Radar Signal Processor Design Using FPGA (FPGA를 이용한 레이더 신호처리 설계)

  • The radar signal processing procedure is divided into the pre-processing such as frequency down converting, down sampling, pulse compression, and etc, and the post-processing such as doppler filtering, extracting target information, detecting, tracking, and etc. The former is generally designed using FPGA because the procedure is relatively simple even though there are large amounts of ADC data to organize very quickly. On the other hand, in general, the latter is parallel processed by multiple DSPs because of complexity, flexibility and real-time processing. This paper presents the radar signal processor design using FPGA which includes not only the pre-processing but also the post-processing such as doppler filtering, bore-sight error, NCI(Non-Coherent Integration), CFAR(Constant False Alarm Rate) and etc.

  • This paper analyzes the dynamic characteristics for doubly-fed induction generator(DFIG) in wind turbine system. This paper presents a modeling and simulation of a grid-connected wind turbine generation system for dynamics analysis on MATLAB/Simulink, and analyzes the responses DFIG wind turbine system for stiffness of linked system. Simulation results show the variations of generator's active/reactive output, terminal voltage, fault current, etc.

  • In this article, recent trends of technology in design of CNC system for machine tools which has increased in number and applications by needs for FA(Factory Automation), save of labor in various industries, are described. These technology improvements in CNC system take place especially in the field of performance, reliability, compactness, price, etc. From these technology improvements, the theme of "performance improvements of CNC system" are selected and mostly described in this article. Also, the major features of a CNC system product of our company and its characteristics in system design are briefly described.described.

  • This paper is about the maintenance CALS system development and construction for the urban transit railway. The operation companies of urban transit railway are driving to construct the maintenance CALS system individually. So, there are concerned problems of duplication investment and waste of budget in the national aspect, inefficient CALS system construction, and etc. In order to resolve that, the KRRI is driving to development and construction of the standardized maintenance CALS system for the urban transit railway. This paper describes the result of basic design of the standardized maintenance CALS system using the CBD development method.

  • This research is automatic Wet Pipe Sprinkler System, dry pipe Sprinkler System, preaction Sprinkler system, vacuum Sprinkler system, deluge Sprinkler system, etc., key components of each Sprinkler system, verve valve, valve, etc. This is to simplify the various processes of the manufacturing process into a single process to create an environment in which a single machine can simultaneously produce a standardized product, thereby improving the price competitiveness of the product, reducing the cost of maintaining the product, and making it more adaptable to the new sprinkler system that is developed in the future. Automatic Wet Pipe Sprinkler System, desipe Sprinkler System, preaction sprinkler system, vacuum Sprinkler system, deluge Sprinkler system, both types of existing Sprinkler system, only replace the primary and secondary tubing valves.It has the advantage of being easy to apply to the lower system. Legal and institutional research is needed for the commercialization of the Sprinkler system applying the solenoid valve as a future project.

Study on the Development of K-City Roadmap through the Standard Analysis of the Test-Bed for Automated Vehicles in China (중국 자율주행차 테스트베드 관련 표준 분석을 통한 K-City 고도화 방안 수립에 관한 연구)

  • The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MoLIT) and the Korean Automobile Testing and Research Institute (KATRI) are supporting the development of Lv.3 automated vehicle (hereinafter, AV) technology by constructing an automated driving pilot city (as known as K-City) equipped with total 5 evaluation environments (urban, motorway, suburban, community road, and autonomous parking facility) which is a test bed exclusively for AV (2017~2018). An upgrade project is in a progress to materialize harsh environments such as bad weather (rain, fog, etc.) and reproduction of communication jamming (GPS blocking, etc.) with the purpose of supporting the development of Lv.4 connected & automated vehicle (hereinafter, CAV) technology (2019~2022). We intend to proactively establish a national level standard for CAV test-bed and test road requirements, test method, etc. for establishment of a road map for the construction of the test bed which is being promoted step by step and analyze and, when required, benchmark the case of China that has announced and is utilizing it. Through this, we plan to define standardized requirements (evaluation facility, evaluation system, etc.) on the test bed for the development of Lv.4/4+ CAV technology and utilize the same for the design and construction of a test bed, establishment of a road map for the construction of a real car-based test environment related to the support for autonomous driving service substantiation, etc. through provision of an evaluation environment utilizing K-City, and the establishment of a K-City upgrade strategies, etc.

  • Patient monitoring system, which is one of widly used medical electronic equipment in clinics, is developed. This prototype bedside monitor is considered that can measure electrocardiograph, photoplethysmograph, heart rate, respiratory, body temperature, and etc. Some clinical tests are performed and considered with its usefulness for patient monitoring items.
