  • A parametric cubic spline interpolating at fixed number of nodes is constructed by formulating a parametric cubic $g^2$ B-splines $S_3(t)$ with not equally spaced parametric knots. Since the fact that each component is in $C^2$ class is not enough to provide the geometric smoothness of parametric curves, the existence of $S_3(t)$ oriented toward the modified second-order geometric continuity is focalized in our work.

Optical Sensitivity of TL Glow Peaks Separated Using Computerized Glow Curve Deconvolution for RTL Quartz

  • Background: The retrospective dosimetry using RTL quartz can be improved by information for an optical sensitivity of sample connected with the equivalent dose determination. Materials and Methods: The quartz sample from a volcanic rock of Japan was used. After correcting the thermal quenching effect, RTL peaks of quartz were separated by the CGCD method cooperated with the general order kinetics. The number of overlapped glow peaks were ascertained by the $T_m-T_{stop}$ method. The optical sensitivity was examined by comparing the change of intensity on RTL glow peaks measured after exposure to light from a solar simulator with various illumination times. Results and Discussion: Seven glow peaks appeared to be overlapped on the RTL glow curve. The general order kinetics model was appropriate to separate glow peaks. After exposure to light from a solar simulator from a few minutes to 416 hr, the signals for peaks P4 and P5 decayed following the form of $f(t)=a_1e^{-{\lambda}1t}$, while the signals for peaks P6 and P7 decayed by the form of $f(t) = a_1e^{-{\lambda}1t}+a_2e^{-{\lambda}2t}+a_3e^{-{\lambda}3t}$. Conclusion: For dosimetric peaks, the times taken to reduce the RTL signal to half of its initial value were 70 sec for the peak P4, 54 s for the peak P5, 9,840 sec for the peak P6 and 26,580 sec for the peak P7, respectively. We conclude that the optical sensitivity of peaks P4, and P5 gives much higher than that of peaks P6 and P7.

  • Gear is general mechanical elements that used for power transmission between two shafts that interval is comparatively short. and it delivers big power as accurate ratio of speed. The profile of Spur gear which is the most basic factor is divided into Trochoidal fillet curve and Involute curve. Involute curve is used a lot of a shaped curve of machine parts such as a gear, a scroll compressor and a collar of centrifugal pump. However, It is poor to study the modeling of Trochoidal fillet curve and the three dimensions model shaped mathematical curve. This paper describes a mathematical model of profile shifted involute gear. and this model is based on Camus's theory. We draw three dimensions gear have accurate mathematical function using ADS, VisualLISP. and To check accuracy and perfection, we make a program of checking Interference. and use for this study.

  • To estimate the fatigue life of flange-shaft assembly, fatigue test for flange material and bending fatigue test for flange-shaft assembly were conducted. Also, finite element analysis for flange-shaft assembly was conducted. Then, we have changed the obtained P-N curve to S-N curve using the finite element analysis results which were stress values at the location of fracture. The S-N curve of flange material itself was almost consistent with that of flange-shaft assembly, so it seems that the fatigue life of flange-shaft assembly could be estimated by using S-N curve for flange material and the stress at the location of fracture calculated by finite element methods.

  • The TC curve of recloser which used in KEPCO's distribution line is a little different in a pattern with the TC curve of sub-station OCR. So it sometimes fails in protection coordination. And the recloser sometimes does mis-open/close owing to the inrush current of CB reclosing when a fault occurred on the source-side of the recloser. The mis-open/close is another trouble maker. This Paper Present a new delay TC curve of recloser which has the same pattern with the TC curve of OCR, and a new instantaneous TC curve of recloser which doesn't mal-function to the inrush current. In addition, this paper present another two TC curves for the serial positioning of 2 reclosers. So we accomplished the simple protection coordination of OCR-recloser-fuse.

  • This paper is to investigate into the stress-strain curves for austenite stainless steel STS 304 over the full strain range. The Ramberg-Osgood expression is useful up to the beyond the0.2% proof stress in the ultimate state. The Rasmussen curve has developed for stresses beyond 0.2% proof stress, based on the Ramberg-Osgood concept. These expressed curves don't good agree with the test results. It is here proposed the based on the analysis of the test results better curve.

  • Automatic transmission(A/T) is one of a car's core components. The durability of A/T has an effect on the durability of the car. The input shaft of A/T passes the power directly from the engine, so the durability of the input shaft for A/T is likewise vital. In this study, the test method of the input shaft is considered and the load spectrum of A/T is analyzed to secure durability of the input shaft. The shape parameter, T-N curve of the input shaft torsional fatigue test are obtained for life evaluation and analysis. Results of this study can be used to get the basic background of the durability test for A/T components.

Estimation of Runoff Characteristics of Nonpoint Pollutant Source in Railroad Area (철도지역의 비점오염원 유출특성)

  • The MFFn(Mass first flush), EMCs(Event mean concentrations) and runoff loads were analyzed for various rainy events(monitoring data from 2011 to 2012) in transportation area(rail road in station). The pollutant EMCs by volume of stormwater runoff showed the BOD5 9.6 mg/L, COD 29.9 mg/L, SS 16.7 mg/L, T-N 3.271 mg/L, T-P 0.269 mg/L in the transportation areas(Railroad in station). The average pollutant loading by unit area of stormwater runoff showed the BOD5 $27.26kg/km^2$, COD $92.55kg/km^2$, SS $50.35kg/km^2$, T-N $10.13kg/km^2$ and T-P $10.13kg/km^2$ in the transportation areas. Estimated NCL-curve(Normalized cumulated-curve) was evaluated by comparison with observed MFFn. MFFn was estimated by varying n-value from 10% to 90% on the rainy events. The n-value increases, MFFn is closed to '1'. As time passed, the rainfall runoff was getting similar to ratio of pollutants accumulation. The result of a measure of the strength of the linear relationship between observed data and expected data under model was good.

  • We investigate dissociation of diatomic molecules and anions using density functional theory (DFT) and density-corrected density functional theory (DC-DFT). We scan the potential energy curve of CH, NH and NO neutral molecule and its anion with both DFT and DC-DFT (in form of Hartree-Fock DFT, HF-DFT) using various functionals. Using CCSD(T) results as reference, we perform the error decomposition scheme recently proposed by Kim et al. The results show while most neutrals are $functio{\acute{n}}al$ error $domi{\bar{n}}ating$ normal calculations, $CH^-$ and $NO^-$ anions are density-driven error dominating abnormal calculations. In case of $NH^-$, traditional DFT goes to a wrong dissociation limit indicating abnormality, but both HF-DFT and CCSD(T) results need further investigation due to the kinks on the curve.

  • When most of existing instant messengers log on server, they transmit to sever in encoding password to RC5. but RC5 don't be secured because it has been known many of password cracking tools. Also, messengers don't have any protection on the transmitted information with communicating two hosts since loging on, endangering the privacy of the user. As a counter measure, messengers need to provide security service including message encryption. In this paper, we designed a key exchange method of password representing fast, effective and high security degree, using ECC(Elliptic Curve Cryptography) that being known the very stronger than another public key cryptography with same key size. To effectively improve data transmission and its security using IPSec protocol between users, tunnel mode is introduced. Tunnel mode transmits Host-to-Host data through virtual pipelines on the Internet.
