' of 'DMZ Coexistence' captured in 4k and make it usable in academia and industry in the future.

  • 그동안 커뮤니케이션 효과에 관한 많은 연구들이 진행되어 왔다. 특히 의제설정 관련 이론들은 맥콤과 쇼(McCombs & Shaw, 1972)[1]에 의해 최초의 연구가 발표된 이후, 수백 편 이상의 관련 연구들이 축적되어 왔다. 이러한 연구들을 통해서 미디어가 중요하게 보도한 의제는 수용자 의제에 많은 영향을 미친다는 사실을 누구도 부정하기 어렵다. 그러나 이러한 연구들은 주로 언어텍스트를 중심으로 이루어져왔다. 그러나 신문이나 인터넷 미디어와는 달리, TV 미디어에서 수용자들은 언어텍스트에 의해서만 정보를 얻는다고 보기는 어렵다. 본 연구는 텔레비전 뉴스 보도에서 영상과 자막이 수용자의 의제설정 효과에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 실험을 통해 검증해보고자 한다.

  • 디지털 TV 방송의 시작과 함께 온갖 종류의 정보를 쌍방향으로 전달할 수 있는 데이터 방송이 가능해졌다. 그 중 연동형 데이터 방송은 방송 프로그램을 전송하면서 그 프로그램과 관련된 데이터를 같이 제공하는 서비스이다. 본 논문에서는 TV 방송을 보면서 퀴즈 자막을 내보내고, 리모콘을 통해 즉각적인 정답확인이 가능한 데이터 방송 애플리케이션 Xlet을 개발하였다. 더불어 자막으로 내보내지는 퀴즈의 내용 및 유형 등을 제어하는 퀴즈 자막 편집기를 구현하였다. 프로그램 PD는 퀴즈 자막 편집기를 통해 퀴즈의 유형과 내용, 글자의 크기와 색상, 자막이 나가는 시간등을 선택하고. 제어된 내용을 파일에 저장할 수 있다. 실제 TV상의 에뮬레이터나 PC상의 에뮬레이터에서 데이터 방송 마스터 프로그램을 실행시키면 방송이 시작된다. 이 때 편집기를 통해 만들어진 파일의 내용을 읽어와 PD가 지정한 내용과 시간에 퀴즈를 내보내게 된다. 이것을 보는 시청자는 리모콘으로 답을 입력하고 그 에 대한 정답 여부를 확인할 수 있도록 한다.

  • Gaming is an old humans' habit. Games help in logical development and encourage learning of theoretical and practical concepts. Besides they offer entertainment and challenge. The advent of the personal computer changed this tradition. Every year new challenges arise in a digital format, which lead the young and adults to spend hours in front of a computer or TV screen in an attempt to overcome hurdles and reach an objective. Quality, sophistication, and constant innovation are attained through complex computer software that almost has an obligation to improve as each new title is released, due to this game development becomes a challenge. Considering that a game title is software and thus faces the same restrictions of business applications, this article intends to analyze, under the optics of reuse, if game development resorts to reuse, and where and how this happens.

  • 본 논문은 방송 프로그램 제작에 있어서 영상자막 제작 기법에 따른 다양한 현상들을 살펴보고자 한다. 기존의 방송 프로그램 제작에 있어서 자막의 기능(sub-title)은 간략한 정보를 전달하는 기능으로 사용되었다. 그러나 최근 다양한 방송 프로그램에서 활용되고 있는 영상 자막의 기능과 효과는 단순한 정보를 제공하는 기능에서 새로운 패러다임을 통한 유행적 패턴으로 발전되고 있는 형식을 살펴볼 수 있다.
