Bovine gastricsin catalyzes peptide synthesis over an optimum range of pH 4~5, resulting in satisfactory yields of methyl esters and p-nitroanilides of benzyloxycarbonyl tetra- to hexa-peptides, provided that hydrophobic amino acid residues form new peptide bonds. The effectiveness of the enzyme also depends on the nature of adjacent amino acid residues. An aspartic proteinase with a characteristic gastricsin specificity pattern would be useful for the synthesis of middle-length peptides.

7,8-Dihydro-6,11-dihydroxy-9(10H)benzo(b)phenazinone was prepared from 1,2,3,4-tetra-hydrophenazine as a potential isostere of anthracyclinone. The attempts to functionalize at $C_9$ were not successful due to the unstability of the above ketone.

상호 불용성인 용매에 녹아있는 반응물들 간의 반응은 각 물질이 상 경계면을 뛰어 넘기가 어려워 매우 느린 속도로 진행된다. 그러나 상호 불용성인 비균질계에 상이동 촉매라는 제 3의 물질을 첨가하면 반응은 급격히 향상된다[1, 2]. 따라서 본 연구에서는 클로로벤젠 상의 브로모 옥탄이 TBABr(Tetra Butyl Ammonium Bromide) 이온 촉매의 존재 하에 수용액상의 요오드 이온과 반응하는 평판형 막반응기를 대상으로 수치모사를 수행하여 그 결과를 Stanley와 Quinn[3]의 실험값 및 수치모사치와 비교하였으며, 막 반응기의 모듈 선택, 설계 및 운영, scale-up시 고려되어야 할 사항들을 탐색연구하여 보았다.

본 연구는 판형 핀-관 열교환기의 열전달 특성을 상용 CFD 코드인 SC/Tetra를 사용하여 해석한 내용에 관한 것이다. 해석조건은 입구속도 0.63 m/s, 튜브온도 $44.5^{\circ}C$이다. 해석 열교환기는 총6가지로 검토하였으며 각각의 온도분포와 유동패턴을 해석하고 판형 핀-관 열교환기의 열전달 특성을 비교 검토하였다.

The root of Polygonum cuspidatum (Polygonaceae) has been used as treatments of hyperlipidemia, dermatitis, gonorrhea, favus athlete's foot, inflammation in traditional medicine. In order to examine anti-lipidperoxidation activity, hexane, EtOAc, BuOH and water fractions of its methanol extract were administered to carbon tetrachloride intoxicated rats. Ethylacetate fraction exhibited antilipidperoxidative effect on liver lipid homogenate and the radical scavenging effect on DPPH. Serum transaminase, AlP, triglyceride and total cholesterol contents significantly decreased by administrations of ethylacetate fraction.
