It is a difficult task to estimate parameters in even a simple stock assessment model such as a surplus production model, using only data about temporal catch-per-unit-effort (CPUE) (or survey index) and fishery yields. Such difficulty is exacerbated when time-varying parameters are treated as random effects (aka state variables). To overcome the difficulty, previous studies incorporated somewhat subjective assumptions (e.g., B₁=K) or informative priors of parameters. A key is how to build an objective joint prior of parameters, reducing subjectivity. Given the limited data on temporal CPUEs and fishery yields from 1999-2020 for common squid Todarodes pacificus, we built a joint prior of only two parameters, intrinsic growth rate (r) and carrying capacity (K), based on the resilience level of the population (Froese et al., 2017), and used a Bayesian state-space production assessment model. We used template model builder (TMB), a R package for implementing the assessment model, and estimating all parameters in the model. The predicted annual biomass was in the range of 0.76×10⁶ to 4.06×10⁶ MT, the estimated MSY was 0.13×10⁶ MT, the estimated r was 0.24, and the estimated K was 2.10×10⁶ MT.

TMB 크로마토그래피의 물질수지식으로부터 SMB 크로마토그래피의 디자인 파라미터들을 계산할 수 있으며, 이를 이용하여 6 칼럼 SMB 크로마토그래피 장치를 디자인하였다. SMB 크로마토그래피 장치는 4개의 multi position rotary valve를 사용하여 연속적으로 각 칼럼으로의 유로를 제어할 수 있으며, 효율적인 SMB 크로마토그래피 장치를 구현할 수 있다. 또한 회분식 실험으로부터 얻어진 $m_2,$ $m_3$ diagram으로부터 SMB 크로마토그래피의 조작에 필요한 파라미터들을 계산할 수 있었다.

CuCl nanocrystallites dispersed nonlinear optical silica and borosilicate glasses were fabricated by sol-gel process. CuCl powder was dissolved in TEOS(Si(OC2H5)4) and TMB((CH3O)3B), precursors of silica and borosilicate glasses, with ethanol, water and HCl, and precipitated through the heat treatment in the matrix glass. The optical properties of CuCl doped glasses were measured using the spectrophotometer at room temperature and low temperature(77K); Z1, 2 and Z3 exciton peaks from the absorption spectra, were observed at about 370 nm and 380 nm, respectively. The average radius of nanocrystallites, calculated from the blue shift of Z3 excitons, was measured according to annealing temperature and time. The precipitation temperature of CuCl nanocrystallites was decreased when boron was added to silica glass. Increase of annealing temperature and time made average radius of nanocrystallites saturated about 2 nm.

Pentazocine은 opioid 수용체에 대한 흥분작용과 길항작용을 겸유한 opioid계 약물로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서 흰쥐 적출 관류부신 으로 부터 pentazocine의 catecholamine (CA) 분비작용을 관찰하여 그 기전을 규명하고 또한 다른 opioid의 작용과 비교하여 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. Pentazocine (30-300$\mu\textrm{g}$)을 부신정맥내에 주사하였을때 현저한 용량 의존성의 CA 분비 작용을 나타내었다. Pentazocine의 이러한 CA 분비작용은 chlorisondamine ($10^{-6}$M), naloxone (1.22 $\times$ $10^{-7}$M), morphine (1.73 $\times$ $10^{-5}$M). enkephalin (9.68 $\times$$10^{-6}$M), nicardipine ($10^{-6}$M) 및 TMB-8 ($10^{-5}$M)등의 전처치로 뚜렷이 억제되었으나 pirenzepine (2 $\times$ $10^{-6}$M)의 전처치에 의해서는 영향을 받지 않았다. $Ca^{++}$-free Krebs 용액으로 30분간 관류한 후에 pentazocine의 CA 분비작용은 현저한 감소를 나타내었다. Pentazocine (1.75 $\times$ $10^{-4}$M)을 20분간 관류시킨 후에 ACh (5.32 $\times$ $10^{-3}$M)과 DMPP ($10^{-4}$M)에 의한 CA 분비작용이 의의있게 감약되었다.

This paper presents bubble wake measurement results generated by the planing hull. The bubble was generated by SNAME TMB model(No. 4876) with hard chine at the CWC(Circulating Water Channel). ABS(Acoustic Bubble Spectrometer) was used to measure bubble wake measurement. The manufactured model is one meter in length and uniform velocity to generate the bubble at CWC is 3m/s, relatively higher speed than conventional hull form. Measurements were performed successfully and measured results show well the general characteristics of bubble wake generated by planing hull. Furthermore, experimental equations are proposed for the practical use.

We investigated the interaction of auxin and Ca2+ on coleoptile segment elongation in seedlings of Zea mays L. Seedlings imbibed and raised either in the presence of 10 mM CaCl2 (HC), or in the absence of Ca2+ (LC) were used. Exposure to 10-5M auxin of coleoptiles from either HC or LC seedlings resulted in strong promotion of elongation. However, longer latent period (90 min) of the auxin effect was observed in HC than in LC seedlings (20 min). The length of latent period observed in HC coleoptiles was proportional to the concentration of CaCl2. The latent period of auxin effect observed in HC seedlings was abolished by pretreatment of the coleoptiles with TMB-8 which inhibits IP3-induced Ca2+ release from the tonoplasts. In segments of LC seedlings, the promotive effect of IAA (10-5M) was abolished by treatment with 5 mM calcium but was reversible upon treatment of the segments with 5 mM EGTA. These results suggest that the effect of auxin on coleoptile elongation is closely related to intracellular Ca2+ level.

We have performed batch chromatography experiments to calculate parameters which are used to design SMB chromatography system. Isotherms of S- and R-ketoprofen enantiomers were gained from small amount loading experiments in a column, and flow rate of four zones of SMB chromatography were calculated using mass balance equations. As a results, diameter and length of columns were 10mm and 600mm, and flow rate of each zone were as follows; $Q_{Feed}$=1.00ml/min ,$Q_{Elu}$=2.81ml/min ,$Q_{Raf}$=1.81ml/min ,$Q_{Ext}$=2.00ml/min , and $Q_{Rec}^{TMB}$=10.75ml/min , From the Darcy's equation, the pressure drop in whole columns of SMB chromatography was 128bar.

A simple and sensitive microplate enzyme immunoassay(ELISA) was developed for progesterone, based on progesterone monoclonal antibody as anti-progesterone, horseradish peroxise(HRP) as enzyme-label and tetramethylbenzidine(TMB) as substrate. The assay has a sensitivity of 5pg-120pg/well and intra- and inter assay coefficients of variation for progesterone standard curve(0.1ng-3.2ng/ml) were ranged 4.4-10.6% and 5.-12.6%, respectively. They assay is performed in less than two hours and provide reliable values to differentiate among samples from day 0(A.I.), day 14 and day 19. The discriminatory levels for early pregnancy diagnosis are [>10ng(day 19) & decreasing rate <1.5 : pregnancy] and [ 7ng & decreasing rate 1.5 : non-pregnancy]. The accuracy of the pregnancy diagnosis for cows classified as positive(pregnancy) and negative(non-pregnancy) were 96% and 100%, respectively.

A simpled and sensitive microplate enzyme immunoassay(EIA) was developed for the determination of progesterone concentration in serum, based on progesterone monoclonal antibody as anti-progesterone, horseradish peroxidase(HRP) as enzyme-label and tetramethylbenzidine(TMB) as substrate. The assay has a sensitivity of 5 pg-120pg/well and intra- and inter-assay coefficients of variation for progesterone standard curve (1.0ng~10.0ng/ml) were ranged 2.5~9.9% and 1.7.8.0%, respectively, determination coefficient of the regressio equation of our standard curve(R2=0.990$\pm$0.007) were high, and this is the same level as that of commercial kit(Hormonost Bio-Lab, Germany, R2=0.98~0.99). The progesterone concentration of serum determined by both kits (Work & Bio-Lab) were significantly correlated (r=0.95, P<0.01) although a little higher value were resulted in our kit than that of commercial kit. It generally is these results indicated that the microplate-EIA can be cused for the determination of progesterone in serum, as well as, for the determination of the early pregnancy diagnosis.
