  • We consider a robust configuration problem of inertial sensors for inertial navigation system(INS). Fault detection and isolation(FDI) is necessary to improve reliability of the system. For FDI, there used to be more than three mutually orthogonal sensors and thus we have to consider configuration methods of sensors. Various studies in this area have been done, but the former results did not consider effect of uncertainty(misalignment, scale factor error) to determine the configuration of the sensors.   • In general, weapon system design/configuration data consist of system structure information which is linked to Part information, documents and drawings. For configuration management, version and revision control are necessary and access control of users to information should be managed for information security. Configuration data of weapon systems have various kinds of different meta data which are contained in the structure as well as attributes of parts and documents information. If neutral types of meta data models be used for building configuration management system, they can be applied to many different kinds of weapon systems with a little customization. In this paper, five meta data models are supposed and implementation results of them by using CBD(component based design) methodology are presented.

  • Configuration management plays a key role in systems engineering process for any project from earlier stage of development. It consists of five major activities, ie., configuration management planing, configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting and configuration verification and audit, and is essential to control system design development and operation throughout entire life cycle of the system development. And it is directly associated with other part of systems engineering management, ie., technical data management which provides traceability of important decisions and changes during development. In this paper, we describe how to apply CASE(Computer-aided Systems Engineering) tool-Cradle for the configuration management to achieve effectiveness of City Train Standard Specification Management process.

혼합 직렬형태 자동반송시스템의 설계 (Design of the Hybrid Tandem Configuration Automated Guided Vehicle Systems)

  • This paper is concerned about the hybrid tandem configuration as the design of the automated guided vehicle system(AGVs). The hybrid tandem configuration is that the manufacturing system is divided into several non-overlapping zones, workstations of each zone are linked by network configuration including loop. That is, the manufacturing system is divided into several non-overlapping small size networks, and at most two automated guided vehicles can be available in each network. The transit point is located at proper point between adjacent networks. The parts are transported to workstations in other network through the transit points. One of the objective functions in dividing into the hybrid tandem configuration is to minimize the maximum travel time of the divided networks, and other is to minimize the total travel distance of parts moved to workstations in other networks for the next processing. The model formulation is presented, and a numerical example is shown. Also, the performances of system for the hybrid tandem, tandem and network configuration are compared through the simulation. The results of this research will contribute to the development of material handling systems in the manufacturing system. Also, it will be applied in determining the transportation area of transportation vehicles and the number and size of the transportation fleet in the transportation problem of logistics management.

Configuration design of the trainset of a high-speed train using neural networks

  • Prediction of the top(service) speeds of high-speed trains and configuration design to trainset of them has been studied using the neural network system The traction system. The traction system of high-speed trains is composed of transformers, motor blocks, and traction motors of which locations and number in the trainset formation should be determine in the early stage of train conceptural design. Components of the traction system are the heaviest parts in a train so that it gives strong influence to the top speeds of high-speed trains. Prediction of the top speeds has been performed mainly with data associated with the traction system based on the frequently used neural network system-backpropagation. The neural network has been trained with the data of the high-speed trains such as TGV, ICE, and Shinkanse. Configuration design of the trainset determines the number of trains motor cars, traction motors, weights and power of trains. Configuration results from the neural network are more accurate if neural networks is trained with data of the same type of trains will be designed.

  • 지속적으로 변경되는 소프트웨어 산출물들의 변경 이력과 의존 관계를 추적하는 능력은 소프트웨어 시스템 개발 프로세스에서 확인 및 검증, 시험과 같은 품질관리 활동들을 지원하는 중요한 요소로 인식되고 있다. 일반적인 소프트웨어 형상관리 시스템들은 산출물에 대한 추적 정보를 형상관리 시스템 내에서만 제공하고 있으며 개인의 작업공간에서 발생한 개별적인 변경까지 추적하는 기능은 지원하지 못하고 있다. 본 연구를 통해 형상관리 시스템과 개인의 작업공간을 통합함으로써 형상항목에 대한 변경뿐만 아니라 개인의 작업공간에 존재하는 산출물들의 변경 이력까지 추적할 수 있도록 하였다. 더 나아가 소프트웨어 산출물들이 동시에 생성되어 하나의 형상항목에 포함되는 경우 이들 산출물들의 버전 링크를 식별함으로써 산출물들 사이의 의존 관계를 추적할 수 있도록 하였다. 형상관리 시스템과 개인 작업공간의 통합을 위해 형상항목의 수정버전(revision)을 작업공간에 존재하는 산출물들의 버전에 태그로 연결시켰으며, 통합 변경 과정에서 산출물들에 대한 변경 이력 및 의존 관계의 효율적인 추적이 가능하도록 하였다.

FAULT-TREE-BASED RISK ASSESSMENT FOR DYNAMIC CONDITION CHANGES

  • In order to apply a static fault-tree (FT) method to a system or a plant whose configuration changes dynamically, condition gates and a post processing method are used to effectively accommodate these changes. An operator's performance change, which can be caused by these configuration changes, should also be considered to assess the risk to a plant in a more realistic manner. This study aims to develop an integrated framework to accommodate various configuration changes and their effect on an operator’s performance by using the FT model. We applied a condition-based human reliability assessment (CBHRA) method to consider various conditions endured by an operator. That is, we integrated the CBHRA method with the conventional post processing method for modeling the system configuration changes. The effect of the condition monitoring systems installed in a plant is also considered. In this study, we show an example application of the integrated framework to a probabilistic safety assessment for the shutdown phase of a nuclear power plant.

  • 본 연구에서는 이미, 선진국과 민수분야에서 적용하고 있는 PLM 시스템의 개념을 이해하고 PLM 시스템을 국방 형상관리에 적용하는 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 현 형상관리의 문제점을 도출하였고, PLM 시스템을 도입하고 이원화 된 시스템을 통합하여 형상관리의 효율성을 향상시키는 개선방안을 제시하였다.

  • Most of the surveillance systems are based on CCTV, closed circuit Television. A surveillance system for urban transit is also based on CCTV. Urban transit operation corporations have a CCTV system and a lot of cameras to monitor the situation for the passengers, and the important facilities. But this system has some problems that it cannot respond to a state of emergency immediately. In this paper, we describe a configuration of an intelligent surveillance system for urban transit to solve that problems. Our proposed configuration include a camera with some intelligent module, and a processor to integrate various data from not only cameras, but also sensors such as a temperature sensor, a heat sensor, sound sensor and etc. and some other data generator. This system configuration can decide the state of the passengers and the facilities. The surveillance system with this configuration can available with the existing surveillance system without a considerable improvement.

전문가 시스템을 이용한 공업용 재봉기 기구 메커니즘 구성설계 (The Configuration Design of Industrial Sewing Machine Kinematic Mechanism with Expert System)

  • 본 논문에서는 공업용 재봉기의 구성설계를 기능적 접근법을 이용하여 수행하였다. 구성설계 방법을 설계에 이용하면 제품의 개발시간을 줄일 수 있고, 기존의 기구 메커니즘 데이터를 효율적으로 이용할 수 있는데 이러한 구성설계를 구현하기 위해 전문가 시스템을 이용 하였다. 설계 구속조건은 전문가 시스템의 추론기능과 CBR(Case Based Reasoning) 방법을 사용하여 만족되도록 하였으며 전문가 시스템의 API 기능을 이용하여 기구해석과 최적설계가 외부 프로그램을 이용하여 수행됨으로서, 공업용 재봉기의 개념설계가 효율적으로 수행될 수 있도록 하였다.
