Emotional Behavior Decision Model Based on Linear Dynamic System for Intelligent Service Robots (지능형 서비스 로봇을 위한 선형 동적 시스템 기반의 감정 기반 행동 결정 모델)

  • This paper introduces an emotional behavior decision model based on linear system for intelligent service robots. An emotional model should make different behavior decisions according to the purpose of the robots. We propose an emotional behavior decision model which can change the character of intelligent service robots and make different behavior decisions although the situation and environment remain the same. We defined each emotional element such as reactive dynamics, internal dynamics, emotional dynamics, and behavior dynamics by state dynamic equations. The proposed system model is a linear dynamic system. If you want to add one external stimulus or behavior, you need to add just one dimensional vector to the matrix of external stimulus or behavior dynamics. The case of removing is same. The change of reactive dynamics, internal dynamics, emotional dynamics, and behavior dynamics also follows the same procedure. We implemented a cyber robot and an emotional head robot using 3D character for verifying the performance of the proposed emotional behavior decision model.

  • This study provides the method to build the rotor system model using dynamic analysis software. also, it introduces the traditional methods of the rotor system modeling and informs the each merits and demerits. We will make up the flexible system of rotor system model with ADAMS, multi-body dynamics S/W, in order to develop dynamics model and get the response of plant model near to real model through connection the SIMULINK of MATLAB. We will develop the computing dynamics-controling model possible controlled simulation similar to a real model with controlling the plant model.

  • Although many system dynamists point out the close relationship between institutional economics and system dynamics, the relationship between institutional political theory and system dynamics approach is not explicitly appreciated yet. We developed a system dynamics model to investigate theoretical propositions of institutional politics. Our system dynamics model showed how the endogenous mechanism can explain the political changes as well as orders. Although simple in the causal structure, our model could show a complex behavior of political competition. Several simulation results imply that some unexpected changes in election and power competition may come from the endogenous system rather than from exogenous factors such as economic and environmental shocks.

  • A system dynamics model is developed to investigate policies for the school-age child weights and heights. The model is based upon the system dynamic model of Soonhee lee(2003), the purpose of which was policy analysis for obese control of adult people. Although the purpose and target people are different, the main structure can be applied to in the same way. Besides the carbohydrate, protein, and fat material, the new model covers hormone and heights with new input mechanisms for foods and activities. The simulation results matches well with the average school-age children in Korea with the average inputs data (foods and activities). The model can be used for various purposes such as policy analyses, care plan for obese children, etc.

  • When one is interested in the dynamics of a mechanical system with electric motors, the force generated by the motor is generally considered as only an applied torque or force independent of mechanical state variables such as velocity. For a system operated in non-steady dynamic conditions, however, the usual analysis approach may fail to predict some characteristics in the dynamic behaviors because of electromechanical coupling effects. In this paper, we propose dynamics analysis model in which dc motor dynamics with the electromechanical coupling effects are embedded to mechanical dynamics models. The do motor is modeled based on its equivalent circuit model and included in the dynamics solving algorithm which we developed before, called generalized recursive dynamics formula. The developed dynamic analysis model is effective and realistic for analysis of electromechanical dynamics of a system with do motors. The developed model is evaluated by constructing and simulating the flexible antennas of an artificial satellite driven by do motors.

  • In this paper, a real-time multibody vehicle dynamics and control model has been developed for a virtual reality intelligent vehicle simulator. The simulator consists of low PCs for a virtual reality visualization system, vehicle dynamics and control analysis system a control loading system, and a network monitoring system. Virtual environment is created by 3D Studio Max graphic tool and OpenGVS real-time rendering library. A real-time vehicle dynamics and control model consists of a control module based on the sliding mode control for adaptive cruise control and a real-time multibody vehicle dynamics module based on the subsystem synthesis method. To verify the real-time capability of the model, cut-in, cut-out simulations have been carried out.

  • This study examines the effect that the prepaid trust has in saving the troubled business. Developing a formal system dynamics model, building on case studies of corporate turnaround, we developed a mathematical model on the relationship between the prepaid trust and corporate turnaround. The Model shows how the prepaid trust can shift an organizational system from fragile condition to resilient condition of a firm. This study elaborartes a new set of conditions under which organizations may turn around via prepaid trust of stakeholders.

  • The system dynamics is a systematic method supplemented by the decision making Process of management to the numerical and theoretical analyses in the field of the operation research or the industrial engineering. The system dyamics seems to be one of the most useful mathematical methods for forecasting the future social system or for evaluating the alternative plans. Land-use/transportation system dynamics model is constructed from the urban activity generation model based on the economic base hyphothesis using the DYNAMO simulation language. The model was applied to Daegu city and showed the validity.

  • This article aims to develop a model for analysing the relationships among the factors affecting the national competitiveness and to explore the future trend of Korea's national competitiveness using a system dynamics approach. For this purpose the article examines the national competitiveness indexes being published by the international institutions such as IMD and WEF. The article also demonstrates how national competitiveness may be strengthened and finally suggests that the national competitiveness should be studied systematically in the future.

  • A system dynamics model is developed in order to evaluate the contribution level of the activities regarding HANARO, which is the research reactor in Korea. The system dynamics model has room to be improved, but it is logically sound enough to evaluate the general level of contributions and to develop strategies for the HANARO to be more contributable. Considering the uncertainty involved with the input variables, the contribution level is ranged from 3 times to about 30 times of the investment made on it.
