An approximate, numerically-efficient solution for a microstrip T-junction is discussed. The microstrip T-junction is modeled as a rectangular waveguide with top/bottom electric walls and side magnetic walls. Comparisons of our solution with others show favorable agreements.
Root is supposed to be important role in growth and yield formation of soybeans and also there is expected to exist varietal differences between soybean root morphology and system. 30 soybean varieties including 10 Korean recommended, 10 Introduced and 10 Korean native varieties were grown at field and pot under standard culture condition. Top and root characteristics were investigated at V4, R1 and R5 stage and T/R relations, correlations with yield were calculated. Top characteristics showed significant difference between 3 variety groups of Korean recommended, Introduced and Korean native variety. Stem length at R1 stage and stem length, stem diameter, number of nodes, number of branches, number of pods and grain yield at R5 stage were significantly different top characteristics. Root characteristics showed significant difference between 3 variety groups were number of thick primary root at V4 stage, primary root angle and root cutting strength at R1 stage, thick root diameter and root dry weight at R5 stage. The correlations between top and root characteristics and soybean yield was greatly different by soybean variety groups, and the top characteristics was more highly correlated then root characteristics. All the top and root characteristics of Korean recommended variety showed no correlations with yield. However, leaf area, stem length, top dry weight in Introduced variety and leaf area, top dry weight, number of nodes, number of thick primary root in Korean native variety were highly correlated with soybean yield.
In order to select the suitable soybean cultivars for paddly field cultivation, growth response and yields characters were investigated with 37 Korean domestic soybean cultivars, in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi province. The results can be summarized as follows ; When the soybeans were cultivated in paddy field, significant differences were observed in growth responses at each growth stage and yields among the cultivars. Yields of six cultivars, such as Danbaekkong, Paldokong, Pungsannanulkong, Myeongjunamulkong, Saeolkong, and Namhaekong, were less than 200kg/10a, however, seven cultivars, such as Shinpaldalkong 2, Sohokong, Dormikong, keumkangkong, Bukangkong, Dajangkong, and Geomjeongkong 2, showed highest yields ranged from 301~385kg/10a. At V5 stage, highly positive correlation(r=091$^{{\ast}{\ast}}$) was observed between the top dry weight and leaf area while negative correlation was existed between T/R ratio and root dry weight. However, at R2 age, leaf area was correlated with both top and root dry weight while T/R ratio was correlated with leaf area and top dry weight. Thirty-seven soybean cultivars used in this experiments were classified into 3 different clusters based on 19 important agronomic characters, and genotypic properties of the cultivars were similar in each cluster. In results, high yields could be achieved by selected cultivation of suitable soybean cultivars such as Shinpaldalkong 2 which showed early maturation date and highly ripening ratio.
To upgrade shear performance of reinforced concrete (RC) beams, and particularly of the segments under negative moment within continuous T-section beams, a series of original schemes has been proposed using carbon fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP) U-shaped strips for shear-strengthening. The current work focuses on one of them, in which CFRP U-strips are wound around steel bars against the top of the flange of a T-beam and then spliced on its bottom face in addition to being bonded onto its sides. The test results showed that the proposed scheme successfully provided reliable anchorage for U-strips and prevented premature onset of shear failure due to FRP debonding. The governing shear mode of failure changed from peeling of CFRP to its fracture or crushing of concrete. The strengthened specimens displayed an average increase of about 60% in shear capacity over the unstrengthened control one. The specimen with a relatively high ratio and uniform distribution of CFRP reinforcement had a maximum increase of nearly 75% in strength as well as significantly improved ductility. The formulas by various codes or guidelines exhibited different accuracy in estimating FRP contribution to shear resistance of the segments that are subjected to negative moment and strengthened with well-anchored FRP U-strips within continuous T-beams. Further investigation is necessary to find a suitable approach to predicting load-carrying capacity of continuous beams shear strengthened in this way.

This report contains the results of structural analysis for the verification of the optimum offset range on the top of T-Bar with stiffener and BKT using at DSME Offset range as $6.0{\sim}10.0mm$ based on the 3-D FE analysis and experimental results of angie type stiffener as described in Annex 1 has been used as yard standard over ten (10) years under all Classification approval. Recently, Owner and Class have requested the confirmation for the misalignment based on the Yard's Standard so that a couple of locations for LNGC and LPGC has been investigated the structural strength by FE method using the offset ranges from 0.0 to 18.0 mm.
This study explores sustainability education in textile and apparel (T&A) programs in U.S. higher education institutions. Specifically, the researchers study whether more courses with sustainability focus are offered in higher-ranked institutions and explore whether sustainability is taught more in specific T&A related subject fields. Content analysis was conducted for 3,200 courses found in online course catalogs or the course information sites of 69 institutions. Institutions were selected from the 2015 rankings of the top 50 fashion design and top 50 fashion merchandising schools in the US on www.fashion-schools.org. All cases were coded by two coders with a Cohen's Kappa score of 97.5%, indicating good interrater reliability. Coded data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and t-tests. The findings show that sustainability is being integrated into the curricula and across courses of T&A programs in the U.S. Over half of the institution surveyed offered at least one sustainability embedded course. Higher ranked institutions provided more sustainability-related courses than power-ranked institutions. A natural match between the subject field and specific sustainability theme was observed (e.g., cultural diversity in history/culture and social psychology/education; recycle/reuse in textile science; sustainability in fashion design; social responsibility and ethics in industry/consumer). The need to introduce sustainability in courses holistically is discussed, whereby sustainability within the industry supply chain is examined in a connected way.
Cold hypersensitivity means a condition feeling cold at a temperature when one should not feel so. Cold hypersensitivity has been diagnosed based on the patient's subjective complaints. But these days, cold hypersensitivity can be diagnosed by the help of D.I.T.I.(Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging) This study is designed to verify the validity of diagnosis of cold hypersensitivity by D.I.T.I. Thermographic findings of 100 outpatients who visited the Kangnam Korean Hospital, KyungHee University, Seoul, Korea, from June 2000 to November 2000 were analyzed. The experimental group consisted of 50 patients who complained cold hypersensitivity, and for the control group, 50 patients who did not complain cold hypersensitivity. For the diagnosis of cold hypersensitivity of the hands, thermographic measurements were performed on two pairs of areas(palm-upper arm and back of hand-upper arm). And for that of the feet, other two pairs of areas(anterior thigh-top of the feet and posterior thigh-heel). When the criterion for thermal deviation between the palm and the upper arm was appointed as higher than $0.3^{\circ}C$, the sensitivity was 94.0% and the specificity, 90.0%. And when the criterion for that between the anterior thigh and the top of feet was appointed higher than $2.0^{\circ}C$, the sensitivity was 94.0% and the specificity, 76.0%. Through this study, the diagnostic standard for cold hypersensitivity of hands and feet could be presented.

Recently, the top & down method with drilled shafts as a foundation of high rise building is often adopted for the purpose of construction period reduction and construction cost effectiveness. It is common to omit the loading test as a Quality assurance on account of the high capacity of drilled shafts for the top & down method. It seems that the capacity of drilled shaft in recent top & down method is beyond that of conventional loading test method. However, the quality assurance for the drilled shaft as foundation of high rise building becomes much more important since the drilled shaft should bear much higher working load. It may be a small scale test pile could be an alternative as a quality assurance for the drilled shaft with high capacities. Through a case study, this paper gives an idea for solving the limitation of the conventional loading test method for the quality assurance of drilled shaft with high capacities. In particular, this paper analyzed the scale effect for a small drilled shaft installed into bedrock, which could be used for an alternative.

The goal of this study is to see if the Coronavirus affects the Top 10 most valuable brands in various ASEAN countries (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam) and industry types differently. The data for this study was collected using a secondary data method (content analysis). Based on their annual reports from 2019 to 2021, the researchers examined the brand equity of the Top 10 most valued brands in each of the four ASEAN countries. IBM Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) Statistics for Windows was used to examine the data. Frequency, an independent T-test, and one-way analysis of variance tests were also applied to the data. The findings revealed considerable disparities between the Top 10 most valued ASEAN country brands in 2019-2020 and 2019-2021 due to the impact of the Coronavirus. Due to the influence of the Coronavirus, the data revealed no significant differences between industry categories. Future studies could look into the disparities between the most valuable brands and the influence of the Coronavirus over a longer period of time and include a larger number of firms and countries. Brand managers in ASEAN countries' Top 10 most valuable companies must carefully manage their brands to preserve brand life and reduce the impact of future global pandemics.
We investigated the effects of the capping layer materials on the crystallization of the amorphous top-CoFeB (t-CoFeB) electrode and the magnetoresistance properties of the magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs). When the hcp(002)-textured Ru capping layer was used, the amorphous t-CoFeB was crystallized to bcc-CoFe(110). The CoFe(110)/Ru(002) texture relation can be minimized the lattice mismatch down to 5.6%. However, when the fine polycrystalline but almost amorphous TiAl or amorphous ZrAl were used, the amorphous t-CoFeB was crystallized to bcc-CoFe(002). When the amorphous capping materials were used, the evolution of the t-CoFeB texture was affected mainly by the MgO(001) texture. Consequently, the M ratios of the annealed MTJ capped with the ZrAl and TiAl (72.7 and 71.8%) are relatively higher than that of the MTJ with Ru capping layer (46.7%). In conclusions, the texture evolution of the amorphous t-CoFeB during the post deposition annealing could be controlled by the crystallinity of the adjacent capping layer and in turn, it affects the TMR ratio of MTJs.
