웹 서비스 기반 URC 로봇 원격 모니터링 기술의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Remote Monitoring Technology based-on Web-Service for URC Robot)

  • 본 논문에서는 웹 서비스 기술을 적용한 새로운 URC 로봇 원격 제어 및 모니터링 기법을 제안한다. URC 로봇은 유비쿼터스 환경에서 외부 세계와의 다양한 인터페이스를 지원하기 위하여 이 기종 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 플랫폼에 두루 적용될 수 있는 구조가 요구된다. 본 논문에서 웹 서비스 기술을 임베디드 환경에 최적화하고, 외부 응용 에이전트들과 상호 작용을 지원 할 수 있는 웹 서비스 기반의 로봇 원격 제어 방법을 설계 및 구현한다. 본 연구의 결과는 시뮬레이션을 거쳐 URC 로봇인 NETTORO에 탑재 및 운용하여 실용적 가치를 검증하였다.

  • The study is about the process of modernization of conventional rural houses in Kyung-gi province. It alms to identify the pattern of change, particularly focusing on the changes of the site plan and plan. The site of study is Samga Village, in YongIn County, near Seoul. The study discusses the process of modernization during the three decades from 1960 to 1980. The basic information was obtained through field research and site analysis, and the study relies predominatly on observational and statistical analysis. Four developmental stages can be clearly identified which are ; (1) Traditional type, (2)Modified-traditional type, (3) Saemaul type, and (4) The type of urban houses. The analysis was done through identification of changing site plan and plan. It is interesting to note that the changes of these elements show a certain pattern of sequential steps which also can be classified according to the four developmental stages mentioned above. The pattern of site design was consistantly maintained while plan and building system became very different However, the process of modernization of Korean rural houses was the process of producing a certain type of architecture that is not universal but uniquely Korean.

  • GALS(Globally-Asynchronous Locally-Synchronous) 시스템은 대규모의 칩 설계 시에 설계의 용이성과 신뢰성을 확보할 수 있는 구조로 주목 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 GALS 시스템에 필수적인 비동기 접속장치를 제안한다. 접속 장치는 크게 센더 모듈과 리시버 모듈로 구성되어 있으며, 센더 모듈에서는 부분적으로 내부 클록과는 무관하게 데이터 전송이 가능하다. 0.25um 공정의 게이트 레벨 표준 셀 라이브러리를 사용하여 설계하였고, 성능 향상 정도를 시뮬레이션을 통하여 예측할 수 있었다. 마지막으로, 접속장치를 장착한 GALS 구조의 예제 회로를 설계하여 올바르게 동작함을 확인하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to generate implications for the Green Building Certification System(GBCS) for detached houses, by comparing LEED for homes. Detached houses were added to the GBCS and took an effect this year. They are evaluated by the GBCS under special conditions, because they are designed by small architectural offices with limited budget. In this respect, this paper points out the problems of the GBCS for these detached houses and highlights some areas to be improved. As the first step, the definition of sustainable building and the design method of green building were investigated. By doing so, this study acknowledges the potential analysis methods in making valid comparisons with LEED for homes. Secondly, this study makes a comparative analysis of the GBCS for detached houses and the GBCS for apartment houses, LEED for New Construction(NC) and LEED for houses. Lastly, it identifies the problems and suggests better ways to improve the GBCS for detached houses through integrated analysis of the GBCS and LEED.

  • As with the January 2005 amendment of the Act on Private Participation in Infrastructure, schools are now included in the scope of privately-funded infrastructure projects. According to the announcement made by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in 2007, a total of 1.1 billion-won stimulus package has been proposed and is being implemented to operate private investments in social infrastructure helping to secure sufficient educational facilities for a period of five years from 2005 to 2010. Private participation offers first-priority infrastructure in a timely manner, raises efficiency with creative project conception and design, and stimulates economy by tapping into unemployed fund. This study limited its scope to new school construction projects in Gyeonggi Province which have been implemented via BTL system since January 2005. And using field-inspection and interview techniques, the study proposed improvement schemes applicable to the field. The results will be fully incorporated into new school construction projects to be carried out in the future, to help build creative learning space-student-oriented quality structures-where in Korea's leaders of the 21st century knowledge-based society will be educated.

Unified equivalent frame method for flat plate slab structures under combined gravity and lateral loads - Part 2: verification

  • In the previous paper, authors proposed the unified equivalent frame method (UEFM) for the lateral behavior analysis of the flat plate structure subjected to the combined gravity and lateral loads, in which the rotations of torsional members were distributed to the equivalent column and the equivalent slab according to the relative ratio of gravity and lateral loads. In this paper, the lateral behavior of the multi-span flat plate structures under various levels of combined gravity and lateral loads were analyzed by the proposed UEFM, which were compared with test results as well as those estimated by existing models. In addition, to consider the stiffness degradation of the flat plate system after cracking, the stiffness reduction factors for torsional members were derived from the test results of the interior and exterior slab-column connection specimens, based on which the simplified nonlinear push-over analysis method for flat plate structures was proposed. The simplified nonlinear analysis method provided good agreements with test results and is considered to be very useful for the practical design of the flat plate structures under the combined gravity and lateral loads.

저 전력 아키텍처를 위한 상위 레벨 데이터 패스 할당 알고리즘 (A High-Level Data Path Allocation Algorithm for Low Power Architecture)

  • 본 논문은 상위 레벨 합성에서의 레지스터와 자원 할당 과정의 스위치 동작 최소화를 통한 저 전력 데이터 패스 할당 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 스케줄링된 CDFG를 입력으로 할당 과정에서 전력 최소화를 수행한다. 알고리즘은 레지스터 할당과 자원 할당 과정을 나누어 수행한다. 레지스터 할당 알고리즘은 기능 장치내의 불필요한 스위칭 동작을 제거하고 멀티플렉서의 수를 최소화한다. 자원 할당 과정은 스위칭 동작을 최소화할 수 있는 연산자의 순서를 선택한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 알고리즘과 genesis-lp 상위 레벨 합성시스템을 벤치마크를 이용한 비교 실험결과 평균 15.3%의 전력 감소효과가 있다.

강 압축부재의 단면 항복에 따른 접선탄성계수 고찰 (A Review on the Tangent Modulus of Elasticity Associated With Partially Yielded Section of Steel Member Under Axially Compressed)

  • This study suggests the tangent modulus $E_t$ associated with partially yielded section of steel member under axially compressed. The provisions for column strength does not provide a information about failure mode of structural system. So, designers can not evaluate that a failure comes from member buckling or material yielding. The material of the axially compressed column under inelastic behavior reaches yielding point before the axial force renders the column bent. If axial members yields not by buckling effect but gradually yielding effect of material, the design code should accept related tangent modulus Et which is based on gradual yielding effect of material. This study provides the new effective tangent modulus $E_t$ derived in the case that residual stress is 30 percent and 50 percent of yielding stress respectively. The study considers idealized I section of steel which ignores web and general I section of steel with web respectively and makes conclude that tangent modulus $E_t$ with idealized I section of steel is rational.

  • WIG crafts are a high speed vessel with features of dynamic supported craft. These crafts, which are predominantly of light weight and operate any substantially greater speeds than conventional craft such as bulk carrier, tanker, container ship, etc., could not be accommodated under traditional maritime safety instruments. It means that there is the need for risk and safety levels to be assessed on a holistic basis, recognizing that high levels of operator training, comprehensive and thoroughly implemented procedures, high levels of automation and sophisticated software can all make significant contributions to risk reduction. To response this requirement, the Interim Guideline for WIG craft(MSC/Circ.1054) were developed in the view of the configuration of WIG craft, which fall between the maritime and aviation regulatory regimes. This paper reviews a safety assessment process and methodology to be used in the design phase of a new ship. The process and methodology is based on the risk-based approach and is applied to safety assessment in concept development phase of small WIG craft in the 20-person class.

Evaluation of Geo-based Image Fusion on Mobile Cloud Environment using Histogram Similarity Analysis

  • Mobility and cloud platform have become the dominant paradigm to develop web services dealing with huge and diverse digital contents for scientific solution or engineering application. These two trends are technically combined into mobile cloud computing environment taking beneficial points from each. The intention of this study is to design and implement a mobile cloud application for remotely sensed image fusion for the further practical geo-based mobile services. In this implementation, the system architecture consists of two parts: mobile web client and cloud application server. Mobile web client is for user interface regarding image fusion application processing and image visualization and for mobile web service of data listing and browsing. Cloud application server works on OpenStack, open source cloud platform. In this part, three server instances are generated as web server instance, tiling server instance, and fusion server instance. With metadata browsing of the processing data, image fusion by Bayesian approach is performed using functions within Orfeo Toolbox (OTB), open source remote sensing library. In addition, similarity of fused images with respect to input image set is estimated by histogram distance metrics. This result can be used as the reference criterion for user parameter choice on Bayesian image fusion. It is thought that the implementation strategy for mobile cloud application based on full open sources provides good points for a mobile service supporting specific remote sensing functions, besides image fusion schemes, by user demands to expand remote sensing application fields.
