The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in various fashion lifestyle segments' perceived benefits and design preferences for outdoor clothing to improve the development of outdoor clothing. Data were collected by questionnaire from 600 subjects aged 30 years and over with experience purchasing outdoor clothing in the past year. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, reliability analysis, ANOVA, and chi-square analysis were used for the data analysis. The results of this study were as follows. Four segments were identified based on fashion lifestyle: manifoldly conscious, sensation conscious, practicality conscious, and brand conscious. Perceived outdoor clothing benefits generated three dimensions, including premium brand, practicality, and functionality, and preferred image produced two factors, tasteful/refined and comfortable/casual. Significant differences were found in the purpose of purchasing outdoor clothing, perceived benefit, and image and t-shirt pattern design preference among the segments. The manifoldly conscious group had a higher tendency to pursue various benefits and images of outdoor clothing and to prefer t-shirt textile designs with foulards and stripes. The sensation conscious group considered fashion and individuality in daily life but not in outdoor clothing. The practicality conscious group showed a preference for simple and casual styles with functionality and foulard patterns for t-shirts. The brand conscious group tended to prefer a striking design to functionality. This study is expected to be used as preliminary data for merchandising planning of outdoor clothing.
This study looked at how New Zealand's national brand is expressed in fashion design. In other words, the objective of this study was to offer a research methodology about the process that the conceptual national brand materializes through design. The method used in this research was the review of previous literature and research reports for New Zealand national branding. A direct market survey on the characteristics of fashion brands in each travel destination was conducted from February 2017 to February 2018. New Zealand announced its slogan for the national brand '100% pure New Zealand' in 1999, and in 2003 it announced the slogan 'new thinking New Zealand' with the value of 'newness' and 'innovation'. It also has 'Maori branding'. The study found that the three slogans had a consistent link from keywords to associated visual images. The above results were compared to the reminiscent visual images extracted from the website contents of the fashion brand. Then, using a t-shirt as an item, the t-shirt corresponding to each group was classified, and the design element analyzed. As a result, the four groups showed images of 'New Zealand ecology image', 'ethnic & Kiwiana image', 'nostalgic travel image' and 'pop image'.
This research was conducted to understand the different circumstances for wearing shirts by adult males aged 20-39, and to provide this basic information to the shirt industry prior to developing new functional men's shirts. A total of 345 respondents participated in the survey. Most of questionnaire, frequency, mean and standard deviation were calculated and the differences between the 20s and 30s were analyzed by t-test or ${\chi}^2$ test. The results of the survey are as follows. Grading the satisfaction degree of their body parts, the respondents were relatively unsatisfied with their height, weight, and waist, abdominal and hip circumferences. Majority preferred department stores, discount stores and outlets for purchasing shirts. Many have never owned tailored shirts - men in 20's had less experience with tailoring than men in 30's. The foremost selection criterion for purchasing shirts was fit -during purchase, men in their 20's considered fit more important than men in their 30's. The most preferred unbuttoning of the top button when wearing shirts. For favored collar shapes with one button unbuttoned, the most valued collar angle and style was V-neck shape when unbuttoned, low collar band, collar with unopened collar, and stiff collars. Most shirt designs and details included slim fit, no dart in the front and one dart on the back. Men in 20's more preferred the no dart in the front and one tuck on the back, as compared to men in 30's. On the other hand, men in their 30's preferred one dart shirts than men in 20's. Regarding shirt bands and cuffs, one button and regular collar and one button cuffs with round angle design, were the most preferred, respectively.

Nowadays, pop music reflects the phase of society. and simultaneously it has influence on from culture to society. Rock Music was rooted in Country 8l western of America. Upon Country & Western, Afro-Americans Rhythm & Blues was added, and that was the birth of Rockabilly. Rockabilly developed to Rock'n 'roll and it started to change to various forms of Rock since 1950s. As the commercial impact and the breakthrough of teenagers emotion, the rock culture comprised the base of the youth culture. However. it formed the anti-establishment culture against the established value, accepting working class subculture. The teenager culture was affected by the Rock culture, also found relief in the opulence provided by the established generation, imitating it as it was. Simultaneously, it had a contrary aspect as anti-establishment form under the banner of revolt against languor in richness. The youth culture created street style that was escaped from high fashion, every time Rock music had changes. Since Street style was based on resistance of established culture and it fully refused vogue, it was indifferent from high fashion. The results of this study were as following. First, every time Rock music had changes, the new youth culture was concomitant with, the youth culture created street style. Secondly, rockahibilly style was characterized as diamond shaped design, embroidery, extra wide shirt collar, vivid contrast color . Rockers style was represented as metal studs, beads, denim, leather jacket, boots. Fusion of hippies style and Psychedelic, long hair, beads. worn denim were elements of headbangers style. Punks style was characterized as ripped T-shirt. rooster hair, over decorated jacket, short skirt. net or plastic T-shirt. Lastly, the firm relation between popular art and fashion was proved by examining the history of Rock Music and Street Style.

The purpose of this study was to find a method for improving the children's behavior during dental treatment in relation with dentist's attire. For this study 150 children, visiting a dental clinic, were asked to participate in a survey on the attire of the dentist. The results of the survey were as follows: 1. In the survey for the preference between gown and ordinary clothes according to sex(P<0.05), age(P<0.05), residence (P<0.05) and number of visits(P<0.05), there was more preference for gown(65.3%). 2. The preference for the type of gown and attire under the gown was a long gown and white shirt (30.7%), followed by a suit-like gown (18.7%) and white shirt, and long gown and polo shirt(17.3%). 3. The preference for the color of gown was white(34.7%), followed by pink (18.7%), green(18.0%), blue(15.3%) and yellow(13.3%). 4. The preference for the pattern on the gown was cartoon characters(49.3%), followed by hospital logo(28.7%) and no pattern(14.7%). 5. The preference for ordinary clothes of female dentists was polo shirt(37.3%), followed by striped shirt(28.7%), round T-shirt(18.7%), and everyday Korean traditional dress(15.3%). 6. The preference for ordinary clothes of male dentists was pattern necktie and no pattern Y-shirt(28.0%), followed by no pattern necktie and Y-shirt(21.3%) or pattern shirt with no necktie, and no pattern Y-shirt with no necktie(14.7%). 7. The preference on the protective equipment worn was mask and glove(28.7%), followed by no protective equipment(26.7%), mask, glove and protective glasses(22.7%) at)d only mask(22.0%). Based on the above results, it seems that parting with the traditional white gown and wearing multi-color and pattern attire will provide psychological stability and help improve children's behavior during treatment.

This study presents a T-shirt design process that utilizes modernized traditional patterns; in addition, it also includes various modernization techniques for Korean traditional patterns. T-shirts are a representative casual wear item worn in everyday life, especially among young people. The association of traditional elements and public goods such as T-shirts effects the diffusion of the Korean image into global society. Through the whole design process, target groups and design concepts were determined first: collegiate students as well as clean, natural, refined, simple and sporty image, respectively. Subsequently, Dokkaebi, lotus, Dangcho, dragon and Taegeuk patterns were selected as traditional pattern sources. Along with the technique of the division, transformation, and configuration of original patterns, the combining method of geometrical figures, stripe patterns, and check patterns with traditional patterns was helped create modernized traditional motives. Finally, T-shirt designs with a Korean image were developed with the harmonized deployment of modernized motives and color planning. The survey showed that designs had a clean, natural, refined, simple and sporty image that was preferred by collegiate students. This study is relevant in three aspects. First, the design process of modernization was very creative to combine traditional patterns and basic figures. Second, this study expanded the scope of traditional image design to casual wear to promote the Korean image to young people all over the world. Third, the whole design process, from planning to final product development, presented in this study is applicable to other design processes.
Pets (such as dogs) are considered as important as family members, this perspective is due to an aging population and the decreased size of the traditional nuclear family. The pet industry has been growing every year; subsequently, is useful to develop practical patterns and designs appropriate for the body structure and movement of pet dogs. However, studies to develop a new form of pet dog's wear patterns and designs are limited. This study develops a basic pattern that is easily used based on a pet dog's size, designs popular clothing items for pet dogs, and helps in the manufactures of pet dog's wear. The results are as follow: 1) Analyzed categories and popular items of pet dog's wear from the research of the prior studies and on-line pet dog shopping malls; three categories (everyday wear, street wear, and special wear) and six items (T-shirt, one-piece, coat, jumper, and dress, tuxedo). 2) Developed the basic bodice pattern and sleeve pattern after test-wearing and revising the experimental patterns referenced from prior studies. 3) Developed patterns and designs for six popular items based on situation and gender: one-piece (everyday wear), coat (street wear), wedding dress (special wear) for female dogs/T-shirt (everyday wear), hood jumper (street wear), tuxedo (special wear) for male dogs. 4) Developed the previous six items to illustrate the research results of the study.
Nowadays much amounts and various kinds of fashion products are sold through cyber shopping malls. Vendor type and intermediate type cyber shopping mall among many types of cyber shopping malls were selected to analyze assortment and price of fashion products. fashion products 'Best 100' from two cyber shopping malls were listed and classified. The results were as followed: First, the portion of fashion products at vendor type cyber shopping mall was higher than that of intermediate type. Second, fashion products items such as coat, Jacket, one-piece dress, sweater, t-shirt, pants, skirt, and underwear were sold at cyber shopping malls. Underwear and t-shirt were the best selling items at intermediate type shopping mall, and more expensive and fashionable coat, Jacket, and one-piece dress were the best selling items at vendor type shopping mall. Third, the price range of fashion items at vendor type shopping mall was higher than that of intermediate type shopping mall from 1,000 won to 99,000 won.

The purpose of this study was to find out differences of women's professionalism and attractiveness according to the perceiver's level of interest on accessory, the object person's age, and accessory wearing. Subjects were 178 college women in Seoul. The evaluation of the accessory wearing was divided into five dimensions: professionalism, attractiveness, loveliness, femininity, and individuality. The look of accessory wearing had significant influences on the evaluation of professionalism and attractiveness. The women in their 40's wearing the scarf on a jacket were evaluatedhigh in professionalism, attractiveness, and femininity. The 40's wearing the cap with a T-shirt were evaluatedlow in professionalism and attractiveness. The women in their 20's wearing the cap with a T-shirt were evaluatedhigh in attractiveness and loveliness. Wearing of scarf enhanced professionalism, femininity, and individuality, wearing necklace enhanced femininity, and wearing cap enhanced loveliness of women. Perceiver's level of interest on accessory gave significant influences on perception of professionalism and attractiveness. The object person's age gave significant influences on loveliness, femininity, and individuality. Professionalism, attractiveness, loveliness, and femininity had interaction effects according to object person's age and accessories. When women in their 40's wore scarf or necklace, their professionalism was raised more than those in their 20's. Therefore accessory wearing was more effective to the women in their 40's than the 20's.
