컬러 정보와 퍼지 C-means 알고리즘을 이용한 주차관리시스템 개발 (Developments of Parking Control System Using Color Information and Fuzzy C-menas Algorithm)

  • 본 논문에서는 컬러 정보와 퍼지 c-means 알고리즘을 이용한 차량 번호판 인식 방법을 제안하고 차량 번호판 인식을 이용한 주차관리시스템 개발에 대해서 기술한다 컬러 정보와 퍼지 c-means알고리즘을 이용한 차량 번호판 인식 기술은 차량의 영상에서 번호판을 추출하는 부분과 추출한 번호판 영역에서 문자를 인식하는 부분으로 구성된다 본 논문에서는 최빈수 평활화를 이용하여 차량 영상에서 녹색 잡음을 제거하고 RGB컬러에서 녹색 정보와 횐색 정보를 이용하여 번호판 영역을 추출하였다. 추출된 번호판 영역의 코드들은 히스토그램 방법을 이용하여 추출하였고 FCM(Fuzzy c-means) 알고리즘을 이용하여 차량 번호판을 인식하였다. 80개의 실제 차량 영상을 대상으로 실험한 결과는 제안된 번호판 영역 추출 방법이 기존의 RGB정보를 이용한 방법과 HSI를 이용한 방법보다 추출율이 개선되었다 그리고 FCM 알고리즘을 이용한 차량 번호판 인식이 효율적인 것을 확인하였다. 실험을 통하여 성능 향상을 보인 제안된 차량 번호판 방법을 이용하여 주차관리시스템을 개발하였다.

국내외 연안구역관리(C.Z.M)의 특성 비교 (The Characteristics of Foreign and Domestic C.Z.M Cases)

  • 연안구역(Coastal Zone)은 “생태 환경적으로 통합된 장”으로 해역과 육역을 포함하는 통합된 공간이며 C.Z.M은 해안자원의 보전과 활용을 위하여 체계적이고 지속적으로 연안구역(Coastal Zone)을 통합 조정할 수 있는 실행 전략시스템이다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 외 C.Z.M을 사례로 운영과정에서 나타나는 메커니즘을 역할분담, 조정 및 협력, 참여 유도 차원에서 조사 분석하였다. 이를 통해 이 연구는 해안관리의 정책방향이 조화될 수 있도록 하는 평가체계 구축, 지속적 해안관리를 위한 안정적 지원체계 구축, 이해관계자의 협력을 도모하는 조정체계 구축, 관리역량 강화 및 참여유도를 위한 교육체계 구축 등을 선진사례의 공통된 관리특성으로 도출하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구는 국내외 연안구역관리의 메카니즘에 나타난 공통의 가치를 바탕으로, 지역차원에서 국내 연안구역(Coastal Zone)관리시스템을 올바르게 구축하기 위한 시사점을 제시하였다.

  • Advanced Real-Time Satellite Simulator(ARTSS) has been developed to support the telemetry, tracking and command operations of the ETRI satellite control system and to provide satellite engineers a more powerful and informative satellite simulations tool on the desktop. To provide extensive simulation functions for a communication satellite system in the pre-operational and operational missions, ARTSS uses a geosynchronous orbit(GEO) satellite model consisting of the attitude and orbit control subsystem, the power subsystem, the thermal subsystem, the telemetry, command and ranging subsystem, and the communications payload subsystem. In this paper, the system features and functions are presented and the satellite subsystem models are explained in detail.

노말헥산올과 파라자일렌 혼합물의 최소자연발화온도 측정 및 예측 (Measurement and Prediction of Autoignition Temperature of n-Hexanol+p-Xylene Mixture)

  • 최소자연발화온도는 가연성물질이 주위의 열에 의해 스스로 발화하는 최저온도이다. 최소자연발화온도는 유기혼합물중 가연성 액체혼합물의 안전한 취급을 위해서 중요한 지표가 된다. 본 연구에서는 ASTM E659 장치를 이용하여 가연성 혼합물인 n-hexanol+p-xylene 계의 최소자연발화온도를 측정하였다. 2성분계를 구성하는 순수물질인 n-hexanol과 p-xylene의 최소자연발화온도는 각 각 $275^{\circ}C$, $557^{\circ}C$로 측정되었다. 그리고 측정된 n-hexanol+p-xylene 계의 최소자연발화온도는 제시된 식에 의한 예측값과 적은 평균절대오차에서 일치하였다.

Digital Audio Effect System-on-a-Chip Based on Embedded DSP Core

  • This paper describes the implementation of a digital audio effect system-on-a-chip (SoC), which integrates an embedded digital signal processor (DSP) core, audio codec intellectual property, a number of peripheral blocks, and various audio effect algorithms. The audio effect SoC is developed using a software and hardware co-design method. In the design of the SoC, the embedded DSP and some dedicated hardware blocks are developed as a hardware design, while the audio effect algorithms are realized using a software centric method. Most of the audio effect algorithms are implemented using a C code with primitive functions that run on the embedded DSP, while the equalization effect, which requires a large amount of computation, is implemented using a dedicated hardware block with high flexibility. For the optimized implementation of audio effects, we exploit the primitive functions of the embedded DSP compiler, which is a very efficient way to reduce the code size and computation. The audio effect SoC was fabricated using a 0.18 ${\mu}m$ CMOS process and evaluated successfully on a real-time test board.

  • Healthcare is a research field suitable for applying the recent ubiquitous techniques. As a test system, we developed a kind of CDSS (Clinical Decision Support System) running in ubiquitous environment. called as 'uCDSS'. The uCDSS is a core system of the ubiquitous healthcare and is composed of some 'uMLMs(Ubiquitous Medical Logic Modules)'. The uMLMs based on the class in C# programming language could be reused in development of CDSS, or another EHR system running in .NET environment. As a test system, we developed the DM(Diabetes Mellitus knowledge system using ASP.NET. This system shows the potential of C# class-based uMLMs and the extensibility to any .NET development project.

교류-직류 계통의 안정화를 위한 $H_{\infty}$제어기 설계 (A Design of $H_{\infty}$ Controller for the Stabilization of A.C. -D.C. Power Systems)

  • In this paper, a robust $H_{\infty}$ controller, based on the Riccati equation approach, is proposed for HVDC power system with parametric uncertainties. Bounds of power system parametric uncertainties are included in Riccati equation to improve the robustness of controller. The proposed $H_{\infty}$ controller for the stabilization of HVDC power system can ensure that the overall system is asymptotically stable for all admissible uncertainties. Simulation results show that the proposed $H_{\infty}$ controller can achieve good performance in presence of uncertainties of power system.

  • In this study, the performance of the simultaneous heating & cooling water making system using R134a was investigated by simulation. The most important effect upon heating COP was intermediate pressure depending on input water temperature. With the input water temperature of $10^{\circ}C\;and\;20^{\circ}C$, optimum intermediate pressure were 923 and 1040kPa, respectively. At that optimum intermediate pressure, the maximum heating COP of the system operated between $0^{\circ}C$ evaporating temperature and $70^{\circ}C$ condensing temperature were 4.15 and 3.83. With installation of the subcoolers in high or low pressure section, the system COP was increased by reducing the refrigerant mass flow rate. Under the optimum pressure and $10^{\circ}C$ input water temperature, it was found that heating COP was maximized when the low-subcooler and high-subcooler capacity rate were taken by 14% and 13%, respectively.

Landing Dynamic and Key Parameter Estimations of a Landing Mechanism to Asteroid with Soft Surface

  • It is of great significance to utilize a landing mechanism to explore an asteroid. A landing mechanism named ALISE (Asteroid Landing and In Situ Exploring) for asteroid with soft surface is presented. The landing dynamic in the first turning stage, which represents the landing performance of the landing mechanism, is built by a Lagrange equation. Three key parameters can be found influencing the landing performance: the retro-rocket thrust T, damping element damping $c_1$, and cardan element damping $c_2$. In this paper, the retro-rocket thrust T is solved with considering that the landing mechanism has no overturning in extreme landing conditions. The damping element damping c1 is solved by a simplified dynamic model. After solving the parameters T and $c_1$, the cardan element damping $c_2$ is calculated using the landing dynamic model, which is built by Lagrange equation. The validities of these three key parameters are tested by simulation. The results show a stable landing, when landing with the three estimated parameters T, $c_1$, and $c_2$. Therefore, the landing dynamic model and methods to estimate key parameters are reasonable, and are useful for guiding the design of the landing mechanism.

  • SiC materials have been extensively studied for high temperature components in advanced energy conversion system and advanced gas turbine. However, the brittle characteristics of SiC such as law fracture toughness and law strain-to fracture impose a severe limitation on the practical applications of SiC materials. SiC/SiC composites can be considered as a promising candidate in various structural materials, because of their good fracture toughness. In this composite system, the direction of SiC fiber will give an effect to the mechanical properties. It is therefore important to control a properdirection of SiC fiber for the fabrication of high performance SiC/SiC composites. In this study, unidirection and two dimension woven structures of SiC/SiC composites were prepared starting from Tyranno SA fiber. SiC matrix was obtained by nano-powder infiltration and transient eutectoid (NITE) process. Effect of microstructure and density on the sintering temperature in NITE-SiC/SiC composites are described and discussed with the fiber direction of unidirection and two dimension woven structures.
