In this paper, a unified solution of Hankel norm approximation problem is proposed by $\delta$-operator. To derive the main result, all-pass property is derived from the inner and co-inner property in the $\delta$-domain. The solution of all-pass becomes an optimal Hankel norm approximation problem in .delta.-domain through LLFT(Low Linear Fractional Transformation) inserting feedback term $\phi(\gamma)$, which is a free design parameter, to hold the error bound desired against the variance between the original model and the solution of Hankel norm approximation problem. The proposed solution does not only cover continuous and discrete ones depending on sampling interval but also plays a key role in robust control and model reduction problem. The verification of the proposed solution is exemplified via simulation for the zero-order Hankel norm approximation problem and the model reduction problem applied to a 16th order MIMO system.

Nano-sized iron was synthesized using borohydride reduction of $Fe^{3+}$ in aqueous solution. A wide range of synthesis conditions including varying concentrations of reagents, reagent feeding rate, and solution pH was applied in an aqueous system under anaerobic condition. The reactivity of nano-sized iron from each synthesis was evaluated by reacting the iron with TCE in batch systems. Evidence obtained from this study suggest the reactivity of iron is strongly dependent on the synthesis solution pH. The iron reactivity increased as solution pH decreased. More rapid TCE reduction was observed for iron samples synthesized from higher initial $Fe^{3+}$ concentration, which resulted in lower solution pH during the synthesis reaction. Faster feeding of $BH_4^-$ solution to the $Fe^{3+}$ solution resulted in lower synthesis solution pH and the resultant iron samples gave higher TCE reduction rate. Lowering the pH of the solution after completion of the synthesis reaction significantly increased reactivity of iron. It is presumed that the increase in the reactivity of iron synthesized at lower pH is due to less precipitation of iron (hydr)oxides or less surface passivation of iron.

Many algorithms have been developed for optimizing the asymmectric traveling salesman problem known as a representative NP-Complete problem. The most efficient ones of them are branch and bound algorithms based on the subtour elimination approach. To increase efficiency of the branch and bound algorithm. number of decision nodes should be decreased. For this the minimum bound that is more close at the optimal solution should be found or an effective bounding strategy should be used. If the optimal solution has been known, we may apply it usefully to branching. Because a good feasible solution should be found as soon as possible and have similar features of the optimal solution. By the way, the upper bound solution in branch and bound algorithm is most close at the optimal solution. Therefore, the upper bound solution can be used instead of the optimal solution and information of which can be applied to new branching criteria. As mentioned above, this paper will propose an effective branching rule using the information of the upper bound solution in the branch and bound algorithm. And superiority of the new branching rule will be shown by comparing with Bellmore-Malone's one and carpaneto-Toth's one that were already proposed.

Fuzzy-CBR Collision Avoidance Support System is a system that finds a solution from past knowledge retrieved from the database and adapted to a new situation. Its algorithm has resulted to an adapting a solution for a new situation. However, ontology is needed in identifying concepts, relations and instances that are involved in a situation in order to improve and facilitate the efficient retrieval of similar cases from the CBR database. This paper proposes the way to apply ontology for identifying the concepts involved in a new environment and use them as inputs, for a ship collision avoidance support system., Similarity will be obtained through document articulation and using abstraction levels. A conceptual model of a maneuvering situation will be built using these ontologies.
The MBSE design method using UML has not been well exhibited throughout the overall system design processes. There has been many different modeling usages of UML for system requirements proposed by many till now. The extension of UML to system modeling must demonstrate consistent representation rule throughout the overall processes. This study proposes the method of using UML with overal consistency to implement system design processes. to validate and verify the proposed UML approaches, a case study of ATACMS Block IA missile system design was implemented and the resulting products were shown. phases of the systems engineering design process, logical solution development, and physical solution development, were demonstrated

Power system engineers use power systems solution programs such as PSS/E, DSATool, Power World simulators for power system analysis. In this reason, KEPCO has begun to develop independent power system program, KW-PSS(KEPCO World Power system Solution) since 2002 and KW-PSS ver2.0 development was completed in 2011. However, it did not have much better functions compared with other programs. Therefore, we focused on the development of the practical and specialized functions. Consequently, PAZ(Power system AnalyZer) ver3.0 has been developed and it realized a differentiation than previous version. In other words, previous version focused on the basic function of power system analysis, PAZ ver3.0 has implemented many automated functions for power system operators were driven maximize operational efficiency. The unique feature of the implementation is as follows : Automated check for exceeding the breaker capacity, Scheduled outage automation, Control-file wizard for various voltage stability analysis, Scenario-based multiple transient stability analysis and Auto calculation of transmission line impedance. As shown in these functions, Those functions provide to use power system analysis easily by automation and simplification for power system engineers. We will secure national expertise through PAZ ver3.0. In addition it will be able to gain competitive edge through the steady development in the world market.

This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of nutrient solution strength on the growth of miniature multiflora P. amabilis and P. Taisuco Red Jewel at two growth stages during four months cultivation in an ebb and flow system. Early stage plants gained the biggest leaf length and width when nutrient solution strength was EC 0.5 or $1.0dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$ in P. amabilis, and EC $1.5dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$ in P. Taisuco Red Jewel. Root length and weight were the greatest when nutrient solution strength was EC $0.5dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$ in both cultivars and this trend was also found in middle stage plants. Fresh and dry weights of leaves increased as nutrient solution strength was elevated and were the greatest when nutrient solution strength was EC $1.5dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$ in P. amabilis. On the contrary elevation of nutrient solution strength decreased fresh weight of roots, being the greatest when nutrient solution strength was EC $0.5dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$. This trend was also found in P. Taisuco Red Jewel and P. amabilis at middle growth stage. The T/R ratio and chlorophyll content increased with nutrient solution strength and were the greatest regardless of cultivar and growth stage when nutrient strength was EC $1.5dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$.
Recently CRT is getting flatted, As change of CRT trend from normal type to Flat type, the material of Shadow Mask was also changed from AK(Aluminum Killed) to Invar(Fe-Ni alloy) materials Until now we have used just AK(Aluminum Killed) for normal type TV(not flat type), but main raw material of shadow mask component was changed. . However recently Invar(Fe-Ni alloy) materials, which has advantage of Low Thermal Expansion and High Strength, has been developed as well as applying in mass production as CRT's trend has become more flat and fine pitch. As main raw material of shadow mask component was changed, conditions of process were changed. One of them, the importance of pre-etching process (assistant process for developing & etching) is improved because there are so many particles in the pre-etching bath because of Ni compounds. Since the solubility of Ni in pre-etching solvent is very low related to Fe's, so the compounds of Ni happen to make particles.(the solubility of Fe is twenty times Ni's) that particles happen to make process troubles and NG productions so to clear the particles we had to established high cost filtering system, but it is useless. As time goes by the quantity of particles (Ni compounds) was increased because of the capability of filtering system was not enough, the particles was produced continuous in bath, and it make quality problems. Hence we tried to develop the new pre-etching solution to remove the particles (Ni compounds) and to cost down the filtering system's running cost. But in improving the solution we discovered the new pre-etching solution made the PR developing better. In former solution there were three kinds of chemistry (COOH)2 , H2O2 , H2S04 .first the function of (COOH)2 is drilling the surface of Invar, during this mechanism Ni compounds occurred. Second the function of H202 is removing the PR fringe (half UV exposure zone on PR(PVA)), Third the function of H2S04 is the catalysis of (COOH)2 In those, (COOH)2 was the main reason to make the Ni compounds. So to improve the solutions we had to change (COOH)2 to the other material. the chemistry we improved was a complex chemistry based on H2S04 . after using this chemistry the particles problem was disappeared and there was another advantage cut down the PR fringe. The New solution made the function of H202 better so the PR developing improved. To be direct the catalyst of the new solution helped the H202. anyway First thing after change the solution the quality of shadow Mask for flat color TV was improved & the yield also improved. But the more important thing is how to control the new solution. So we accepted the new concept which was the degree of freshness. The degree of freshness is based on non-reacted solution which was 100% ( the degree of freshness) and calculated the melted Ni quantity as time goes by. So we made the gauging liner plot. In conclusion, many companies tried to make fine pitched Shadow Mask ,generally to make quality jump up it needed a lot of cost & persons .in this case the shift of core material made it possible.

Experiments were carried out to study the operation characteristics of a regenerator with a thermo-syphon pump and a surface-flame burner for a lithium bromide (LiBr)-water absorption heat pump. A cylindrical-shape metal-fiber burner and commercial grade propane were used. The emission of carbon monoxide and nitric oxide was measured by a combustion gas analyzer. Ther regeneration rate of water vapor as a refrigerant was measured. It could be as a reference value showing the performance of the regenerator. The circulation rate of the LiBr-water solution was also measured from both the tanks for the weak-and the strong-solution. Using a refractometer, the LiBr concetration in the solution was calculated from the measured refractory index of the solution. Temperature of the solution and the condensed water was recorded at several points in the experimental apparatus with thermocouples, using a personal computer. This data collecting system for measuring temperature was calibrated with a set of standard thermometers. The generating rate of water vapor as refrigerant increased linearly with heat supplied. It was about 4.0g/s with the heat supplied at a rate of 16,500kcal/h. The circulation rate of LiBr solution also increases with the heat supplied. The difference in LiBr concentrations between the weak and the strong solution was in the range of 1 to 5% when the concentration of the strong solution was about 60%. It was dependent upon both the heat supplied and the circulation rate of the solution. The initial concentration and the level of the LiBr solution in the regenerator were measured and recorded before experiments. The effect of them on the generating rate of water vapor and the circulation rate of the solution was also studied. The generating rate of water vapor was not strongly dependent upon both the level of the LiBr solution and the initial LiBr concentration. However, the concentration difference of the solution increases with the initial level of the LiBr solution.

This paper describes a multi channel measurement system which can measure the cellular respiration level in a solution containing cells by using a Clark-type sensor with the solution temperature control unit. The Clark-type sensor can measure the cellular respiration level in the solution because it can measure the reduction current depending on the dissolved oxygen level in the solution. This measurement system was maintained the temperature within ${\pm}0.1^{\circ}C$ of the setting temperature value by on/off control method in order to measure the precise cellular respiration level. The measurement system showed that the applied voltage to the working electrode was very stable(-0.8 V$\pm$ 0.0071 V) by using proportional control method. From the current measurement, the response time and the linearity correlation coefficient were 25 sec and 0.94, respectively, which are very close to the results of the commercial product. Using this system and the fabricated Clarktype sensor, the average ratio of the uncoupled OCR(oxygen consumption rate) to the coupled OCR was 1.35 and this is almost the same as that obtained from a commercial systems.
