TAC 어종의 어획량 분석을 통한 TAC 제도의 효과 분석 (An Analysis of the Effects in the TAC System by Analyzing Catch of TAC Target Species)

  • This study aimed to analyze the effect of total allowable catches (TACs) on the target species. First to effects analyse of TACs, the 8 TAC target species and 75 non-target species were selected for which catch data were available before and after the introduction of the TACs. The 8 target species were simply compared to catch changes before and after TACs. Through the comparison, it was confirmed how the catches of target fishes have changed after the implementation of the TACs. Secondly, the Difference In Differences(DID) analysis was conducted to confirm the effects of the TACs on the catches of the target fishes using the catch data of 8 TAC target species and 75 non-TAC species. Finally, to overcome the limitations of the DID analysis, the random effects model was estimated to confirm the effects of the TACs on the catch of the TAC target species. Overall, this study confirmed that the TACs affects catches of target species, not only through simple comparisons of catches before and after the introduction of the TACs but also through econometric analysis.

전기방사된 나일론66 나노웹의 열적·기계적 특성에 전자선 조사가 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Electron Beam Irradiation on Thermal and Mechanical Properties of Electrospun Nylon 66 Nano-web)

  • Polyamide 66 (PA66) nanofibers with Triallyl cyanurate (TAC) were obtained by electrospinning of formic acid and chloroform solution. Electron beam irradiation of PA66 nanofiber with and without TAC was carried out over a range of absorbed doses (20~100 kGy) in nitrogen. The characterization of the irradiated PA66 nanofibers and PA66 nanofibers with TAC was done by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and universal testing machine (UTM). The results of the SEM image analysis confirmed that the morphology of PA66 nanofibers was not altered by electron beam. The amount of TAC in PA66 nanofiber with TAC was identified by $^1H-NMR$ analysis. The degradation temperature of PA66 nanofibers with TAC at an absorbed dose of 20~100 kGy was higher than the irradiated PA66 nanofiber without TAC. On the other hand, the decreasing rate of modulus of irradiated PA66 nanofibers with TAC was less than PA66 nanofibers.

총허용어획량제도 유래 및 국내 수산자원평가의 전반적 개요 (An Overview of the Total Allowable Catch Policy and Fish Stock Assessments in Korea)

  • Since 2019, Korea Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has set the annual total allowable catch (TAC) by fish species, and has allocated the annual TAC into each fishery vessel. Also the Korea government plans to adopt the individual transferrable quota system in time. The TAC allocation is similar to the individual fishermen/fishing quota, which the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has implemented. However, the TAC based management faced fishermen's complaints and a debate is still underway about how to allocate TAC. Because the ideas of the Korea policy are from those in the foreign countries, I intended to provide the Korea fisheries community with an overview about how the TAC has been developed, what problem it caused, and foreign examples of how to allocate it. Furthermore, I pointed out a substantial room for improvement in their current practice of stock assessments, because, otherwise, their current methods for estimation of TAC by species cannot be trusted. Finally I made specific suggestions about what they need to do to reform their current stock assessments.

Effects of a Proteasome Inhibitor on Cardiomyocytes in a Pressure-Overload Hypertrophy Rat Model: An Animal Study

  • Background: The ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) is an important pathway of proteolysis in pathologic hypertrophic cardiomyocytes. We hypothesize that MG132, a proteasome inhibitor, might prevent hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (CMP) by blocking the UPS. Nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells ($NF-{\kappa}B$) and androgen receptor (AR) have been reported to be mediators of CMP and heart failure. This study drew upon pathophysiologic studies and the analysis of $NF-{\kappa}B$ and AR to assess the cardioprotective effects of MG132 in a left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) rat model. Methods: We constructed a transverse aortic constriction (TAC)-induced LVH rat model with 3 groups: sham (TAC-sham, n=10), control (TAC-cont, n=10), and MG132 administration (TAC-MG132, n=10). MG-132 (0.1 mg/kg) was injected for 4 weeks in the TAC-MG132 group. Pathophysiologic evaluations were performed and the expression of AR and $NF-{\kappa}B$ was measured in the left ventricle. Results: Fibrosis was prevalent in the pathologic examination of the TAC-cont model, and it was reduced in the TAC-MG132 group, although not significantly. Less expression of AR, but not $NF-{\kappa}B$, was found in the TAC-MG132 group than in the TAC-cont group (p<0.05). Conclusion: MG-132 was found to suppress AR in the TAC-CMP model by blocking the UPS, which reduced fibrosis. However, $NF-{\kappa}B$ expression levels were not related to UPS function.

실효온도차법에 의한 최대열부하 계산용 온습도에 관한 연구 (Design Temperature and Absolute Humidity for Peak Cooling and Heating Load Calculation with ETD Method)

  • A simplified TAC method was developed for the selection of design temperature and absolute humidity for peak cooling and heating load calculation with ETD method. And the design data of the 11 major cities in Korea were obtained. Based on the simplified TAC method, the design data for summer and autumn cooling season were selected by the TAC 5.0% of July through August and TAC 5.0% of October, respectively. But the design data for winter heating season were selected by the conventional TAC 2.5% of the full winter season.

실효온도차법에 의한 최대열부하계산용 일사 대기투과율 (The Solar Atmospheric Transmittance Data for Peak Cooling Load Calculation using ETD Method)

  • A simplified TAC method was developed for the selection of solar atmospheric transmittance data fundamental to the calculation of design solar radiation for the peak cooling load calculation using ETD method. The summer and autumn solar atmospheric transmittance data of the 11 major cities in Korea were obtained. Based on the simplified TAC method, the atmospheric transmittance data were selected by the TAC 2.5% of July instead of the TAC 2.5% of June through September for summer and the TAC 5.0% of October instead of the TAC 2.5% of October and November for autumn. Results show that the atmospheric transmittance data at solar noon were in the range of 0.61-0.66 for summer and 0.78-0.82 for autumn except for Pusan and Incheon.

트리아세틸 셀룰로오스 필름의 용액가공에 의한 구조변화 (Structure Development of Solvent Casting Triacetyl Cellulose Film)

  • 트리아세틸 셀룰로오스(triacetyl cellulose, TAC) 용액필름 가공 시, 가공 공정 변수인 TAC 도프(dope)의 농도, 용매 제거 온도, 열처리 온도와 흐름특성 증가를 위하여 사용되는 가소제의 첨가가 TAC 필름의 구조 변형에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 사용 도프의 농도가 높을수록, 용매 제거 온도가 높을수록 TAC의 결정화가 더 잘 발현됨을 알 수 있으며 이러한 결정화는 TAC 필름의 제조 후 열처리에 의하여 증가됨을 확인하였다. 또한, 가소제의 첨가에 의한 주사슬의 유연성 증가에 의하여 용융온도 및 결정화도가 감소하며 첨가된 가소제의 방향족 구조로 인하여 필름의 열분해 안정성이 우수해짐을 알 수 있었다.

  • 액정표시소자(LCD)의 보호필름으로 사용되는 트리아세틸 셀룰로오스(TAC) 용액 필름 가공조건이 TAC 필름 사용 환경에 따른 치수안정성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 아울러 이러한 치수 안정성의 변화가 필름 기계적 및 광학 특성에 미치는 영향을 함께 살펴보았다. TAC 필름의 용액가공 시 사용되는 methylene chloride/methyl alcohol 혼합용매의 methylene chloride 함량 증가와 필름 dope에 포함된 TAC의 농도 감소에 의하여 TAC 필름 고상화 과정에서 용매의 증발속도가 빨라져 TAC 주사슬의 잔유응력을 유발시킴에 따라 항온항습 조건(65$^{\circ}C$, 90%)에서 TAC 필름의 치수안정성이 감소됨을 확인할 수 있었으며 이러한 치수안정성의 변화는 필름의 기계적 및 광학적 특성에 영향을 미침을 확인하였다.

  • $cI_{857}$ repressor 단백질을 대량으로 얻기위해 tac promoter 하류에 $cI_{857}$ 구조 유전자를 삽입하는 것을 검토하였다. $cI_{857}$ 유전자를 포함하는 DNA 단편을 plasmid PUC12를 이용하여 대량생산후, HphI으로 부분 분해하여 $cI_{857}$ 구조 유전자만을 취하고, tac promoter 하류에 삽입시켰다. 그리고 $\lambda$ phage $cI_{90}$에 의해 $30^{\circ}C$에서는 용원성을, $42^{\circ}C$에서는 용균성을 보이는 균주를 선택함으로 tac promoter 하류에 cI857 구조 유전자가 삽입된 pDR540-$cI_{857}$을 선택할 수가 있었다. 이 plasmid는 $lacI^q$ JM103 뿐만 아니라 각종 E.coli에서 $cI_{857}$-repressor 단백질을 균체 단백질당 약 17까지 생산하였다.

The newly developed technology of controlling the birefringence of TAC film, together with the coating technology of a discotic material layer, enables excellent viewing angle characteristics and a cost-effective roll-to-roll polarizer manufacturing process.
