  • PLM(Product Lifecycle Management) is one of innovative manufacturing paradigms which leverages e-business technologies to allow a company's product content to be developed and integrated with all company business process through the extended enterprise. In these days, most construction companies also make an effort to enhance their systems for creating, sharing and managing information to improve business efficiency through entire lifecycle of project execution. Because of different needs, business process and diverse engineering activities such as design, structural analysis, installing simulation, documents and data managements, a new paradigm for construction companies is needed to manage and share the entire workflow, and information in total project lifecycle. In this paper, we conducted user requirement and business process analysis of constructions to design C-PLM system which is a PLM system for effective management of civil project and engineering activities. Also, we implement C-PLM system based on commercial PDM system, and applied it to civil project as case studies.

온톨로지와 ISO 15926을 이용한 공정 플랜트 기자재의 표현 (Representation of Process Plant Equipment Using Ontology and ISO 15926)

  • ISO 15926 is an international standard for the representation of process plant lifecycle data. However, it is not easy to implement the part 2-data model and the part 4-initial reference data because of their complexity in terms of data structure and shortages of related development toolkits. To overcome this problem, ISO 15926-7(part 7) is under development. ISO 15926-7 specifies implementation methods for sharing and exchange of process plant lifecycle data, which is based on semantic web technologies such as OWL, Web Services, and SPARQL. For the application of ISO 15926-7, this paper discusses how to represent technical specifications of process plant equipment by defining user-defined reference data and object information model with an example of reactor coolant pumps located in the reactor coolant system of an APR 1400 nuclear power plant.

  • Railway signaling systems are so vital to ensure the safe operation of railroad and the assurance and demonstration of the safety is so important. The safety management process shall consist of a number of phases and activities, which are linked to form the safety life-cycle. The basic processes of safety management and safety activity throughout the lifecycle are 'risk analysis' and 'hazard control'. The safety managements and activities for the two kinds of aspects are implemented throughout the whole steps of system lifecycle. The risk analyses and hazard controls like those are needed, these activities have to be carried out through the whole of system lifecycle.

레코드 컨티뉴엄 이론의 기원에 관한 연구 라이프사이클 모델과의 비교를 중심으로 (A Study on the Origin of Record Continuum Theory : Focusing on the Comparison with Record Lifecycle Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 레코드 컨티뉴엄 이론의 기원을 20세기 중반 이후 호주의 기록관리 상황 및 라이프사이클 모델과 결부하여 분석하였다. 레코드 컨티뉴엄 이론에 대한 심도 있는 이해를 위해서는 형성 배경 및 과정에 대한 고찰이 필요하며, 아울러 라이프사이클 모델에 대한 반향으로 구축된 이론체계란 점에서 라이프사이클 모델 자체에 대한 분석 역시 전제되어야 하기 때문이다. 이를 위해 우선 레코드 컨티뉴엄 이론형성의 역사적 배경 분석을 목표로, 1950년대 호주의 독립된 공공기록관리 체제의 모색 과정 속에서 미국의 라이프사이클 모델을 집중적으로 조명하게 된 배경 및 과정을 고찰하였다. 이어 라이프사이클 모델의 형성 배경과 함께 의미 및 한계를 고찰하였다. 라이프사이클 모델의 주요 내용 및 의의, 한계를 고찰하기 위해서는 어떠한 상황 속에서 형성되었는지에 대한 분석이 필요하며, 아울러 레코드 컨티뉴엄 이론이 라이프사이클 모델에 대한 비판을 통해 형성되었다면, 라이프사이클 모델이 지닌 의의 및 한계에 대한 고찰이 필요하기 때문이다. 이러한 분석을 토대로 마지막으로 호주의 새로운 기록생산 환경 속에 라이프사이클 모델의 적용에 따른 문제점과 더불어, 이를 기반으로 새롭게 태동된 레코드 컨티뉴엄 이론의 기원이 된 요소들을 고찰하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 통합제품개발 관점에서 Computer-Aided Engineering(CAE) 활동을 지원하는 제품자료모델(Product Data Model)을 제안한다. 제안된 제품자료모델은 제품개발 프로세스를 관리하는 제품생애주기관리(Product Lifecycle Management: PLM) 시스템에 현재 독립되어 진행되고 있는 CAE 활동을 통합될 수 있도록 한다. 제안된 제품자료모델에 포함된 제품관점(Product View)은 설계와 제품구조를 공유하여 다양한 대안을 해석하고, 그 결과를 손쉽게 설계로 전달할 수 있는 독립적 CAE 활동을 보장한다. 제안된 모델을 검증하기 위하여 제품개발 프로세스와 통합된 CAE 활동을 지원하는 PLM 시제품을 개발하였다.

  • In this paper, the relationship between system engineering lifecycle and safety lifecycle is investigated. V diagram and IEC 61508 model are represented in the lifecycle model. V diagram easily shows the flow of information between phases. But it does not show the amount of work involved in each stage. IEC 61508 model describes the activities to be performed during each phase of the lifecycle. And also the causal-consequence analysis for the level crossing is presented Representing this analysis procedure, we are try to establish safety of level crossing.

The ISDF Framework: Towards Secure Software Development

  • The rapid growth of communication and globalization has changed the software engineering process. Security has become a crucial component of any software system. However, software developers often lack the knowledge and skills needed to develop secure software. Clearly, the creation of secure software requires more than simply mandating the use of a secure software development lifecycle; the components produced by each stage of the lifecycle must be correctly implemented for the resulting system to achieve its intended goals. This study demonstrates that a more effective approach to the development of secure software can result from the integration of carefully selected security patterns into appropriate stages of the software development lifecycle to ensure that security designs are correctly implemented. The goal of this study is to provide developers with an Integrated Security Development Framework (ISDF) that can assist them in building more secure software.

시스템엔지니어링을 적용한 ISEP 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of the ISEP Based on Systems Engineering)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to propose an Integrated Safety Evaluation Process (ISEP) that can enhances the safety aspect of the safety-critical system. This process utilizes the advantages of the iterative Systems Engineering process combined with the safety assessment process that is commonly and well defined in many standards and/or guidelines for railway, aerospace, and other safety-critical systems. Methods: The proposed process model is based on the predefined system lifecycle, in each phase of which the appropriate safety assessment activities and the safety data are identified. The interfaces between Systems Engineering process and the safety assessment process are identified before the two processes are integrated. For the integration, the elements at lower level of Systems Engineering process are combined with the relevant elements of safety assessment process. This combined process model is represented as Enhanced Functional Flow Block Diagram (EFFBD) by using CORE(R) that is commercial modelling tool. Results: The proposed model is applied to the lifecycle and management process of the United States aircraft system. The US aircraft systems engineering process are composed of twelve key elements, among which the requirements management, functional analysis, and Synthesis processes are considered for examplenary application of the proposed process. To synchronize the Systems Engineering process and the safety assessment process, the Systems Engineering milestones are utilized, where the US aircraft system has thirteen milestones. Taking into account of the nine steps in the maturity level, the integrated process models are proposed in some phases of lifecycle. The flows of processes are simulated using CORE(R), confirming the flows are timelined without any conflict between the Systems Engineering process and the safety assessment process. Conclusion: ISEP allows the timeline analysis for identifying activity and data flows. Also, the use of CORE(R) is shown to be effective in the management and change of process data, which helps for the ISEP to apply for the development of safety critical system. In this study, only the first few phases of lifecyle are considered, however, the implementation through operation phases can be revised by combining the elements of safety activities regarding those phases.
