Trace Metals of Ambient TSP in Daegu Area (대구지역 총 부유분진중 중금속)

  • This study was carried out to characterize the behavior and sources of particulate trace metal in Daegu city. TSP (Total Suspended Particulate matter) was collected by filters on High Volume Air Sampler from the four areal (reference, residential, commercial, industrial area). The moult were analyzed by AAS after preliminary treatment. The average centration trend of trace metals contained in TSP was shown as follows : Fe > Cu > Pb > Mn > Ni > Cr > Cd. The trace metals showed the highest concentration in the industrial area. This study showed the seasonal variation of trace metals. Fe and Mn showed high concentration in spring, whereas Cr, Ni, Cd and Pb showed high concentration in winter. Also this study showed the regional variation of trace metals. The order of the average concentration of trace metals was : industrial > commercial > residential > reference area. Using Mn as a reference element, the enrichment factor analysis were used for identifying the trace element contributors. The enrichment factors of Cr, Fe < 10 were considered to have a significant dust and soil source and termed nonenriched. Pb, Cd, Cu >>10 were enriched and had a significant fraction which was contributed by anthropogenic sources.

Task-Sequencing Design for the FMC Transfer Robot Using Traveling Salesman Problem (외판원 문제(TSP)를 이용한 FMC 반송 로봇의 작업순서 설계)

  • 본 논문은 외판원 문제(TSP: Traveling Salesman Problem)를 이용하여 로봇중심의 FMC(Flexible Manufacturing Cell)에서 반송 로봇의 작업순서를 설계하는 방법을 제시하였다. 이를 위해, 먼저 다수의 설비와 반송 로봇으로 구성된 대표적인 로봇 중심의 FMC를 가상으로 설계한 후, 실험계획법을 이용하여 다양한 조건에서의 주요 반응변수들의 인과관계를 규명하였다. 실험결과, 처리량, 반송로봇의가동률, 그리고 Buffer의 평균 대기 작업물의 수가 주요 반응변수들로 선정되었으며, 이를 기반으로 순서기반 조합최적화 문제인 TSP로 로봇 작업순서를 설계하였다. 제안한 방법과 기존의 방법을 비교하기 위해서 시뮬레이션을 수행 한 결과 제안된 TSP 방법이 기존의 방법 보다 반송 로봇의 교착 (Deadlock) 상태를 방지하여 처리량 등 주요 반응변수들 모두를 향상 시키는 결과를 가져왔다. 더불어,이 방법은 본 연구에서 제시한 FMC 뿐 아니라 반도체나 LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) 생산 공정과 같이 반송 로봇에 의해 구성되어 있는 장치 산업분야에 적용가능하다는 측면에서 큰 효과가 기대된다.

타부탐색(Tabu Search)의 확장모델을 이용한 '외판원 문제(Traveling Salesman Problem)' 풀기

  • In solving the Travel Salesman Problem(TSP), we easily reach local optimal solutions with the existing methods such as TWO-OPT, THREE-OPT, and Lin-Kernighen. Tabu search, as a meta heuristic, is a good mechanism to get an optimal or a near optimal solution escaping from the local optimal. By utilizing AI concepts, tabu search continues to search for improved solutions. In this study, we focus on developing a new neighborhood structure that maintains the feasibility of the tours created by exchange operations in TSP. Intelligent methods are discussed, which keeps feasible tour routes even after exchanging several edges continuously. An extended tabu search model, performing cycle detection and diversification with memory structure, is applied to TSP. The model uses effectively the information gathered during the search process. Finally, the results of tabu search and simulated annealing are compared based on the TSP problems in the prior literatures.

  • The research described in this paper is conducted to estimate the short-term concentrations of nonreactive pollutants such as CO and TSP from vehicle emissions near Kyungbu Highway. An emphasis is placed on the development of a model for a hourly traffic volume for each vehicle type, which is based on real traffic data. By using the model and the calculated emission factor due to vehicle speed for each vehicle type, the emission rate of CO and TSP for each traffic line is computed. The hourly emission rate and meteorological data are used to simulate by HIWAY-2 for the distance of 5m and 10m from the downwind edge of Kyungbu Highway located in relatively uncomplicated terrain.

A Synergy Effect of Trisodium Phosphate and Ethanol on Inactivation of Murine Norovirus 1 on Lettuce and Bell Pepper

  • The synergy effect of trisodium phosphate (TSP) and ethanol against murine norovirus 1 (MNV-1), as a surrogate for human noroviruses, on fresh produces was evaluated. More than 2% (w/v) of TSP effectively inactivated MNV-1. The single treatment of 1% TSP or 30% ethanol for 30 min was not effective on MNV-1; however, cotreatment showed inactivation of MNV-1 on stainless steel and the produces of lettuce and bell pepper under 15 min. The results suggest that cotreatment of TSP and ethanol at a low concentration and a short time of exposure might be useful for the reduction of norovirus in some produce.

  • Telematics, one of the so-called New Growth Engine of IT839, is a leading IT service where wireless internet service represented by information and mobility is extended to the area of transportation. To provide telematics service, Telematics service provider have to connect with various Contents Provider or Service Provide server - for example - LBSS(Location Based Service Server), ASPS(Application Service Provider Server), TELICS(TELematics Information Center Server), GMS(Geo-mobility Server), WTPS(World Telematics Protocol Server) and MAUS(Map Air Update Server). Presently, It is nearly impossible or very difficult for the company that are manufacturing and testing telematics device to develop and test telematics solution without connecting Telematics Service Provider, Service Provider, Contents Provider. And, it is very difficult to connect in TSP, CP, SP having the product to be developed. In this paper, we proposed virtual telematics service provider. The proposed Virtual Telematics Service Provider is to provide telematics services and functionalities by integrating telematics servers into TSP gateway virtually. In other words, VTSP is performs with the role of TSP, CP, SP. And the VTSP support integration of telematics servers, interfacing and monitoring between terminal and the integrated servers.

  • A touch screen panel embedded 12.1-inch TFT LCD employing a standard a-Si:H TFT process has been successfully developed. Compared with conventional external touch screen panels, the new internal TSP exhibits a clearer image and improved touch feeling. Our new internal proposed TSP can be fabricated with low cost.

  • In this paper an approximate solution method for the large-scale Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) is presented. The method starts with the subdivision of the problem domain into a number of cluster by considering their geometric characteristic. Each cluster has a limited number of nodes so as to get a local solution. They are linked go give the least pathe which covers the whole domain and become TSPs solution with start-and end-node. The approximate local solution in each cluster are obtained based on geometrical properties of the cluster, and combined to give an overall approximate solution for the larte-scale TSP.

  • Seismic Reflection Methods (TSP, HSP) have been applied in the junction between 2nd Adit and Main Tunnel (Solan Tunnel) of Youngdiong Railroad (Mt. Dongbaek~Dokye). In this paper, methods and case study will be introduced to predict discontinuties in the tunnel before excavation by the Seismic Reflection Methods (TSP, HSP)and secure construction stability of the tunnel in blasting and excavation.

  • During the period from Mar. 1985 to Feb. 1988, airborne particulate matters were collected and size fractionated by the ANdersen high volume air sampler in Seoul. The concentrations of several heavy metals (Pb, Cu, Zn, Fe, Mn) and benzo(a)pyrene were determined to investigate the size distributions and seasonal variations. And with respect to seven components in the total suspended particulate (TSP), the factor analysis was performed for three groups such as the coarse particles (> 2 $\mu$m), fine particles (< $\mu$m) and TSP. As a result of factor analysis by using the varimax method, the chemical components in the TSP were able to characterize with two principal factors. The first factor, F1 was considered to be a factor indicating the contribution of natural sources and the second factor, F2 was a factor indicating the degree of artificial sources. Each components in the TSP was divided into two main groups of components originated from soil and/or road dust and pollutants originated from automobiles and/or human work.
