외상성 후두골과 측두골 골절에 대한 고찰 (Clinical Study of Patient with Traumatic Temporal and Occipital Bone Fracture)

  • This study shows that oriental medical treatment affected a patient with headache, dizziness, dim eyes, facial palsy and hard-of-hearing caused by traumatic temporal and occipital bone fracture. Traumatic facial palsy mainly occures by temporal bone fracture. Facial palsy caused by traumatic temporal bone fracture corresponds to gu-an-wa-sha (口眼?斜)of oriental medicine. Functional disorder of an auditory organ corresponds to yi-rong(耳聾) and hyun-hoon(眩暈) of oriental medicine. In general, everyone consider surgical operation first of all, in the case of having traumatic facial nerve paralysis. But, this case shows that oriental medical treatments(acupuncture and herbal medicine) have a good effect on a patient with traumatic temporal and occipital bone fracture.

  • The temporal GIS data modeling methods are discussed in this paper. At first, two conceptual models of spatio-temporal data are introduced, and then some typical STDMs based on these two models are summed up and compared. After that, the spatio-temporal changes are analyzed thoroughly, and then how to model spatio -temporal data from different aspects is discussed. At last, several issues that need further research are pointed out.

Classifying Temporal Topics with Similar Patterns on Twitter

  • Twitter is a popular microblogging service that enables the users to send and read short text messages. These messages are becoming source to analyze topic trends and identify relations among temporal topics. In this paper, we propose a method to classify the temporal topics on Twitter as a problem of grouping the similar patterns. To provide a starting point for a classification under the same topics, we identify the content word weighting scheme based on Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA). And we formulate how the temporal topics in the time window can be classified like peaky topics, constant topics, and periodic topics. We provide different real case studies which show the validity of the proposed method. Evaluations show that the proposed method is useful as a classifying model in the analysis of the temporal topics.

  • 비디오 데이터의 중요한 면 중에 하나는 시간 관계성을 지닌다는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 비디오 데이터가 계층적 구조로 표현 가능하며, 각각의 계층은 각기 시간의 흐름에 따라 시간적 관계를 지닌다는 특성을 반영하여, 이러한 관계를 기반으로 하여, 비디오 계층적 구조에 대한 시간 관계성(video structure temporal relationship), 비디오 객체들 간의 시간 관계성(inter video-data temporal relationship), 비디오 객체내의 시간 관계성(intra video-data temporal relationship)를 제시한다. 이러한 비디오 데이터의 시간적 관계를 계승, 캡슐화, 함수 중복 등의 객체지향 특성을 이용한다. ORDBMS에 통합함으로써 다양한 시간 산자(temporal operator)를 제공한다. 이로써 사용자에게 편리하고 단일한 인터페이스와, 좀더 다양한 시간 질의어(temporal query)를 제공할 수 있는 메카니즘을 제공한다.

Giant Cell Tumor of the Temporal Bone in an Old Patient

  • We report a case of a 67-year-old woman with giant cell tumor of the temporal bone. A 67-year-old woman presented with localized tenderness, swelling, sensory dysesthesia, dizziness, and headache over the left temporal bone. She was neurologically intact except left hearing impairment, with a nonmobile, tender, palpable mass over the left temporal area. A brain computed tomography(CT) scans showed a relatively well defined heterogenous soft tissue mass with multiple intratumoral cyst and radiolucent, osteolytic lesions involving the left temporal bone. The patient underwent a left frontotemporal craniotomy and zygoma osteotomy with total mass removal. Permanent histopathologic sections revealed a giant cell tumor. She remains well clinically and without tumor recurrence at 2 years after total resection.

Reduction of the Temporal Bright-Image Sticking in AC-PDP Modules Using the Vacuum Sealing Method

  • This paper investigates the effects of the existing sealing methods, such as the conventional atmospheric-pressure sealing method and vacuum sealing, on temporal bright-image sticking. To produce a residual image caused by temporal brightimage sticking, the entire region of a 42-in panel with an Xe-(11%)-He(35%) gas mixture was abruptly changed to a full-white background image after displaying a square-type image at peak luminance for about 60s. From the monitoring of the difference in the display luminance, infrared emission, color temperature, and disappearing time between the cells with and without temporal bright-image sticking, it was observed that the vacuum sealing method contributes to the reduction of temporal bright-image sticking.

  • Temporal Logic Frameworks is convenient to represent temporal relation. It is useful to represent a dynamic properties of Discrete Event Dynamic Systems. Also, it is convenient to express a current and next state of event using logical representation. Because the teachability tree of the Temporal Logic Frameworks is very complexity it is difficult to understand. In this paper, we defined some rules to represent Temporal Logic Frameworks by Petri Net and proposed am method of the representation of them Petri Net for the Temporal Logic Frameworks. An example are used to demonstrate the feasibility of this method.

  • An architectural framework is developed for integrating geospatial and temporal data with relational information from which a spatio-temporal data warehouse (STDW) system is built. In order to implement the STDW, a generic conceptual model was designed that accommodated six dimensions: spatial (map object), temporal (time), agent (contractor), management (e.g. planting) and tree species (specific species) that addressed the 'where', 'when', 'who', 'what', 'why' and 'how' (5W1H) of the STDW information, respectively. A formal algebraic notation was developed based on a triplet schema that corresponded with spatial, temporal, and relational data type objects. Spatial object structures and spatial operators (spatial selection, spatial projection, and spatial join) were defined and incorporated along with other database operators having interfaces via the generic model.

  • The performance of a speech recognition system is generally degraded in telephone environment because of distortions caused by background noise and various channel characteristics. In this paper, data-driven temporal filters are investigated to improve the performance of a specific recognition task such as telephone speech. Three different temporal filtering methods are presented with recognition results for Korean connected-digit telephone speech. Filter coefficients are derived from the cepstral domain feature vectors using the principal component analysis. According to experimental results, the proposed temporal filtering method has shown slightly better performance than the previous ones.

  • 본 연구에서는 시맨틱 웹 기술을 이용해 뉴스의 동향을 분석하는 서비스를 제안한다. 뉴스 동향 분석 서비스는 뉴스들 간의 시간흐름 또는 관계들을 분석해 줄 수 있기 때문에 현재의 일반적인 뉴스검색 엔진보다 지능적인 검색 결과를 보여줄 수 있다. 이러한 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 시간 정보에 대한 추론 기능이 필요하지만 OWL과 같은 시맨틱 웹 언어는 이를 지원하지 못하기 때문에 시간 기반 추론을 지원하기 위해 본 연구에서는 OWL을 확장한 TL-OWL(Temporal Web Ontology Language)을 제안한다.
