광화학기상성장법에 의한 Si 기판상에서의 TaO$_{x}$ 박막 제작에 관한 연구 (Fabrication of TaOx Thin Film on Si-Substrate by Photo-CVD Method)

  • Recent VLSI requires materials with high dielectric constant in order to reduce their storage capacitor areas. Thin TaOx film was formed from Ta(OCH3)5 by photo-CVD method at a low temperature. The result shows that the film obtained by photo-CVD method is this study has good step coverage, high dielectric constant (20-25) and low leakage current. The high strong peaks from Ta(4f), Ta(4d), and O(ls) levels were observed by XPS analysis. From the diffraction pattern and TEM prcture analysis, the TaOx thin film was observed to be amorphous. This kind of the deposition method could be considered to be a very promising method applied to VLSI.

Ti-Ta-Nb계 합금의 세포독성과 생체적합성의 평가 (THE EVALUATION OF CYTOTOXICITY AND BIOCOMPATIBILITY OF TI-TA-NB-BASE ALLOY)

  • Statement of problem: Ti-alloy has been used widely since it was produced in the United States in 1947 because it has high biocompatibility and anticorrosive characteristics. Purpose: The pure titanium, however, was used limitedly due to insufficient mechanical charateristics and difficult manufacturing process. Our previous study was focused on the development of a new titanium alloy. In the previous study we found that the Ti-Ta-Nb alloy had better mechanical characteristics and similar anticorrosive characteristics to Ti-6Al-4V Material and methods: In this study, the cytotoxicity of the Ti-Ta-Nb alloy was evaluated by MTT assay using MSCs(Mesenchaimal stem cells) and L929 cells(fibroblast cell line). The biocompatibility of the Ti-Ta-Nb alloy was performed by inserting the alloy into the femur of the rabbits and observing the radiological and histological changes surrounding the alloy implant. Results: 1. In the cytotoxicity test using MSCs, the 60% survival rate was observed in pure titanium, 84% in Ti-6Al-4V alloy and 95% in Ti-10Ta-10Nb alloy. 2. In the animal study, the serial follow-up of the radiographs showed no separation or migration revealing gradual bone ingrowth surrounding the implants. Similar radiographic results were obtained among three implant groups pure titanium, Ti-6Al-4V alloy and Ti-10Ta-10Nb alloy. 3. In the histologic examination of the bone block containing the implants. the bone ingrowth was prominent around the implants with the lapse of time. There was no signs of any tissue rejection, degeneration, or inflammation. Active bone ingrowth was observed around the implants. In the comparison of the three groups, the rate of bone ingrowth was better in the Ti-10Ta-10Nb alloy group than those in pure titanium group or Ti-6Al-4V alloy group. In conclusion, Ti-10Ta-10Nb alloy revealed better biocompatibility in survival rate of the cells and bone ingrowth around the implants. Therefore we believe a newly developed Ti-10Ta-10Nb alloy can replace currently used Ti-6Al-4V alloy to increase biocompatibility and to decrease side effects. Conclusion: In conclusion, Ti-10Ta-10Nb alloy revealed better biocompatibility in survival rate of the cells and bone ingrowth around the implants. Therefore we believe a newly developed Ti-10Ta-10Nb alloy can replace currently used Ti-6Al-4V alloy to increase biocompatibility and to decrease side effects.

  • The partial substitution of LiTaO3 with Al2O3 caused the variation of dielectric properties and a lower melting temperature yielding an easier growth of single crystal. The lattice constants and Raman band broadening were measured for the LiTaO3 solid solution in which the cations of Li+ and Ta5+ were partially substituted by Al3+ cation. The LiTaO3 type limit phases were obtained. ; Li1.15Al0.45Ta0.7O3 for cationic excess Li1.15Al0.45Ta0.7O3 for stoichiometry Li0.85Al0.05TaO3 for cationic deficit. The second phase was formed beyond the solubility limit. The limit phase (Li0.85Al0.05TaO3) in the region of cationic deficit showed the lowest Cuire temperature of 61$0^{\circ}C$ and melting point of 152$0^{\circ}C$ compared to the solid solutions in other regions (TMp=1$650^{\circ}C$, Tc=69$0^{\circ}C$ for LiTaO3)

Triacetin 함량에 따른 담배필터의 이화학적 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Some Physico-chemical Properties of Cigarette Filter Rods by Triacetin Content)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the influence of triacetin(TA) on some phisico-chemical properties of cigarette filter rods. To find the effect of TA on physical properties, we made six kinds of filters varying the TA levels(0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%) and measured the hardness, resilience and roundness. The hardness of filter rods was increased from 83.2% to 94.6% with increasing the TA level hut the roundness was not affected by TA levels. After manufacturing the cigarette with the filters, we have analysed the delivery amount of phenol and TA with the content of TA. The amount of phenol was decreased from 20.6$\mu\textrm{g}$/cig. to 12.0 $\mu\textrm{g}$/cig. with increasing the TA level of the filters. The decreasing of phenol amount was thought to be caused by solution effect. Also the TA delivery of TPM was increased from 0% to 5% of TPM with increasing the amount of TA. We have found the interesting phenomena that ventilation rate was also decreasing up to 6oye with increasing TA. It seemed to be due to the encapsulated pressure drop and the reduction of the plugwrap porosity which also caused by the smear with TA on the surface of plugwrap. From this results, we could find that not only the hardness, resilience and ventilation rate but also the contents of phenol and TA in cigarette smoke was affected by the TA levels on the cigarette filter rods.

  • 케퍼시터용 Ta 분말제조공정에서 발생하는 waste 분말을 이용하여 TaC 분말을 자전고온합성법에 의하여 합성하였다. waste TA는 합성반응의 활성 및 산화방지를 위하여 전처리공정에서 미분쇄 및 탈산처리가 필요하였다. 합성반응에서는 TaC 단일상은 6∼7wt.%C의 조성범위에서 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 반응온도는 시료의 압축력에 영향을 받으며, 압축력 1600psi에서 최고반응온도를 나타냈다.

  • The microwave dielectric properties and microstructure of the $0.7Mg_4Ta_2O_9-0.3CaTiO_3$ ceramics were investigated. All sample of the $0.7Mg_4Ta_2O_9-0.3CaTiO_3$ ceramics were prepared by conventional mixed oxide method. The sintering temperature was $1375^{\circ}C{\sim}1450^{\circ}C$. The structural properties of the $0.7Mg_4Ta_2O_9-0.3CaTiO_3$ ceramics were investigated by X-ray diffractormeter. According to the X-ray diffraction patterns of the $0.7Mg_4Ta_2O_9-0.3CaTiO_3$ ceramics, the major phase of the hexagonal $Mg_4Ta_2O_9$ were presented. In the case of the $0.7Mg_4Ta_2O_9-0.3CaTiO_3$ ceramics sintered at $1425^{\circ}C$, density, dielectric constant, quality factor were $5.799g/cm^2$, 23.26, 40,054 GHz, respectively.

  • The structural and microwave dielectric properties of $0.7Mg_4Ta_2O_9-0.3SrTiO_3$ ceramics with sintering temperature were investigated. All the sample of the $0.7Mg_4Ta_2O_9-0.3SrTiO_3$ ceramics were prepared by conventional mixed oxide method and sintered at $1425^{\circ}C{\sim}1500^{\circ}C$. According to XRD Patterns, hexagonal $Mg_4Ta_2O_9$ phase and cubic $SrTiO_3$ Phase were coexisted. The porosity of $0.7Mg_4Ta_2O_9-0.3SrTiO_3$ ceramics were reduced with increasing sintering temperature. In the case of $0.7Mg_4Ta_2O_9-0.3SrTiO_3$ ceramics sintered at $1475^{\circ}C$, dielectric constant, quality factor and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency were 14.51, 82,596GHz and $-3.14ppm/^{\circ}C$, respectively.

Nanotubular Structure Formation on Ti-6Al-4V and Ti-Ta Alloy Surfaces by Electrochemical Methods

  • Nanotubular structure formation on the Ti-6Al-4V and Ti-Ta alloy surfaces by electrochemical methods has been studied using the anodizing method. A nanotube layer was formed on Ti alloys in 1.0 M $H_3PO_4$ electrolyte with small additions of $F^-$ ions. The nanotube nucleation and growth of the ${\alpha}$-phase and ${\beta}$-phase appeared differently, and showed different morphology for Cp-Ti, Ti-6Al-4V and Ti-Ta alloys. In the ${\alpha}$-phase of Cp-Ti and martensite ${\alpha}^{\prime}$ and in the ${\alpha}^{{\prime}{\prime}}$ and ${\beta}$-phase of the Ti-Ta alloy, the nanotube showed a clearly highly ordered $TiO_2$ layer. In the case of the Ti-Ta alloy, the pore size of the nanotube was smaller than that of the Cp-Ti due to the ${\beta}$-stabilizing Ta element. In the case of the Ti-6Al-4V alloy, the ${\alpha}$-phase showed a stable porous structure; the ${\beta}$-phase was dissolved entirely. The nanotube with two-size scale and high order showed itself on Ti-Ta alloys with increasing Ta content.

송화 메탄올 추출물의 항산화적 항돌연변이 효과 (Antimutagenic and Antioxidative Effects of Methanol Extract of Pine Pollen)

  • 직ㆍ간법 변이원과 산화적 돌연변이원에 대한 송화분 추출물의 항돌연변이원성에 대하여 Ames test로 조사하였다. 메탄을 추출물을 이용하여, 10종의 돌연변이에 대한 돌연변이 억제효과를 검색한 결과 S. typhimurium TA98에서는 daunomycin, AFB$_1$과 Trp-P-1의 변이원성에 대해서만 각각 17.8, 82.2, 80.9%의 돌연변이 억제효과를, S. typhimurium TA100에서는 AFB$_1$의 변이원성에 대해서만 72.3%의 돌연변이 억제효과를 나타내었으며, S. typhimurium TA102, 104에서 t-과산화부틸과 $H_2O$$_2$의 돌연변이원성에 대한 메탄을 추출물의 돌연변이 억제 효과는 t-과산화부틸을 돌연변이원으로 한 S. typhimurium TA102에서 16.3%의 억제효과를 선택적으로 나타내었다. 따라서 메탄을 추출물을 클로르포름, 에틸아세테이트, 부탄올, 물 순으로 순차용매 분리한 다음, 이 분획물에 대한 항돌연변이원성을 검색하였다. 그 결과 S. typhimurium TA98에서 daunomycin, AFB$_1$과 Trp-P-1에 대해서 플로로포름 분획물은 각각 55.6, 93.7, 93.5%, 에틸아세테이트 분획물은 각각 11.4, 74.3, 85.2%, 부탄을 분획물에서는 10.9, -5.6, 6.8%, 물 분획물은 각각 -3.4, -3.8, 4.6%의 돌연변이 억제효과를 나타내었다. S. typhimurium TA100에서는 AFB$_1$에 대해 클로로포름 분획물과 에틸아세테이트 분획물이 각각 95.1, 62.5%의 억제효과를 나타내었으며, S. typhimurium TA102에서는 t-과산화부틸에 의해 유도된 산화적 돌연변이에 대해 클로로포름 분획물이 93.6%로 매우 강한 억제효과를 나타내었으며, 기타 분획물에서는 매우 낮은 억제효과를 나타내었다.

  • 고 포화자속밀도를 갖는 Fe미세결정 박막의 자기특성 및 미세구조에 미치는 첨가원소의 영향을 조사하였다. Mo 첨가 박막의 경우, $Fe_{2}Mo$, $Fe_{4}N$, $Fe_{3-2}N$상의 생성으로 연자기 특성이 발현되지 않았다. Ta첨가 박막의 경우, 미세한 TaN, TaC 상이 석출하여 $\alpha$-Fe 결정립을 효과적으로 미세화 시켰으며 Fe 질화물의 생성도 억제되었다. 이에 따라 우수한 연자기 특성이 발현되었으며 FeTaN계 박막은 4000, FeTaC 박막은 2700의 높은 투자율을 나타내었다.
