TU 블록 크기에 따른 CNN기반 인루프필터 (CNN-based In-loop Filter on TU Block)

  • VVC(Versatile Video Coding)는 입력된 영상을 CTU(Coding Tree Unit) 단위로 분할하여 코딩하며, 이를 다시 QTBTT(Quadtree plus binary tree and triple tree)로 분할하고, TU(Transform Unit)도 이와 같은 단위로 분할된다. 따라서 TU의 크기는 $4{\times}4$, $4{\times}8$, $4{\times}16$, $4{\times}32$, $8{\times}4$, $16{\times}4$, $32{\times}4$, $8{\times}8$, $8{\times}16$, $8{\times}32$, $16{\times}8$, $32{\times}8$, $16{\times}16$, $16{\times}32$, $32{\times}16$, $32{\times}32$, $64{\times}64$의 17가지 종류가 있다. 기존의 VVC 참조 Software인 VTM에서는 디블록킹필터와 SAO(Sample Adaptive Offset)로 이루어진 인루프필터를 이용하여 에러를 복원하는데, 본 논문은 TU 크기에 따라서 원본블록과 복원블록의 차이(에러)가 통계적으로 다름을 이용하여 서로 다른 CNN(Convolution Neural Network)을 구축하고 에러를 복원하는 방법으로 VTM의 인루프 필터를 대체한다. 복원영상의 에러를 감소시키기 위하여 TU 블록크기에 따라 DenseNet의 Dense Block기반 CNN을 구성하고, Hyper Parameter와 복잡도의 감소를 위해 네트워크 간에 일부 가중치를 공유하는 모양의 Network를 구성하였다.

Effects of Glucuronic Acid Derivative Isolated from Xylan on Antioxidative Defense System in Rat Red Gastrocnemius after Aerobic Exercise

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of glucuyonic acid (isolated from xylan) on the antioxidative defense systems of red gastrocnemius in rats after aerobic exercise. The glucuronic acid was isolated from xylan. Male Sprague-Dawley vats weighing 150$\pm$10 g were randomly assigned to one normal group and three exercise training groups. The exercise training groups were classified as T (glucuronic acid-free diet), TU (250mg glucuronic acid/kg bw) and 2TU (500mg glucuronic acid /kg bw) according to the level of glucuvonic acid supplementation. The rats in the normal group were confined to a cage for 4 weeks. The rats in the exercise training groups ran on a treadmill for 30 min/day, 5 days/week at a speed of 28 m/min (7% incline) for 4 weeks. Glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (GOT) activity in the exercise training groups increased significantly compared with that of the normal group. That of the TU and 2TU groups decreased significantly compared with that of the T group. Xanthine oxidase (XOD) activity in the T group increased significantly to 74% compared with that of the normal group. That of the 2TU group decreased to 42% compared with that of the T group, thus recovering to a normal level. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in the T group decreased to 32% compared with that of the normal group. That of the TU and 2TU groups increased to 28% and 34%, respectively, compared with that of the T group. Glutathione peroxidase (GSHpx) activity in the T group decreased to 16% compared with that of the normal group, but that of the TU group increased to 17% compared with that of the T group. Glutathiones transferase (GST) activity in the T group decreased to 11% compared with that of the normal group, but that of the TU and 2TU groups Increased to 28% and 31%, respectively, compared with that of the T group. The contents of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) in the T group increased to 81% compared with that of the normal group, but the glucuronic supplementation group recovered to the normal level. In conclusio, the effects of glucuronic acid on red gastrocnemius in rats engaged in exercise training would appear to be to reduced lipid peroxidation of tissue as an antioxidative defense mechanism.

Variability in the Viral Protein Linked to the Genome of Turnip Mosaic Virus Influences Interactions with eIF(iso)4Es in Brassica rapa

  • Plants protect against viruses through passive and active resistance mechanisms, and in most cases characterized thus far, natural recessive resistance to potyviruses has been mapped to mutations in the eukaryotic initiation factor eIF4E or eIF(iso)4E genes. Five eIF4E copies and three eIF(iso)4E copies were detected in Brassica rapa. The eIF4E and eIF(iso)4E genes could interact with turnip mosaic virus (TuMV) viral protein linked to the genome (VPg) to initiate virus translation. From the yeast two-hybrid system (Y2H) and bimolecular fluorescence complementation (BiFC) assays, the TuMV-CHN2/CHN3 VPgs could not interact with BraA.eIF4E.a/c or BraA.eIF(iso)4E.c, but they could interact with BraA.eIF(iso)4E.a in B. rapa. Further analysis indicated that the amino acid substitution L186F (nt T556C) in TuMV-UK1 VPg was important for the interaction networks between the TuMV VPg and eIF(iso)4E proteins. An interaction model of the BraA. eIF(iso)4E protein with TuMV VPg was constructed to infer the effect of the significant amino acids on the interaction of TuMV VPgs-eIF(iso)4Es, particularly whether the L186F in TuMV-UK1 VPg could change the structure of the TuMV-UK1 VPg protein, which may terminate the interaction of the BraA.eIF(iso)4E and TuMV VPg protein. This study provides new insights into the interactions between plant viruses and translation initiation factors to reveal the working of key amino acids.

HEVC 엔트로피 부호화를 고려한 비균등 양자화 방법 (Non-fixed Quantization Considering Entropy Encoding in HEVC)

  • ITU-T VCEG과 ISO/IEC MPEG은 공동으로 JCT-VC(Joint Collaborative Team on Video Coding) 를 구성하여 차세대 비디오 코덱 HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding)에 대한 표준화를 진행하고 있다. HEVC에서 사용되고 있는 양자화 및 역 양자화는 TU(Transform Unit)내 모든 위치의 변환계수에 동일한 크기의 양자화 및 역 양자화를 수행한다. TU내의 변환계수는 동일하게 분포되어 있지 않으므로 모든 위치의 변환계수에 동일한 크기의 양자화 및 역 양자화를 수행하는 것은 비효율적이다. 또한 주사 순서상 뒤쪽에 있는 양자화 된 계수는 엔트로피 부호화 방법상 비효율적 일 수도 있다. 이 논문에서는 엔트로피 부호화의 효율성을 고려하여 TU 내 변환계수의 위치에 따라 다른 크기의 양자화를 수행하여 성능을 향상시키는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 이 알고리즘의 원리는 양자화 된 계수 분포의 통계적 특징에 따른 TU의 주사 순서에 따라 다른 크기의 양자화 및 역 양자화를 수행하는 것이다. 이 알고리즘은 평균 Y BD-rate 0.34% 의 압축률 향상을 나타내었다.

순무모자이크바이러스에 대한 무 육종 계통 저항성 평가 (Resistance Evaluation of Radish (Raphanus sativus L.) Inbred Lines against Turnip mosaic virus)

  • 무(Raphanus sativus L.) 육종 계통들에 대한 순무모자이크 바이러스(Turnip mosaic virus, TuMV) 저항성을 평가하기 위하여, 20개 무 육종계통들의 잎에 순무모자이크바이러스 BR 병원성을 가지는 국내 분리 계통을 즙액 접종하였다. 순무모자이크바이러스를 접종한 무 개체들은 $22^{\circ}C{\pm}3^{\circ}C$에서 재배하였으며 4주 동안 바이러스 병징 발현을 육안으로 조사하여 저항성을 평가하였다. 순무모자이크바이러스 감염에 의해서 무 육종계통들의 다른 병징 발현에 의해 분석한 결과, 16개 무 계통은 약한 모자이크, 모틀링에서 심한 모자이크 전신 병징을 보였으며 감수성으로 판별되었다. 이러한 결과는 순무모자이크바이러스 외피단백질 유전자에 대한 특이적 역전사중합효소연쇄반응에 의하여 확인되어, 순무모자이크바이러스가 병징을 발현시킨 원인이었다. 이와는 다르게 4개 무 육종계통들에서는 모자이크 등 전신 감염 병징이 발현되지 않았으며, 동일한 무 육종 계통들의 개체들에서 8주 동안 병징이 관찰되지 않았다. 역전사중합효소연쇄반응으로 조사한 결과 4개 무 육종 계통들의 상엽들에서 순무모자이크바이러스가 검출되지 않았다. 이런 결과는 4개 무 육종계통들이 순무모자이크바이러스에 대한 강한 저항성을 가지고 있음을 예시해준다.

  • Objectives: TuRo, defined as a dance therapy applying the meridian Qi system into the dancing movements, may have effects on ameliorating the psychological symptoms that often appear in adolescent students in a stressful situation. The Objective of the present study was to examine whether TuRo training relieves the psychological symptoms in adolescent female students. Methods: Symptom Check List-90-Revision (SCL-90-R), a 5 point Likert scale, consisted of 90 items that represent psychological symptoms, were used to measure the psychological health status in healthy adolescent female. Twenty two adolescent female students were trained TuRo dancing for two months while 29 in control group were trained mimicked movements without the concept of Qi for the same period. Changes in Somatization, Obsessive-Compulsive behaviors, Interpersonal Sensitivity, Depression, Anxiety, Hostility, Phobic Anxiety, Parinoid Ideation and Psychotic symptoms by the two months of training were compared between TuRo and control groups using SCL-9Q-R. Ultrastructural Aspects of the Mixed Infections with Turnip mosaic virus and Ribgrass mosaic virus in Oriental Cabbage

  • Ultrastructural observation was conducted for the cells of oriental cabbage, Brassica campestris ssp. pekinensis 'Chungawang', inoculated simultaneously with Turnip mosaic virus (TuMV-ACT2-4vq) and Ribgrass mosaic virus (RMV-Ca1dn2) which were known as major destructive viruses of oriental cabbage in Korea. In cells infected with RMV alone, the virus particles were located as bundle or scattering in cytosols and vacuoles, which were typical ultrastructures of tobamovirus. Vessels of xylem were compacted with RMV particles. The cells infected only with TuMV had the cluster of virus particles scarcely and the typical potyvirus inclusions of scrolls, pinwheels, tubes and laminated aggregates in cytosols. The TuMV particles were jammed lineally between tonoplasts. In double infection, the two unrelated viruses of TuMV-ACT2-4vq and RMV-CA1dn2 were located together in a cell, and typical properties of each virus were also observed. The potyvirus inclusions and the tobamovirus particles were mixed entirely in cytoplasm. The virus particles of RMV wre presented strikingly near and in the center of potyvirus inclusions. In vascular cells, the tobamovirus particles were located abundantly than those in single infection. The potyvirus inclusions were embedded in the cluster of RMV particles in phloem parenchyma cells and the vascular elements were degenerated severely.

구리 전기 도금에 Thiourea가 미치는 효과 (Effect of Thiourea on the Copper Electrodeposition)

  • The effect of organic additives, thiourea (TU), on the copper electroplated layer of large rectangular size was investigated through physical and various electrochemical techniques. It was found that TU had strong adsorption characteristics on the Ni substrate and affected the initial electroplating process by inducing surface reaction instead of mass transfer in the bulk solution. TU additives had its critical micelle concentration at 200 ppm in copper sulphate solution and showed abrupt change in morphological and electrochemical impedance spectroscopic results around this concentration, which could be related with the destruction of adsorption structure of TU-Cu(I) complex formed at the Ni substrate surface. By conducting a commercial electroplating simulation, when TU additives was included at cmc in the plating solution, it acted as a depolarizer for copper electrodeposition and was effective to reduce the unevenness of copper deposits between centre and edge region at high current densities of 10 ASD.

Theoretical Approach to Calculate Surface Chloride Content $C_s$ of Submerged Concrete under Sea Water Laden Environment

  • The ingress of chloride ions plays a crucial role for service life design of reinforced concrete structures. In view of durability design of concrete structures under marine environment, one of the most essential parameters is the surface chloride content of concrete. However, on the basis of the results of in-situ investigation, this value has been determining in the numerous studies on the durability design of concrete structures. Hence, it is necessary to confirm the range of the surface chloride content in order to establish a unified durability design system of concrete. This study suggests a rational and practical way to calculate the maximum surface chloride content of submerged concrete under marine environment. This approach starts with the calculation of the amount of chloride ingredients in normal sea water. The capillary pore structure is modeled by numerical simulation model HYMOSTRUC and it is assumed to be completely saturated by the salt ingredients of sea water. In order to validate this approach, the total chloride content of the mortar and concrete slim disc specimen was measured after the immersion into the artificial sea water solution. Additionally, the theoretical, the experimental and in-situ investigation results of other researchers are compiled and analyzed. Based on this approach, it will follow to calculate the maximum surface chloride content of concrete at tidal zone, where the environment can be considered as a condition of dry-wetting cycles.
