The issues that we should consider in the process of providing mobile web service using a mobile device are seamless service and QoS-guaranteed service. HMIPv6 has MAP because of improving packet loss and transmission delay due to disconnection. However, a load is concentrated on HMIPv6 because of receiving and delivering packet for MN. Owing to this, real time data fails to be processed quickly, and also adaptive mobile service is required for QoS guaranteed service. However, this method demands the response time cost of contents service owing to the hardware differences of various devices. Therefore, we improve the process performance of real time data by applying a queue in MAP for seamless service in this paper. For decreasing response time cost, we propose mobile web service method which has reusable cache of contents using the elements of contents. The result of a numerical formula and simulation shows that our proposed method is superior under various system conditions.

In this paper, we propose a video streaming server that guarantees a certain level of quality when a server should serve video streaming service to multiple heterogenous clients simultaneously with TCP transport. If each heterogeneous client requests video streaming service in according to its own requirement such as bitrate of content and these requests are accepted by a server, then TCP flows for each video streaming session fairly share limited uplink bandwidth of the server. At this time, because TCP's bandwidth fair-share characteristics can result in bandwidth shrinkage of higher bitrate video streaming session, the client of higher bitrate video may suffer sluggish playback which is related with streaming QoS degradation. To tackle this problem, our proposed server system uses multiple TCP connections adaptively for each video streaming session depending on the anticipated status of the client playout buffer. Simulation results show that our proposed algorithm can successfully reduce the occurrence of playout buffer underrun and enhance streaming quality for whole video clients.
As North Korea has a sufficient ability to attack our society's vulnerable computer network, various large-scale cyber attacks are expected to be tried. North Korea's cyber military strength is known a world-class level. The number of its cyber agents is increasing consistently. Recently North Korea's cyber attack has been made regardless of trick and target. But up to now North Korea's cyber attack is more of an exploration than a real attack. Its purpose was to check how fast Korea found a problem and recovered from it. In future, cyber attack that damages substantially is highly probable. In case of an attack against national infrastructure like traffic, financial and energy services, the extent of the damage will be great beyond imagination. In this paper, characteristics of recent North Korea's cyber attack is addressed in depth and countermeasures such as the enactment of cyber terror prevention law, simulation training enforcement, private and public cooperation system construction, cyber security infrastructure expansion, etc. are proposed.

Traffic volume increases according to highway expansion and industrial development which causes repetitive defect and durability degradation on pavement. The research of quality assurance system used abroad has introduced Korea. Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) has developed a Quality Performance Index (QPI) that quantitatively assesses the level of quality of the final product, and practical applications. Assessment factor on concrete pavement consisted of pavement thickness, compressive strength, IRI and spacing factor. Assessment factor on concrete pavement is determined by empirical evaluation factor from abroad. In this study, analysis of evaluation factors of concrete pavement by using pavement life prediction simulation and measured data were evaluated with consideration of feasibility of the assessment factor. Pavement life, performance and durability are affected by pavement thickness, compressive strength, IRI and spacing factor in assessment factor on concrete pavement, QPI.
In the remote sensing researches, the reflected bright source such as snow, cloud have effects on the image quality of wanted signal. Even though those signal from bright source are adjusted in corresponding pixel level with atmospheric correction algorithm or radiometric correction, those can be problem to the nearby signal as one of the stray light source. Especially, in the step and stare observational method which makes one mosaic image with several snap shots, one of target area can affect next to the other snap shot each other. Presented in this paper focused on the stray light analysis from unwanted reflected bright source for geostationary ocean color sensor. The stray light effect for total 16 slot images each other were performed according to 8 band filters. For the realistic simulation, we constructed system modeling with integrated ray tracing technique which realizes the same space time in the remote sensing observation among the Sun, the Earth, and the satellite. Computed stray light effect in the results of paper demonstrates the distinguishable radiance value at the specific time and space.
We propose an efficient MR image compression technique using fractal coding in wavelet transform domain. In the Proposed method , we construct significant coefficient trees with the absolute values of discrete wavelet transform coefficients and then perform the fractal coding with the information of significant coefficients having high energy. For MR images, most Pixels including background have very low gray level values, the number of significant coefficients is small. so we can expect high compression rate. In addition. since this method uses the fractal coding in wavelet transform domain, blocking artifact is reduced prominently and edges sensitive to human visual system are well preserved. As a result of computer simulation, we obtained the reconstructed images with better quality than those by JPEG at the low bit rates below 0.33[bpp].

GPS has been increasingly exploited to provide positioning and navigation solutions for a variety of applications. In vessel berthing application, however, there are stringent requirements in terms of positioning accuracy, availability and integrity that cannot be satisfied by GPS alone. This is because the performance of satellite-based positioning and navigation systems are heavily dependent on both the number and the geometric distribution of satellite tracked by receivers. Due to the limited number of GPS satellites, a sufficient number of ‘visible’ satellites cannot be sometimes guaranteed. This paper discusses some issues associated with the implementation of ground-based pseudolite augmentation for vessel berthing. Pseudolite means small transmitter that transmits GPS-like signals in local area. Actually, pseudolite can play three different roles in GPS augmentation scheme, depending on the operational conditions. Firstly, in the case of kinematic GPS operation where there are no signal blockages, and more than five satellites are available, additional pseudolites strengthen the GPS satellite-pseudolite geometry, and more accurate and reliable positioning solution can be achieved. Secondly, in the case when there are adverse GPS operational environments in which the number of tracked satellites is less than four, pseudolites can complement the GPS signals. In the third case, GPS signals are completely unavailable, such as when operated indoor. In such cases the pseudolites can replace the satellite constellation. However, the first role will be considered in this paper, since more than four satellite signals can usually be tracked in most marine applications. This paper presents that the pseudolite-augmented precise positioning system can provides continuous centimeter-level positioning accuracy through comparison analysis of RDOP simulation result of the GPS satellite constellation and the pseudolite-augmented GPS satellite constellation.

Recently, researches about the communication between LED array and the camera (alias 'Visual-MIMO'), have been actively conducted, and the application to the vehicle and a smart phone is expected to be maximized. Since the bit error may occur if the ISI is severe in a LED array, it is necessary to switch from the multiplexing to the diversity mode. In this paper, according to the use or not of a reference array pattern, a method for determining the transition time to the diversity mode is suggested and verified. When using the reference pattern, it determines the transition time to the diversity mode from the multiplexing using the brightness information of the received image. If the reference array pattern is not used, the size of LED array compared to the entire image according to the distance is used and the size of the LED array at the distance of a severe ISI may be used for the determination of transition time to the diversity. Finally, the proposed method is verified through the simulation and hardware experiments as well as by analyzing the performance in accordance with the ISI level and the distance.
We observe simultaneous transmission of relay stations (RSs) allowed in current IEEE 802.16j draft standard for multi-hop relay networks may involve severe interference among the RSs, hence leading to throughput degradation. Allowing only 1/3 of the RSs to simultaneously transmit instead of 1/2 RSs as in the current draft standard reduces the interference but results in reduced throughput. To remedy this problem, we devise schemes to incorporate network coding at link-layer level (decode-and-forward) into the simultaneous transmission of RSs. Data movement is rearranged to maximize coding gain. Formula is derived to dictate exact movement of packets traveling between base station (BS) and mobile stations (MSs) via intermediate RSs. The frame structure in the current IEEE 802.16j draft standard does not allow broadcast needed for network coding. We devise a new frame structure which supports the broadcast. A new R-MAP (pointers to the burst data) is introduced to implement the broadcast. Since our new frame structure is used only for BS to RS or RS to RS communication, our schemes retain backward compatibility with legacy MSs based on IEEE 802.16e standard. Simulation based on simple configuration of RSs shows considerable improvement in terms of system throughput and round trip delay. For a 4-hop relay network with 1 BS and 4 RSs with symmetric traffic in uplink (UL) and downlink (DL), throughput is improved by 49% in DL and by 84% in UL traffic compared with IEEE 802.16j draft standard under the assumption that omni-directional antennae are used in BS and RSs.
This paper describes a heuristic search technique carrying out collision avoidance for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles(AUVs). Fuzzy relational products are used as the mathematical implement for the analysis and synthesis of relations between obstacles that are met in the navigation environment and available candidate nodes. In this paper, we propose a more effective evaluation function that reflects the heuristic information of domain experts on obstacle clearance, and an advanced heuristic search method performing collision avoidance for AUVs. The search technique adopts fuzzy relational products to conduct path-planning of intelligent navigation system. In order to verify the performance of proposed heuristic search, it is compared with $A^*$ search method through simulation in view of the CPU time, the optimization of path and the amount of memory usage.
