Inductive Classification of Multi-Spectral Threat Data for Autonomous Situation Awareness (자율적인 상황인식을 위한 다중센서 위협데이타의 귀납적 분류)

  • To build autonomous agents who can make a decision on behalf of humans in time-critical complex environments, the formulation of operational knowledge base could be essential. This paper proposes the methodology of how to formulate the knowledge base and evaluates it in a practical application domain. We analyze threat data received from the multiple sensors of Aircraft Survivability Equipment(ASE) for Korean helicopters, and integrate the threat data into the inductive model through compilation technique which extracts features of the threat data and relations among them. The compiled protocols of state-action rules can be implemented as the brain of the ASE. They can reduce the amounts of reasoning, and endow the autonomous agents with reactivity and flexibility. We report experimental results that demonstrate the distinctive and predictive patterns of threats in simulated battlefield settings, and show the potential of compilation methods for the successful detection of threat systems.

  • The method which research a standardization from real time cyber threat is finding the suspicious indication above the attack against cyber space include internet worm, virus and hacking using analysis the event of each security system through correlation with the critical point, and draft a general standardization plan through statistical analysis of this evaluation result. It means that becomes the basis which constructs the effective cyber attack response system. Especially at the time of security accident occurrence, It overcomes the problem of existing security system through a definition of the event of security system and traffic volume and a concretize of database input method, and propose the standardization plan which is the cornerstone real time response and early warning system. a general standardization plan of this paper summarizes that put out of threat index, threat rating through adding this index and the package of early warning process, output a basis of cyber threat index calculation.

  • Internet had spread in all fields with the fast speed during the last 10 years. Lately, wireless network is also spreading rapidly. Also, number of times that succeed attack attempt and invasion for wireless network is increasing rapidly TMS system was developed to overcome these threat on wireless network. Existing TMS system supplies active confrontation mechanism on these threats. However, existent TMS has limitation that new form of attack do not filtered efficiently. Therefor this paper proposes a new method that it automatically compute the threat from the imput packets with vector space model and detect anomaly detection of wireless network. Proposed mechanism in this research analyzes similarity degree between packets, and detect something wrong symptom of wireless network and then classify these threats automatically.

  • The risk analysis's aim is analyze the risk for the asset of organization with asset assessment, vulnerability assessment, threat assessment. existing TTA risk analysis methodology model propose to overall flow, but can not propose to detail behavior or each level. That is, step of risk analysis is insufficient in classification of threat and detail proposal of considered the risk with classified threat. So this paper propose that analysis and evaluate the vulnerability and threat assessment with determinated quantity. this paper consider current national information system and threat of environment and technology. So can estimate the risk with determinated quantity. Finally, analyze the asset risk of organization.

  • In order to build a secure electric vehicle charging infrastructure, security research is required because various data including charging and payment data are transmitted in the electric vehicle charging infrastructure. However, previous researches have focused on smart grid related security research such as power system infrastructure rather than charging infrastructure for electric vehicle charging. In addition, research on charging infrastructure is still lacking, and research using a systematic methodology such as threat modeling is not yet under way. Therefore, it is necessary to apply threat modeling to identify security threats and systematically analyze security requirements to build a secure electric vehicle charging infrastructure. In this paper, we analyze the electric vehicle charging infrastructure by accurately identifying possible threats and deriving objective security requirements using threat modeling including Data Flow Diagram, STRIDE, and Attack Tree.

  • This study examines the effect of national identity and threat awareness on the multi-cultural acceptability and whether contact theory actually work. For the analysis, this study used '2013 Korea General Social Survey' data and compared two groups divided according to whether or not they live in ethnic places using structural equation modeling. The empirical analysis shows that national identity does not have a direct effect on multi-cultural acceptability, and threat awareness has a full mediating effect between national identity and multi-cultural acceptability. In addition, the negative effect of the threat awareness on multi-cultural acceptability was greater in groups living in ethnic places. The findings suggest that multi-cultural awareness education is necessary to reduce the threat awareness toward foreigners, and that community-level programs are needed to prevent and coordinate conflicts arising from contact between foreigners and Koreans.

  • The upcoming warfare will be network-centric warfare with the acquiring and sharing of information on the battlefield through the connection of the entire weapon system. Therefore, the amount of information generated increases, but the technology of evaluating the information is insufficient. Threat assessment is a technology that supports a quick decision, but the information has many uncertainties and is difficult to apply to an advanced battlefield. This paper proposes a threat assessment based on artificial intelligence while removing the target uncertainty. The artificial intelligence system used was a fuzzy inference system and a multi-layer perceptron. The target was classified by inputting the unique characteristics of the target into the fuzzy inference system, and the classified target information was input into the multi-layer perceptron to calculate the appropriate threat value. The validity of the proposed technique was verified with the threat value calculated by inputting the uncertain target to the trained artificial neural network.

  • Mobile services which are applied PC performance and mobile characteristics are increased with spread of the smartphone. Recently, mobile cloud service is getting the spotlight as a solution of mobile service problems that mobile device is lack of memory, computing power and storage and mobile services are subordinate to a particular mobile device platform. However, mobile cloud service has more potential security threats by the threat inheritance of mobile service, wireless network and cloud computing service. Therefore, security threats of mobile cloud service has to be removed in order to deploy secure mobile cloud services and user and manager should be able to respond appropriately in the event of threat. In this paper, We define mobile cloud service threats by threat analysis of mobile device, wireless network and cloud computing and we propose mobile cloud service countermeasures in order to respond mobile cloud service threats and threat scenarios in order to respond and predict to potential mobile cloud service threats.

Development of High power Threat Signal Simulator and Interfacing Tracking Radar (고출력 위협신호 모의장치 개발 및 추적레이다 연동)

  • In this study, in order to test the performance of the aircraft system, a threat signal simulator that can transmit a signal similar to the actual threat to the aircraft under test with high power was designed. The high-power threat signal simulator should be able to transmit broadband (UHF band, L band, S band, X band) communication signals and radar signals, and control to transmit signals accurately directed to the aircraft through interfacing tracking radar. The signal strength of the developed equipment is 63 dBm to 93 dBm or more depending on type of signal, and the tracking precision is less than 0.1 degree, which satisfies the required performance. And it was confirmed that the antenna of the high-power threat signal simulator can accurately direct the signal to the aircraft position through the tracking radar interfacing.
