  • This paper presents modular design techniques of multiple-valued logic functions about the function decomposition method and input variable management method. The function decomposition method takes avantage of the property of the column multiplicity in a single-column variable partitioning. Due to the increased number of identical modules, we can achieve a simpler circuit design by using a single T-gate, which can eliminate some of the control functions in the module libraty types. The input variable management method is to reduce the complexity of the input variables by proposing the look up table which assign input variables to a code. In this case as the number of sub-functions increase the code-length and the size of the code-assignment table grow. We identify some situations where shard input variables among sub-functions can be further reduced by a simplicication technique. According to the result of adapting this method to a function, we have demonstrated the superiority of the proposed methods which is bing decreased to about 12% of interconnection and about 16% of T-gate numbers compare with th eexisting for th enon-symmetric and irregular function realization.

  • This study was intended to describe the hypertensive patient's lifestyle and quality of life by creating a hypothetic model on the lifestyle and quality of life and by examining a causeand effect relationship, and to contribute to countermeasures for practicing their lifestyle and improving the quality of life through creating a predictable model. Exogenous variable($\xi$) of hypothetic model in this study composed of a family support, hypertension knowledge, perceived benefit and toughness. Endogenous variable($\eta$) composed of self-esteem, perceived health state, depression, lifestyle and quality of life. There were 6 measured variables for exogenous variable(x). There were 9 measured variables(y) for endogenous variable. Also, there was error variable ($\delta,\;\epsilon$) of an individual. The survey was conducted for 207 hypertensive parents who received an out-patient service for 3 weeks from September 15, 2003 to October 3, 2003 after diagnosing as hypertension from 2 general hospitals in Daegu. As the conformance of hypothetic model in this study, there were $x^2$= 155.81, standard $x^2$ ($x^2$/df)=2.32, GFI=0.003, NFI=0.971, CFI=0.982, and RMSEA=0.080. Generally, the hypothetic model and actual data were well coincided. The higher the hypertension knowledge was(t=6.030), the higher the perceived benefit was(t=9.429), the higher the toughness was(t=2.783), and the higher the perceived health state was(t=2.282), the higher the lifestyle was. However, the degree of depression (t=-0.038), family support(t=1.161), and self-esteem(t=0.518) was not affected. The higher the family support was(t=10.476), the higher the self-esteem was(t=7.244), the higher the perceived health state was(t=6.996), the lower the degree of depression was(t=-2.044), and the higher the practice degree of lifestyle was(t=3.315), the higher the quality of life was. However, the toughness(t=1.672) didn't have a significant influence on the quality of life. It was modified to increase the model conformance and gain a conscious model As the result of model revision, for the model conformance, there were $x^2$= 118.43, standard $x^2$=1.69, GFI=0.923, NFI=0.976, CFI=0.982, and RMSEA=0.078. As the revised model showed the better conformance than hypothetic model, it seemed to be more suitable model. In the revised model, the perceived benefit(t=9.440) affected the lifestyle in the revised model. Then, the lifestyle was influenced by hypertension knowledge(t=6.139), toughness (t=2.757), family support(t=2.078), perceived health state(t=1.962) in the order. As a factor which affected the quality of life, there were the family support(t=l0.46l), self-esteem(t=7.368), perceived health state(t=6.989), lifestyle(t=3.316), toughness(t=2.584), and depression(t=-1.968) in the order. It showed the significant effect.

  • This study was conducted to identify the differences in voice characteristic variables before and after taking a certain amount of high-caffeine. Linear PCM-M10 Recorder (SONY) was used for the recorder and basic frequency of the voice (Fo), frequency fluctuation rate (jitter), amplitude fluctuation rate (shimmer) and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) were measured using TF-32(University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA). First, prolonged phonation analysis results of /ah/ by male subjects showed the shimmer values after taking high-caffeine increased statistically significantly(p<.05) compared with before the intake and SNR values significantly decreased. (p<.05). On the other hand, female subjects didn't show any statistically significant differences in all variables. Second, male subjects showed statistically significant increased shimmer values after the intake compared with before the intake at /ah/ of syllable 'na' and /ah/ in 'ra' in 'autumn' paragraph (p<.05), and jitter values significantly increased at /ah/ in 'ah' (p<.05). However, female subjects didn't show any statistically significant differences in all variables. Results of this study showed that high-caffeine intake more affects male subjects than female subjects. In male subjects, shimmer and SNR changed at vowel prolonged phonation, /ah/, and study results showed that shimmer and SNR in 'Autumn' paragraph /na/, /ra/ and jitter in /ah/ could be identified as the variables to show the voice change.

  • This study examined the differences in job related variables, job satisfaction and job performance against demographic characteristics and the impacts of job related variables on job satisfaction and job performance. A questionnaire survey collected data from september $1^{st}$ and $7^{th}$ 2011. A convenience sample was drawn from salespersons working for department stores in Daegu and Pohang. A total of 337 responses were complete and usable questionnaires. Data were tested through factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and regression analysis, using SPSS 21.0. The results of this study are as follows: First, six factors were extracted from job related variables (positive reaction of customer, career of salespeople, interpersonal relations, influence of salesperson, customer complaints, overwork). Second, there were significant differences in job related variables, job satisfaction, and job performance according to age, marital status, average monthly income, work period, and job position. Third, regression analysis between job related variables and job satisfaction showed that the most influential predictor of job satisfaction was career of salespeople, followed by interpersonal relations, influence of salesperson, customer complaints, and overwork. The most influential predictor between job related variables and job performance was positive reaction of customer, followed by career of salespeople, interpersonal relations, influence of salesperson, and customer complaints.

  • In this article we will introduce a real valued random field on a restricted indexed set and construct a classical asymptotic limit theorems on them. We will survey the basic properties of weakly dependent random processes and investigate two major mixing conditions for sequences of random variables. The concepts of weakly dependent sequence of random variables will be generalized to the case of random fields. Finally we will construct a central limit theorem and prove it.

  • The achievements of genome-wide association studies have suggested ways to predict diseases, such as type 2 diabetes (T2D), using single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). Most T2D risk prediction models have used SNPs in combination with demographic variables. However, it is difficult to evaluate the pure additive contribution of genetic variants to classically used demographic models. Since prediction models include some heritable traits, such as body mass index, the contribution of SNPs using unmatched case-control samples may be underestimated. In this article, we propose a method that uses propensity score matching to avoid underestimation by matching case and control samples, thereby determining the pure additive contribution of SNPs. To illustrate the proposed propensity score matching method, we used SNP data from the Korea Association Resources project and reported SNPs from the genome-wide association study catalog. We selected various SNP sets via stepwise logistic regression (SLR), least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO), and the elastic-net (EN) algorithm. Using these SNP sets, we made predictions using SLR, LASSO, and EN as logistic regression modeling techniques. The accuracy of the predictions was compared in terms of area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC). The contribution of SNPs to T2D was evaluated by the difference in the AUC between models using only demographic variables and models that included the SNPs. The largest difference among our models showed that the AUC of the model using genetic variants with demographic variables could be 0.107 higher than that of the corresponding model using only demographic variables.

  • As the value and relative importance of service industry boosts in modern society, to strengthen competitiveness companies starts to recognize the quality of service as a key component in their business operations. Furthermore, companies that apply the quality of services as their competitive method are concentrating more on the area of quality control. Nevertheless, the previous researches related to this area were more focused on the aspect of measure rather than the control. In this paper, each fractionated customer group in consideration of its characteristics is made in use of estimating the quality of service using the conjoint analysis. The principal variable selective method which a small number of variables is used to control a large number of variables is applied. Hotelling's $T^2$ control chart is applied to administer many relative variables of the quality of service because it is a Multi-item. If abnormal indications appear by adding new data, the method to find and improve variables using MYT decomposition is suggested to apply.

  • Regression analysis has become a standard statistical tool in the behavioral science. Because of its widespread popularity. regression has been often misused. Such is the case when the dependent variable is a qualitative measure rather than a continuous, interval measure. Regression estimates with a qualitative dependent variable does not meet the assumptions underlying regression. It can lead to serious errors in the standard statistical inference. Logit model is recommended as alternatives to the regression model for qualitative dependent variables. Researchers can employ this model to measure the relationship between independent variables and qualitative dependent variables without assuming that logit model was derived from probabilistic choice theory. Coefficients in logit model are typically estimated by the method of Maximum Likelihood Estimation in contrast to ordinary regression model which estimated by the method of Least Squares Estimation. Goodness of fit in logit model is based on the likelihood ratio statistics and the t-statistics is used for testing the null hypothesis.
