Salmonella typhi Ty21a is an attenuated strain of S. typhimurium and used for oral typhoid vaccine. In an attempt to increase the stability of Ty21a manufacturing typhoid vaccine, the stability of freeze-dried Ty21a including additives at various temperature conditions was studied. In order to investigate the freeze-drying rate of Ty21a according to various absorbance, Ty21a was lyophilized by using 8% sucrose as a stabilizer. (omitted)

Polyethylenimine (PEI) has been used as a non-viral gene delivery carrier. To improve the efficacy of transfection, transferrin was incorporated by covalent linkage to PEI. As a model plasmid DNA, pHME185/b-gal, a mammalian expression vector was used. The transferrin-polyethylenimine (TfPEI) was synthesized by conjugate PEI with transferrin using sodium periodateand and characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR. (omitted)

Among the promising cancer therapy is targeting of the drug to tumor cells via receptor specific ligands. CR2945, $\beta$-2-( ［2-(8-azaspiro ［4.5］ dec-8-ylcarbony!)-4.6-dimethylphenyl］amino-2-oxoethyl］ -(R)-1-naphthalenepropanoic acid. is known to have an inhibitory effect on a gastrin receptor of colorectal cancer cells. As the human pancreatic cancer cells (BxPC-3) express gastrin receptors. interruption of binding of gastrin with gastrin receptor of human pancreatic cancer cells by CR2945 inhibits the growth of human pancreatic cancer cells. The Permanent Way consisting of rails and sleeper laid on ballast is a technically and economically viable solution. After two decades of targeted research and development activities Slab Track turned out to be a reasonable option on special fields. Slab Track proves that especially under extreme condition and loads - they reliably help stability and a long service life of track. Technical and experimental solution of slab track are particularly underlined. This paper presents a few Results of the experiments of SFRC slab tracks under fatigue load.

For system-on-glass (SoG) with low-temperature poly-silicon (LTPS) thin film transistor (TFT), a new system interface architecture and timing controller are developed. With the newly developed system interface architecture, line memory can be eliminated which would take large area of SoG display panel. The system interface and timing controller are targeted for the application for 6-bit gray scale, 60-frames/s qVGA format.

This paper reports the development of a special impact fatigue test machine for high pressure vessels. The targeted vessels are subjected to shock pressures equivalent of explosions. This severe loading condition brings many difficulties to the design of test machine. Unfortunately, there are very rare such test machine in the world, and more worse, the machine is not opened and sold.

Abnormal regulation of the inducible form of cyclooxygenase (COX-2) has been often observed in various types of cancerous and transformed cells. Recently, targeted inhibition of COX-2 is recognized as one of the promising strategies for the prevention or treatment of cancer as well as inflammation, As part of a program to evaluate the cancer chemopreventive potential of anti-inflammatory phytochemicals, we initially determined the COX-2 inhibitory activity of some naturally occurring diarylheptanoids structurally related to curcumin.(omitted)
