Evolution of Integrated Management Systems for Smart Library

  • For a library to be able provide information services and fulfill its function as a knowledge convergence center capable of responding to various information demands, the development of next-generation information systems based on the latest information and communication technology is needed. The development of mobile information services using portable devices such smart phones and tablet PCs and information systems which incorporate the concepts of cloud computing, SaaS (Software as a Service), annotation and Library2.0 is also required. This paper describes a library information system that utilizes collective intelligence and cloud computing. The information system developed for this study adopts the SaaS-based cloud computing service concept to cope with the shift in the mobile service paradigm in libraries and the explosion of electronic data. The strengths of such a conceptual model include the sharing of resources, support of multi-tenants, and the configuration and support of metadata. The user services are provided in the form of software on-demand. To test the performance of the developed system, the efficiency analysis and TTA certification test were conducted. The results of performance tests, It is encouraging that, at least up to 100MB, the job time is approximately linear and with only a moderate overhead of less than one second. The system also passed the level-3 or higher criteria in the certification test, which includes the SaaS maturity, performance and application program functions.

  • 시스템 가시성평가는 복잡한 시스템과 고도의 신뢰성 분야인 In-Vehicle 산업에서 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어간의 융합과 역할 변화에서 시작되었다. 융합의 중심이 기술에서 문화로 자연스럽게 스며드는 형태로 진화하고 있다. 문화의 주변에 기술의 생태적 특징을 반영하기 위해 유니버설미들웨어의 장점인 생명주기모델을 활용하여 시스템의 가시성을 높이고 직관적 판단을 유도하여 혼란 상태를 대비할 수 있다 .본 연구에서는 유니버설미들웨어 기반의 데이터와 서비스모듈을 유기적으로 표준화 및 안정화하여 시스템 가시성 엔진을 시험하고 평가하였다. 이 모듈은 Intelligent Pervasive Cloud 모듈, Memorial Service 모듈, Life Cycler 모듈로 구성하고 현재와 미래의 통신표준과 응용서비스 표준을 비롯한 다양한 요구사항을 반영하였다.

Thermal stress analysis for high pressure and temperature pipelines in ultra steam turbine (UST) system

  • A reliable assessment and analysis of the condition of high pressure and temperature steam pipelines requires defining stress state, which will take into consideration not just the impact of internal pressure and temperature but all applied loads. For that, usage of modeling and numerical methods for calculation and analysis of stress state is essential. The main aim of piping stress analysis is to check the design of piping layout, which will allow simple, efficient and economical piping supports and provide flexibility to the piping system for loads and stresses. The piping stress analysis is carried out using CAESER II software. By using this software we can evaluate stresses, stress ratios, flange condition, support loads, element forces and displacements at each node and points. In this paper, only the maximum and minimum displacement results are tabulated, which is also shown in detail by an example of main steam pipelines of UST Main Engine System [1].

  • 안전-필수 분야에 사용되는 소프트웨어의 신뢰도(dependability)를 보장하기 위해 소프트웨어의 테스팅과 확인 및 검증활동이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 위험수준이 높은 소프트웨어 모듈을 소프트웨어 수명수기 초기에 예측하여, 테스팅과 확인 및 검증 활동에 대한 자원할당을 도울 수 있게 해준다. 다중 클래스 분류를 지원하는 SVM(Support Vector Machine)을 이용하여 소프트웨어 모듈의 잠재위험수준 을 예측한다 잠재위험수준이 상대적으로 높게 나온 모듈들에 대해 테스팅과 확인 및 검증을 집중적으로 실시함으로써 보다 효과적으로 소프트웨어의 품질을 향상시킬 수 있다. 또한, 원전의 계측제어계통에 사용되는 안전-필수 소프트웨어의 안전성 심사를 위한 대상 모듈을 샘플링할 때 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

A Preliminary Exploration on Component Based Software Engineering

  • Component-based software development (CBD) is a methodology that has been embraced by the software industry to accelerate development, save costs and timelines, minimize testing requirements, and boost quality and output. Compared to the conventional software development approach, this led to the system's development being completed more quickly. By choosing components, identifying systems, and evaluating those systems, CBSE contributes significantly to the software development process. The objective of CBSE is to codify and standardize all disciplines that support CBD-related operations. Analysis of the comparison between component-based and scripting technologies reveals that, in terms of qualitative performance, component-based technologies scale more effectively. Further study and application of CBSE are directly related to the CBD approach's success. This paper explores the introductory concepts and comparative analysis related to component-based software engineering which have been around for a while, but proper adaption of CBSE are still lacking issues are also focused.

확장성과 개방성을 지원하는 SCADA 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and implementation of SCADA system to support scalability and openness)

  • The existing SCADA(Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system software is usually developed to suitable for the specific hardware platforms. However, as per rapid improvement of computer performance and development of network technology, it is required to support scalability and inter-operability in existing different SCADA systems. In order to meet such requirements, in this paper, we propose a new type of SCADA testbed using Java for electric distribution applications. The system consists of three modules; development support tools, client and server modules. The basic architecture of the proposed SCADA system is similar to existing one, however, we improve the function of MTU and MMI interface to facilitate LAN and WAN environment. Also, the proposed system can deals with alarm and history data by using heterogeneous DBMS. Since the system is built in Java environment, the development cost is cheap and it can support sacalability and portability. Our experience can be utilized to develop next generation of small and medium size of SCADA system.

  • 정보시스템 구축 프로젝트의 복잡성과 규모가 점차 커지면서, 프로젝트가 실패하는 경우가 발생한다. 프로젝트의 실패의 원인을 분석해보면 사용자의 프로젝트 이해 부족, 불명확한 요구사항 및 요구사항변경 등으로 소프트웨어 개발 생명주기 중 요구사항 분석 단계에서 대부분의 원인을 찾을 수 있다. 본 논문은 소프트웨어 개발 프로젝트에서 요구분석을 통해 도출된 기능과 변경요구 기능간의 추적 등 개발 생명주기 전체 기간 동안 지속적인 요구사항 변경 관리가 가능하게 하는 도구를 설계하였다. 그리고 프로젝트 관련자들 사이에서 충분한 합의와 협의를 통해 공통의 이해를 구축하는 효과적인 의사소통을 지원하는데 필요한 기능에 대해 논의한다.

서보 제어계 설계지원을 위한 퍼지추론 TOOL의 개발 (The development of fuzzy reasoning tool for the support design of servo system)

  • The diffusion of fuzzy logic techniques into real applications requires specific software supports which save development time and reduce the programming effort. But we has been lack of a tool devoted to support the design of fuzzy controllers. In this paper, on the basis of the general fuzzy set and .alpha.-cut set decomposition of fuzzy sets, a set of fuzzy reasoning tool(FRT) devoted to support the design of fuzzy dontroller for servo systems is developed. The major features of this tool are: 1) It supports users to analyze fuzzy ingerence status based on input deta and expected results by three-D graphic display. 2) It supports users to prepare input data and expected result. 3) It supports users to tuned scaling factor of membership functions, rules and fuzzy inference. The paper shows how the suggested design tools are suitable to give a consistent answer to the tuning of fuzzy control system. This FRT is expected to exert good performance and devoted to support which the design of fuzzy controller is illustrated in the servo systems.

  • 본 논문에서는 IIoT(Industrial IoT) 환경의 분산 게이트웨이 시스템(Distributed-Gateway System)에서 사용되는 수 천 개 이상의 센서에서 데이터 전송을 받는 각 게이트웨이의 데이터 처리 속도를 향상시키고 작업 오류를 줄이기 위하여 SVM(Support Vector Machine) 알고리즘을 사용한 센서 데이터 할당 기법을 제안한다. 각 센서의 반복 측정 간격과 중요도에 따라 작업부하(Workload)를 구하고, 이를 순차 반복 비교를 통해 Sub-task 값을 구한다. 이렇게 구해진 Sub-task값을 기준으로 각 게이트웨이에 할당시킴으로써 신뢰성과 정확성, 신속성을 확보한다.
