抗癌 및 免疫에 대한 托裡消毒散의 效果;萬病回春方을 중심으로 (The Effects of Taklysodoksan Extract on the Anti-cancer and Immunity)

  • Taklysodoksan(TSS) was a drug used in the treatment of carbuncle and cellulitis in oriental medicine. The purpose of this Study is to investigate the anti-cancer effect of TSS, the proliferation of immunocytes and nitric oxide(NO) production from peritoneal macrophages of mice. This Study estimated the proliferation of Ll210 cell lines, mouse thymocytes and splenocytes and NO production from peritoneal macrophages in vitro and vivo. The proliferation of cells was tested using a colorimetric tetrazoliun assay(MTT assay). From the in vitro and vivo Study of TSS treatment, it did not effect the proliferation of L1210 cells. It also did not have any positive prodution of NO in peritoneal macrophages. This results suggest that TSS treatment in WanBingHuiChun(萬病回春) did not have significant anti-cancer effect and immuno-action comparing with TSS treatment of WaiKeZhengZhong(外科正宗).

온도감응성 키토산 중성용액을 이용한 약물송달시스템 (Temperature-Sensitive Drug Delivery System of Acetaminophen Using Neutral Chitosan Solution)

  • In the present study, chitosan-glycerophosphate sodium salt solution as a thermosensitive system (TSS) was used to formulate a temperature-sensitive drug delivery system (TSDDS) containing acetaminophen (AAP). The optimized TSS was prepared by measuring gelation temperature, gelation time and rheological properties of TSS. The optimized gelation temperature and time of TSS were $36^{\circ}C$ and 100 seconds, respectively. The viscosity of TSS was also suitable for maintaining gel structure at $37.2^{\circ}C$. The release profiles of TSDDS in PBS/pH 7.4 with various apparatuses and mass loss of TSDDS were investigated. The time required to release 50% of AAP from TSDDS ($t_{50%}$) was 120 min with the formation of pore on the surfaces, which was 2 times longer than that from AAP-chitosan gel. In addition, TSDDS was degraded approximately 80% within 4 hr and then degraded slowly for 20 hrs. In conclusion, AAP-TSS (TSDDS) formulated in this study might be suitable for some specific uses such as subcutaneous injection and rectal formulation.

오염저감 기법개발을 위한 유출수내 고형물질 특성 규명 (Analysis of Solids in Runoff to Prevent Solids Pollution)

  • The fate and transport mechanism of pollutants which have affinities to particles, such as trace metals and some petroleum product based compounds, can be effectively explained by the movement of sediment. The sediment release from lands to adjacent water bodies due to rainfall events was investigated in an effort to predict the total suspended solids (TSS) concentrations in runoff. The contribution of sediment from land origin to the river TSS can be better understood by the relationship between TSS concentration and particle size in runoff. The sieve analysis was used to determine the particle size distribution and these results were incorporated into statistical models. The critical size of particles was set to $74{\mu}m$ which contributes to the river TSS concentration since fine particles (wash load) of the sediment in the runoff play the key role in constituting TSS in a water column of the river. Empirical relationships were developed to predict TSS in runoff from the percentage of the critical particle size and were proven statistically to be valid.

이상 혐기성 소화 공정을 통한 슬러지 발생량 저감과 바이오가스 생산에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Sludge Reduction and Biogas Production through a Two-phase Anaerobic Digestion Process)

  • 슬러지 감량 효율을 높이기 위해 오존전처리와 고 액분리조를 이용한 이상 혐기성 소화 공정 통해 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 오존전처리를 통한 슬러지의 고형물 농도는 평균 TSS $8.3{\pm}2.0%$, VSS $9.2{\pm}2.8%$의 감소율을 나타내었다. 유기물 농도인 TCOD는 평균 $5.1{\pm}2.4%$ 감소하는 반면 SCOD는 평균 $72.0{\pm}6.5%$ 증가하였는데, 이는 오존으로 인해 세포내의 고분자 유기물이 용출되어 가용화되었기 때문이다. 이상 혐기성 소화 공정의 반응조별 소화가 진행됨에 따라 평균 TSS $21.5{\pm}3.4%$, VSS $20.2{\pm}8.4%$, TCOD $32.1{\pm}7.9%$, SCOD $22.1{\pm}7.2%$의 농도가 감소하였다. 최대 메탄생성량은 177.6 mL $CH_4/g$ TSS, 210.8 mL $CH_4/g$ VSS, 127.0 mL $CH_4/g$ TCOD, 1452.0 mL $CH_4/g$ SCOD이었다. 이상 혐기성 소화와 MLE 하수처리 공정의 연계처리 후 고형물 물질수지 결과 TSS 93.8%, VSS 92.0%의 감소율을 보였다. 이상 혐기성 소화 공정은 슬러지 처리 문제 해결과 신 재생에너지인 바이오가스 회수의 가능성을 보여줌으로서 향후 슬러지 감량에 해결책이 될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • H.263을 화상 회의에 이용할 때, 압축율과 마찬가지로 중요한 것이 인코딩과 디코딩 시간이다. 특히 인코딩 시간을 줄이기 위하여 많은 방법들이 제안되었는데, 그 중 한 가지가 인코딩 시간의 상당 부분을 차지하는 움직임 추정에서 복잡도를 감소시키는 방법이다. 이러한 움직임 추정의 복잡도를 규정짓는 요소로 비용 함수, 탐색 영역 인수, 움직임 탐색 알고리즘이 있다. 인코딩 시간을 줄이기 위해서는 이 세 가지의 복잡도를 줄이면 된다. 특히 비용 함수가 H.263 인코딩 시간의 상당 부분을 차지하고 있는데, 이는 비용 함수가 호출되는 횟수가 매우 많기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 움직임 탐색 알고리즘의 복잡도를 감소시킴으로써 비용함수의 호출 횟수를 줄여 전체 인코딩 시간을 줄이고자 한다. 움직임이 적은 경우 TSS(Three Step Search) 및 NTSS(New TSS)와 비교하여 더욱 빠른 움직임 탐색이 가능하도록 하고, TSS보다 많은 체크포인트를 요구하는 NTSS의 단점을 개선한 ITSS(Improved TSS)를 제안하였다. 그리고 본 알고리즘과 다른 알고리즘의 PSNR, 파일 크기, SAD 호출 횟수 비교로 실험하였다.

TaC 첨가 Ti(C,N)-Ni 서멧의 내열충격 특성 (Thermal Shock Resistance Property of TaC Added Ti(C,N)-Ni Cermets)

  • Thermal shock resistance property has recently been considered to be one of the most important basic properties, in the same way that the transverse-rupture property is important for sintered hard materials such as ceramics, cemented carbides, and cermets. Attempts were made to evaluate the thermal shock resistance property of 10 vol% TaC added Ti(C,N)-Ni cermets using the infrared radiation heating method. The method uses a thin circular disk that is heated by infrared rays in the central area with a constant heat flux. The technique makes it possible to evaluate the thermal shock strength (Tss) and thermal shock fracture toughness (Tsf) directly from the electric powder charge and the time of fracture, despite the fact that Tss and Tsf consist of the thermal properties of the material tested. Tsf can be measured for a specimen with an edge notch, while Tss cannot be measured for specimens without such a notch. It was thought, however, that Tsf might depend on the radius of curvature of the edge notch. Using the Tsf data, Tss was calculated using a consideration of the stress concentration. The thermal shock resistance property of 10 vol% TaC added Ti(C,N)-Ni cermet increased with increases in the content of nitrogen and Ni. As a result, it was considered that Tss could be applied to an evaluation of the thermal shock resistance of cermets.

품질경영활동의 효율성을 고려한 평가모형 (Total quality management Activities Evaluation (TAE) Model by the traditional scoring system and the efficiency measuring system)

  • To evaluate the total quality activities is the most fundamental and critical process as one of the PDCA cycle. The quality award criteria such as Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and Deming Award can be a, pp.ied to the guideline for evaluating quality activities. We can identify several important factors for TQM by referring quality award criteria, but they don't suggest how efficiently implement TQM. In this paper, two methodologies are a, pp.ied to evaluate the TQM activities comparatively. One of them is the traditional scoring system (TSS) by analytic hierarchy process (AHP). TSS is the system which evaluates the performance of TQM by the weighted sum of critical success factors. Several quality award system are typical examples of TSS. The other is the efficiency measuring system (EMS) by data envelop analysis (DEA). DEA outperformed other alternative methods to measure the efficiency and it can be a, pp.ied to evaluate the TQM activities. The evaluation system by DEA can be named as EMS. The objective of this paper is to suggest a model called TAE (Total quality management Activities Evaluation), for evaluating TQM activities. In this model TQM organizations are classified into four types by considering TSS and EMS. Those types are high weighted sum and high efficiency type, high weighted sum and low efficiency type, low weighted sum and high efficiency type, and low weighted sum and low efficiency type. Therefore TQM organizations must not only make efforts to get the higher scores in terms of TSS, but also take necessary steps to enhance their efficiencies.

반응표면분석법을 이용한 터널폐수 응집-혼화 공정의 주요인자 영향 분석 및 최적화 (Utilization of response surface methodology to optimize a coagulation-flocculation process for tunnel wastewater treatment)

  • A coagulation-flocculation (CF) process using aluminum sulfate as a coagulant was employed to treat highly suspended solids in tunnel wastewater. Response surface methodology (RSM) based on a Box-Behnken design was applied to evaluate the effects of three factors (coagulant dosage, pH and temperature) on total suspended solids (TSS) removal efficiency as well as to identify optimal values of those factors to maximize removal of TSS. Optimal conditions of coagulant dosage and pH for maximum TSS removal changed depending on the temperature ($4{\sim}24^{\circ}C$). As temperature increased, the amount of coagulant dosage and pH level decreased for maximum TSS removal efficiency during the CF process. Proper adjustment of optimal pH and coagulant dosage to accommodate temperature fluctuations can improve TSS removal performance of the CF process.

  • 움직임 보상 부호화 가법은 연속한 비디오 프레임간의 시간적 증복성을 제거하기 때문에 비디오 영상 압축에 매우 중요한 역합을 한다. 그러나 많은 계산량으로 인하여 실시간 응용이나 고해상도 응용에 많은 어려움이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 빠른 탑색 가법과 하드웨어 설계 기법이 활발히 연구되어 왔다. 특히 계산량을 크게 줄이고 안정된 성능을 갖는 삼단계 탐색 기법이 널리 이용되고 있으며 이를 기반으로 한 새로운 탐색 기법들이 제안되었다 본 논문에서는 인접한 블럭들의 움직임 벡터가 미치는 영향을 고려하여 수정된 삼단계 탐색 기법을 제안하고 이의 성능을 평가한다. 실험에 의하여 제안된 기법이 삼단계 탐색 기법에 비교하여 적은 계산량을 가지며, MAE 측면에서 이득이 있음을 보였다.

Diagnosis and management of toxic shock syndrome after breast reconstructive procedures with silicone implants

  • Breast implant insertion is one of the most commonly used methods for breast reconstruction after total mastectomy. However, infection is a common postoperative complication of implant insertion. In most cases, these infections can be managed with antibiotics and supportive therapy. However, severe septic conditions, such as toxic shock syndrome (TSS), can sometimes occur. TSS is an extremely rare but life-threatening complication, for which early diagnosis and proper management play a crucial role in determining patients' outcome. Although only 16 cases of TSS after breast implant insertion have been reported in the literature, most of those cases involved a serious clinical course. The reason for the seriousness of the clinical course of TSS in these cases is that the initial impression and presentation of these patients are nonspecific, and patients can easily be misdiagnosed as having a simple upper respiratory infection, causing the underlying condition to be neglected. Herein, we present two patients who were diagnosed with TSS after receiving breast reconstruction surgery via a silicone implant after total mastectomy. Both patients were misdiagnosed at the initial examination since they showed no local infectious signs on the postoperative wound.
