  • This paper shows a monitoring program, and this Exploiting monitoring program is a program for real-time monitoring the current and voltage which is produced by wind generators. And this program helps to check efficiency and situation of the wind generator; therefore, it uses LabVIEW for this real-time monitoring program. It is expensive that the specific network is needed in the common LD (long distance) data transmission. So in this paper, it shows the transmission method which use ezTCP/LAN (Serial-port${\leftarrow}{\rightarrow}$LAN-port converter) and combine with the TCP/IP based on LabVIEW. And in this method the specific network is not needed for using the Internet network to transmit the data, which can reduce the application cost of the system.

  • This paper introduces major potential faults of IPMSM and their simulation realization methods. The faults of IPMSM, generally, contain single-phase open circuit, single-phase or 3-phase short circuit, and uncontrolled generation. When different fault occurs, the circuit of total system including motor and inverter also will be changed. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and establish independent model for each kind of fault. In this paper, first, the drive circuit is analyzed as different fault type. Then, the corresponding simulation results solved in Simulink@MATLAB are given. The absence of experiment results leads that the veracity of simulation results can not be verified, but the tendency will be explained by theory analysis.

  • Based on the problems of untimely Expressway fire rescue and backward traditional fire rescue methods, an emergency fire fighting and inspection robot riding on expressway guardrail is designed. The overall mechanical structure design of emergency fire fighting and inspection robot riding on expressway guardrail is completed by using three-dimensional design software. The target fire detection is realized by using the target detection algorithm of Yolov5; By selecting a variety of sensors and using the control method of multi algorithm fusion, the basic function of robot on duty early warning is realized, and it has the ability of intelligent fire extinguishing. The BMS battery charging and discharging system is used to detect the real-time power of the robot. The design of the expressway emergency fire fighting and inspection robot provides a new technical means for the development of emergency fire fighting equipment, and improves the reliability and efficiency of expressway emergency fire fighting.

  • In this paper, we present a new design for angle-sensitive pixels (ASPs). The proposed ASPs take advantage of subwavelength compound gratings to capture the light angle, which enables pixel size to reach the wavelength scale of 0.7 ㎛ × 0.7 ㎛. The subwavelength compound gratings are implemented by the wires of the readout circuit inherent to the standard complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor manufacturing process, thus avoiding additional off-chip optics or post-processing. This technique allows the use of two pixels for horizontal or vertical angle detection, and can determine the light's angle in the range from -45° to +45°. The proposed sensor enables surface-profile reconstruction of microscale samples using a lensless imaging system.

  • A new accurate and reliable human-in-the-loop control by artificial neural network (ANN) for human assistance robot was proposed in this paper. The principle of human-in-the-loop control by ANN was explained including the system architecture of human assistance robot control the design of the controller the control process as well as the switching of the different control patterns. Based on the proposed method, the control of meal assistance robot was implemented. In the controller of meal assistance robote a feedforward ANN controller was designed for the accurate position control. For safety a feedback ANN forcefree control was installed in the meal assistance robot. Both controllers have taken fully into account the influence of human arm upon the meal assistance robote and they can be switched smoothly based on the external force induced by the challenged person arm. By the experimental and simulation work of this method for an actual meal assistance robote the effectiveness of the proposed method was verified.

  • In North Korea, there has been the considerable loss of human lives every yew due to the deficiency of foods. Thus, in order to reduce such damages, a research project should be launched to provide various information for cooperation with North Korean government, and to develop proper agricultural management system. Furthermore, based on the water resources information map generated by KOWACO (Korea Water Resources Corporation) and the environmental information system developed by MOE (Ministry of Environment), an agricultural information infrastructure of North Korea and a management system need to be effectively performed. Therefore, this research is mainly to develop the Agricultural Information Management System of North Korea (NKAIMS), which can collect, manage and analyze agricultural information and water resources utilization status of North Korea, and further support to make relevant decisions and establish the agricultural land-use plans. This research has three phases. The major outcome of the first phase is collecting the agricultural and water resources utilization data such as soils, rivers, streams, collective farms, etc., designing and building database, and developing integrated management system considering the users' requirements. The main work of the second phase is improving and reinforcing database such as adding the information of dams, land-over data, bridges, tunnels, satellite images, etc., inspecting and renewing such as importing detail attribute information of reservoirs, and improving system for more conveniently using. The third phase will be to supplement more useful functions such as statistic analysis, continually inspecting and improving database, and developing web-based system. The product of this research supports collecting and analyzing relevant data to facilitate easier agricultural activities and support effective decision making for food production in the preparation of unification. Moreover, through designing database considering sharing information and system expendability, it can support systematic data usability of agricultural information and save cost for data management.

Experimental study on through-beam connection system for concrete filled steel tube column-RC beam

  • A new through-beam connection system for a concrete filled steel tube column to RC beam is proposed. In this connection, there are openings on the steel tube while the reinforced concrete beams are continuous in the joint zone. The moment and shear force at the beam ends can be transferred to column by continuous rebar and concrete. The weakening of the axial load and shear bearing capacity due to the opening of the steel tube can be compensated by strengthening steel tube at joint zone. Using this connection, construction of the joint can be made more convenient since welding and hole drilling in situ can be avoided. Axial compression and reversed cyclic loading tests on specimens were carried out to evaluate performance of the new beam-column connection. Load-deflection performance, typical failure modes, stress and strain distributions, and the energy dissipation capacity were obtained. The experimental results showed that the new connection have good bearing capacity, superior ductility and energy dissipation capacity by effectively strengthen the steel tube at joint zone. According to the test and analysis results, some suggestions were proposed to design method of this new connection.

Application to Stabilizing Control of Nonlinear Mobile Inverted Pendulum Using Sliding Mode Technique

  • This paper presents a sliding mode controller based on Ackermann's formula and applies it to stabilizing a two-wheeled mobile inverted pendulum in equilibrium. The mobile inverted pendulum is a system with an inverted pendulum on a mobile cart. The dynamic modeling of the mobile inverted pendulum was established under the assumptions of a cart with no slip and a pendulum with only planar motion. The proposed sliding mode controller was based upon a class of nonlinear systems whose nonlinear part of the modeling can be linearly parameterized. The sliding surface was obtained in an explicit form using Ackermann's formula, and then a control law was designed from reachability conditions and made the sliding surface attractive to the equilibrium state of the mobile inverted pendulum. The proposed controller was implemented in a Microchip PIC16F877 micro-controller. The developed overall control system is described. The simulation and experimental results are presented to show the effectiveness of the modeling and controller.

Research on the Multi - purpose Nd:YAG Laser Power System using LLC Converter (LLC 공진형 컨버터를 사용한 다용도 Nd:YAG 레이저 전원장치 설계)

  • LLC resonant converter has been widely used because of its high efficiency and high energy density. In this paper, we designed a LLC resonant converter as the main power supply of the Nd:YAG pulse laser. First harmonic approximation (FHA) is used to model the LLC resonant converter. FHA equivalent circuit model and the transfer function of the LLC resonant converter is proposed. Soft start technology is also used to suppress the surge current. The laser output simulation test result is identical with the practical test, the laser energy of every pulse can reach up to 2.5J, and the pulse per second (PPS) can be adjusted from 6 to 18. The power system is verified stable and reliable by both of the simulation and experiment results.

A Novel In Situ Gel Formulation of Ranitidine for Oral Sustained Delivery

  • The main purpose of this study was to develop a novel, in situ gel system for sustained delivery of ranitidine hydrochloride. Ranitidine in situ gels at 0.2%, 0.5%, and 1.0% gellan gum concentration (w/v) were prepared, respectively, and characterized in terms of preparation, viscosity and in vitro release. The viscosity of the gellan gum formulations in solution increased with increasing concentrations of gellan gum. In vitro study showed that the release of ranitidine from these gels was characterized by an initial phase of high release (burst effect) and translated to the second phase of moderate release. Single photon emission computing tomography technique was used to evaluate the stomach residence time of gel containing $^{99m}Tc$ tracer. The animal experiment suggested in situ gel had feasibility of forming gels in stomach and sustained the ranitidine release from the gels over the period of at least 8 h. In conclusion, the in situ gel system is a promising approach for the oral delivery of ranitidine for the therapeutic effects improvement.
