Performance Analysis of Water Direct Contact Air Conditioning System (물 직접접촉식 공기조화장치의 성능해석)

  • Performance of the water direct contact air conditioning system, in which heat and mass are transferred directly between air and water droplet, is simulated by semi-empirical method. This system improves transport efficiency compared to conventional indirect contact system and cooling, heating, dehumidification and humidification are attained with one unit. In this study, temperature and flowrate for air and water are measured in the various cooling and heating conditions, and correlations for $h_{c}A/c_{pm}$ are derived from these data. Cooling and heating characteristics of the water direct contact air conditioning system are investigated using correlations.

  • When a power system experiences a serious disturbance on insufficient power, the system frequency may drop. For system frequency will be maintain standard value, under_frequency relay will reconstruct balance of power and load by load shedding. Currently load shedding scheme is due to establishment plan by fixed scenario. Where compare current scheme with past scheme, system frequency should be recovered by load shedding using rate of frequency decline. This paper suggests the dynamic load shedding scheme by using the rate of change of frequency when The Korea Electric power system is happened the large disturbance.

  • This paper presents database design and construction for VSECOMs (Voltage Security On-line Monitoring System). The database design has steps of requirements collection and analysis, conceptual design, logical design, and physical design. For interconnection between New EMS and VSECOMs to get the needed data, Snapshots in ORACLE are proposed. It proved the proposal to be compatible through the case study.

  • 이 연구는 DVB에서 제안한 휴대형 디지털 TV 전송시스템인 DVB-H 시스템의 이동수신 성능을 분석하였다. DVB-H 시스템은 DVB-T 시스템을 휴대용으로 보완한 것으로 4K 모드, MPE-FEC 및 In-depth Interleaver 등이 추가되었으며, 이 연구는 각 추가 기능에 대하여 이동수신 성능향상 정도를 분석하였다. 이동수신 환경을 제공하기 위하여 COST 207을 적용하였다. 4K 모드는 최대지연시간이 긴 다중경로채널에서 8K 모드와 유사하고 2K 모드보다 훨씬 우수한 수신성능을 보였으며 도플러에 대해서는 2K와 8K 모드의 중간정도의 수신성능을 보여 주었다. MPE-FEC와 In-depth Interleaver는 이동수신채널에서 약간의 수신성능 향상을 보여 주었다.

  • In this paper voltage distribution in stator windings of induction motor driven by IGBT PWM inverter is studied. To analyze the irregular voltage of stator winding, equivalent circuit model of inverter-cable-motor was proposed and high frequency parameter is computed by using finite element method (FEM). Electro-magnetic transient program (EMTP) analysis of the whole system for induction motor and PWM inverter is proposed. Induction motor, 50[HP], and a switching surge generator was built to consider the voltage distribution. The results of EMTP analysis compared with experimental results.

Convergence analysis of fixed-point iteration with Anderson Acceleration on a simplified neutronics/thermal-hydraulics system

  • In-depth convergence analyses for neutronics/thermal-hydraulics (T/H) coupled calculations are performed to investigate the performance of nonlinear methods based on the Fixed-Point Iteration (FPI). A simplified neutronics-T/H coupled system consisting of a single fuel pin is derived to provide a testbed. The xenon equilibrium model is considered to investigate its impact during the nonlinear iteration. A problem set is organized to have a thousand different fuel temperature coefficients (FTC) and moderator temperature coefficients (MTC). The problem set is solved by the Jacobi and Gauss-Seidel (G-S) type FPI. The relaxation scheme and the Anderson acceleration are applied to improve the convergence rate of FPI. The performances of solution schemes are evaluated by comparing the number of iterations and the error reduction behavior. From those numerical investigations, it is demonstrated that the number of FPIs is increased as the feedback is stronger regardless of its sign. In addition, the Jacobi type FPIs generally shows a slower convergence rate than the G-S type FPI. It also turns out that the xenon equilibrium model can cause numerical instability for certain conditions. Lastly, it is figured out that the Anderson acceleration can effectively improve the convergence behaviors of FPI, compared to the conventional relaxation scheme.

  • This paper is a study on the improvement of industrial land information system. Status and problems of current industrial land information system is analyzed to establish objectives and methods and direction of improving the system based on our analysis. Since the industrial land information system is using outdated H/W and commercial S/W, there exists problems such as large maintenance cost, difficulty of immediate response for system problems and limited access of searching and providing information. In this paper, the problems of current system is resolved through applying the "e-Government standard framework" and open source S/W. And we suggested application of functions on information link enhancement and visualization through this research. Our research is expected to be applicable for analyzing/designing and developing system improvement in the future.

Vibration transfer characteristic of foaming sponge chair seat (발포스펀지 의자시트의 진동전달 특성)

  • Recently, in the movie theater, the special chair is installed to maximize the viewing effect of movies. It is structured to convey a vibrational stimulus to a specially-designated parts of human body by attaching a vibration transducer to a existing theater chair. This paper describes the analysis of the vibration transfer characteristic of a foaming sponge seat for the design of the special chair. We could not apply the structural analysis S/W because it is difficult to obtain the mechanical properties and damping coefficients of the various type sponges. And then we computed the transfer functions by the global curve fitting program based on experimental modal analysis. The experimental response results comparatively coincide with those by the global curve fitting program. We also could obtain the natural frequencies, the modal damping coefficient ratio, the modal vectors and the whole transfer functions. Therefore we could analyze the dynamic characteristic for design of foaming sponge seat.

  • Recently, photovoltaic system has been studied widely as a renewable energy system, because it does not produce environmental pollution and it has infinity energy source from the sun. A study on photovoltaic system has a lot of problems like as reappearance and repetition of some situation in the laboratory experiment for development of MPPT algorithm and islanding detection algorithm, because output characteristics of solar cell are varied by irradiation and surface temperature of solar cell. And this system is consisted a lot of solar cell unit. Therefore, the assistant equipment which emulates the solar cell characteristics which can be controlled arbitrarily by researcher is require to the researchers for reliable experimental data. In this paper, the virtual implement of solar cell (VISC) system is proposed to solve these problems and to achieve reliable experimental result on photovoltaic system. VISC system emulates the solar cell output characteristics, and this system can substitute solar cell in laboratory experiment system. To realize the VISC, mathematical model of solar cell is studied for driving converter and the DC/DC converters are compared in viewpoint of tracking error using computer simulation. And then analysis of parallel and series characteristics was done for combination of VISC model.

  • This paper describes the result of structure analysis of secondary bogie frame. The purpose of the analysis is to evaluate an safety which secondary bogie frame shall be considered fully sufficient rigidity so as to satisfy proper system function under maximum load. Secondary bogie system consist of bogie frame, suspensions, wheel-sets, and brake system. Among these component, the bogie frame is most significant component subjected to the vehicle and passenger loads. The evaluation method is used the JIS E 4207 specification throughout the FEM analysis. The analysis results have been very safety and stable for design load conditions.
