레퍼토리 그리드 발전 수법을 적용한 건축물 외관 디자인 평가에 관한 연구 - 소규모 전시 건축물을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Evaluation of Building Exterior Design Applied to Repertory Grid Developmental Method - Focused on Small Exhibition Buildings -)

  • The problems with the small exhibition buildings such a small gallery and art center recently constructed did not make the characteristics of the place specifying and did not form a big flow in the line of urban connection. Also it was deficient in the image like a cultural space because of the commercial aspects of the individual buildings. According to this view, this study is to evaluate the exteriors of the small exhibition buildings that the public prefers on the psychological side as a design theory and then, it is to present the direction of desirable form constitution hereafter. In the design of the small exhibition buildings exterior that the public must prefers, the principles and techniques of constitution that operate are the most initiative as follows. As for the principles of unity in the constitution of the small exhibition buildings exterior that the public prefers, Eigen Value is 7.573 and the explanatory force takes 21.637% at the top and it plays a leading role. In the comparison of the appearance, it shows that it is a factor with the largest specific gravity. The next factors were grouped in good order: the balance, ornamental technique, change, shipping technique, rhythm, harmony, symbolic technique, area technique and adding technique. As a result, in the design of the small exhibition buildings exterior, the architects have to constitute the principles of balance, change, rhythm and harmony by most of the unity and the symbolic technique and form technique by most of the ornamental techniques harmoniously and have to give Identity like exhibition buildings.

An investigation and forecast on CO2 emission of China: Case studies of Beijing and Tianjin

  • $CO_2$ emission is increasingly focused by public. Beijing and Tianjin are conceived to be a new economic point of growth in China. However, both of them are suffering serious environmental stress. In order to seek for the effect of socioeconomic factors on the $CO_2$ emission of this region, a novel methodology -symbolic regression- is adopted to investigate the relationship between $CO_2$ emission and influential factors of Beijing and Tianjin. Based on this method, $CO_2$ emission models of Beijing and Tianjin are built respectively. The models results manifested that Beijing and Tianjin own different $CO_2$ emission indicators. The RMSE of models in Beijing and Tianjin are 255.39 and 603.99, respectively. Further analysis on indicators and forecast trend shows that $CO_2$ emission of Beijing expresses an inverted-U shaped curve, whilst Tianjin owns a monotonically increasing trend. From analytical results, it could be argued that the diversity rooted in different development orientation and the mixture of different natural and industrial environment. This research further expands the investigation on $CO_2$ emission of Beijing and Tianjin region, and can be used for reference in the study of carbon emissions in similar regions. Based on the investigation, several policy suggestions are presented.

애니메이선의 장면연출을 위한 공간디자인 : 단편애니메이션 의 제작사례를 중심으로 (Study about Set Design for Scene of Animation : Case of Short Animation )

  • 본 연구는 애니메이션 스튜디오 비욘드 프로시니움이 제작, 발표한 단편애니메이션 에서 사용된 공간 디자인을 연구의 대상으로 하고 있다. 애니메이션을 위한 공간 디자인은 작품 속에서 연기자(캐릭터)가 연기를 통해 작품의 이야기를 전달하기 위한 장(Playground)이라는 기본적인 기능이 있고 나아가 작품의 시간적, 공간적 배경을 설명하거나 작품속의 은유나 상징체계를 시각적으로 표현해주는 장치적인 기능이 있다. 이 같은 기능을 충족시키는 디자인 결과를 얻기 위해 본론에서는 개념적 측면으로 시나리오의 은유와 상징적 의미체계를 공간 디자인에 적용하는 경우를 분석하였다. 제작적인 측면으로는 캐릭터와 소품, 카메라를 통해 잡힌 화면 구성과 이 같은 요소들의 움직임에 따른 동선을 복합적으로 고려하는 방법에 대하여 살펴보았다. 애니메이션제작을 위한 공간디자이너는 깊이 있고 복합적인 사고를 할 수 있어야 하며 이를 실질적으로 구현 할 수 있는 기술적인 소양이 필요하다.

라캉의 정신분석학 개념으로 살펴 본 한국의 현대 벽화 (A Study on Contemporary Murals of Korea; in Lacan′s Psychoanalytic View)

  • 한국의 현대 벽화는 한국의 시각적 수위를 드러내는 하나의 지표이다. 본 논문의 첫째 장에서는 한국의 현대 벽화제작 시스템을 분석한 후, 둘째 장에서는 조선시대의 풍속화나 시각상징물을 재현한 벽화를 라캉의 정신분석학적 개념을 빌어 설명했다. 라캉의 연구 중 주종을 이루는 상상계와 상징계의 개념으로 한국적인 소재 재현의 심리적, 정신적 배경을 분석하는 방법을 취했다. 한국의 벽화가 보여주는 시각 현실은 과거조선 시대 공동체와의 상상적 동일시를 피하는 것이라는 논지로 전개되었으며, 이는 서구 중심의 상징계에서 생활하는 주체의 분열상, 허구적 의식을 암시하는 동시에 주체의 시지각에 혼란을 초래하는 요인이 되어 또 다시 상상계적 재현을 되풀이하는 것으로 결론지었다. 결론에서는 이러한 시각 혼란 현상을 극복하고 실재 생활을 표현하는 시각 양식의 개발을 위해서 한국인의 아비투스를 연구해서 그에 맞는 대안이 마련되어야 한다는 후속 연구의 방향을 제시하였다.

동.서양의 복식에 표현된 동물문양의 상징성에 관한 비교 연구 - 유교적 불교문화권과 그리스도교 문화권과의 비교를 중심으로 - (An analysis of symbols of animal patterns in oriental and occidental clothing - focusing on comparison of Buddhism- Confucianism and Christian cultural area -)

  • Patterns in clothing symbolize some specific meaning that differs across cultures and religions, although patterns have been mostly used to realize human desires to overcome natural hazards in every culture or religion. This research aims to compare animal patterns of Korea (Confucian/Buddhism culture) with those of Byzantine (Christian culture), based upon a research method of literature survey. It is found through the research that both cultures used common patterns, such as dragon, butterfly, bat, honeybee, peacock, fish, and chicken. In the case of dragon patterns, Korea used it to symbolize emperor, dignity, or authority, while Byzantine used it for devil. Bat patterns had different symbolic meanings in both cultures: they mean happiness, longevity, prosperity or many off-springs in Korea while they mean misfortune or unhappiness in Byzantine. On the other hand, the rest of animal patterns, including butterfly, honeybee, peacock, chicken, had quite a similar symbolic meaning. Butterfly means change of life or beginning of new life in Korea, whereas it means resurrection in Byzantine. Honeybee symbolizes diligence, order, and cooperation. Many animal patterns were used in both cultures at the same time. Another difference can be found in terms of the kind of animals; for example, Korea used wild goose, pheasant, giraffe, deer, mandarin duck & turtle, while Byzantine used eagle, snake, pigeon. Of course, each and every animal has its own meaning, mostly positive. Except dragons and bats, both cultures have a similar meaning in most of animal patterns. Generally speaking, Korea used imaginary animals to pray for human happiness, but Byzantine used real animals to pray for resurrections.

한국의 세계유산을 활용한 패션문화상품 개발 - 한글 글자꼴과 건축물을 중심으로 - (Development of fashion cultural products utilizing the World Heritage of Korea - Focusing on Hangeul font and architecture -)

  • As a plan for establishing Korea's cultural identity and its competitive edge in the world market and for enhancing Korea's cultural status, creative and unique high value-added cultural products need to be developed utilizing our inherent cultural assets. Accordingly, this study focused on the development of the design of fashion cultural products that utilize the convergence of Hangeul our peculiar font style and Korea's cultural heritage, which is registered as part of UNESCO's World Heritage. A design method was devised that converges archetypal images of cultural property with the unique Hangeul font in a way that targets Korea's symbolic architectures. The symbolic architecture includes Korea's world-heritage pagoda architecture, such as Seokgatap pagoda and Dabotap pagoda at Bulguksa temple. It also included the architecture of royal palace, such as Injeongjeon hall at Changdeokgung palace. Finally, it also included the architecture of the fortress wall, such as Paldalmun gate in Hwaseong fortress. Thus, by developing cultural assets made from a convergence between architecture and the Hangeul font as a consumer-product image that has universality, the possibility of cultural products was pursued by applying color planning after an analysis that involved extracting the compositional colors of the flags of the world. This research and approach will lead to opportunities for further progress for Korea's cultural products in the global market as a results of additional recognition for their value, excellence, and universal appeal.

감성 요소 분석을 통한 소비자 니즈의 구조화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Structuralization of Consumer Needs by Analysing Emotional Factors)

  • 생산 기술의 발전과 함께, 날로 다양해지고 복잡해져 가는 소비자의 니즈를 제품 개발 과정에서 반영해야 할 필요성이 점차 높아져 가고 있다. 그러나, 마케팅적 관점에 그 기초를 두고 구조화되고 있는 현재의 소비자 니즈 체계는 제품 개발 단계에서 응용하기에는 너무 추상적이고 범주적인 성격을 가진다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 인지과학/인지심리학 이론을 중심으로 하여, 제품 컨셉 수립 단계에서 실제적으로 응용할 수 있도록 소비자 니즈를 구조화하는 방법론을 수립하고, 니즈 구조화에 대한 가이드라인을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구를 통해 규명된 발견 점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기존의 분류 기준과 같이 소비자 니즈의 범주뿐 아니라 실제적인 니즈의 속성까지를 구조화하기 위해서는, 소비자에 대한 제품의 실제적 의미에 해당하는 감성 개념을 구조 내에 포함시켜야 한다. 또한, 이와 같은 개념 하에 수립된 니즈 구조를 감성 니즈 구조라고 정의할 수 있다. 둘째, 개념의 범주화는 상징적 개념을 중심으로 한 본질적 개념과 외연적 개념의 결합을 통하여 이루어질 수 있다. 이러한 가설을 바탕으로 하면, 감성 니즈 구조는 가치 컨셉(본질적 개념), 소비자 니즈(외연적 개념)가 감성(상징적 개념)과 결합함으로써 이루어질 수 있다.

  • 소프트웨어 테스팅이 소프트웨어 개발 비용의 상당 부분을 차지하는 것은 잘 알려진 사실이다. 소프트웨어 테스팅 비용을 줄이기 위해 소프트웨어 테스트 데이터를 자동으로 생성하는 방법에 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 일반적으로 테스트 데이터 자동 생성을 지원하기 위해 심볼릭 실행기나 제약 해결기와 같은 정교한 도구들을 요구한다. 그러나 이와 같은 도구들을 개발하거나 구입하는 것은 소프트웨어 테스트 관련 비용을 증가시키는 또 다른 요소로 작용된다. 이 논문에서는 심볼릭 실행이나 제약 해결에 의존되지 않는 동적 테스트 데이터 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방식은 분기 커버리지 기준을 효과적으로 만족하도록 Korel의 경로 지향 테스트 데이터 생성 방법을 확장한다. 이 논문에서는 삼각형 분류 프로그램에 대한 실험을 통하여 제안된 방법이 분기 커버리지를 매우 효과적으로 달성함을 보인다.

라깡의 시지각 예술이론에 의한 영화의 롱 테이크 기법과 건축 공간의 연속성 비교 (The Comparison of the Long-Take Technique of Cinemas and the Continuity of Architectural Space Based on Lacan's Visual-Art Theory)

  • This study aims at establishing a basic theory for the combination of architecture and movies by comparing the long-take technique of movies and the continuity of space, one of space composition principles, which is important in digital architecture based on Jacques Lacan's visual-art theory and finding common features and differences of them. The following is a summary of the conclusions. First, analyzing the long-take technique on the basis of Lacan's visual-art theory found that the subject of representation is scenes of movies and that staring shows features of narrative. Second, the long-take technique can be thought as a cinematic technique which tries to realize the real order beyond the symbolic order in real life through the process of continuous replication of replication of replication of a scene in one shot. Third, in contemporary architecture, which is compared to the long-take technique in the past, the inclined space of opened gaze is similar to the method which tries to realize architectural space of the reality which belongs to the symbolic order close to the real order which belong to significant in human unconsciousness. Fourth, the freeform continuous space of closed gaze, which can be compared to contemporary long take combined with computer graphic technology, has more difficulty in realizing the real order than the long-take technique in the past and inclined, continuous space as the feature which belongs to $signifi{\acute{e}}$ in human consciousness has been strengthened through the circulation which repeats and expands along an observer's movement. Fifth, when the contemporary long-take technique and freeform continuous space expand gaze which opens from the inside to the outside, it is considered that the space which is closer to the real order than the classic long-take technique and inclined continuous space can be created.

Louis I. Kahn의 미술관 건축에 나타난 평면구성에 관한 연구 - Yale University Art Gallery Extension을 중심으로 - (Plan Composition Expressed in the Architecture of Art Gallery Designed by Louis I. Kahn - Focus on the Yale University Art Gallery Extension -)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the compositional elements of plan of art museums by selecting architectural works, which have strong symbolic meaning when evaluating value, from architectural works by Louis Kahn. First, the centrality of artworks, which are being displayed at the Yale Art Gallery, is complex. It includes three patterns of Void (spatial) Centrality+Symbolic Centrality+Functional Centrality among the five patterns suggested in this study. Second, the ratio system of interior space, which is expressed in the extension of the Yale Art Gallery, can be classified into the floor and walls. The floor used the square 1:1 ratio system. The ceiling used the grid patterns of equilateral triangles (regular tetrahedrons). It was applying a geometric ratio system when creating forms by using one side as a beam and the other sides as decorations of the ceiling. Third, the contours of interior space, which were expressed in Kahn's works, used the method of forming separate space according to the contouring rule (structural unit) defined by columns, and they were used in constructing the entire space through the integration of separate spaces. Fourth, according to the characteristics that were expressed by artworks displayed within the Yale Art Gallery Extension, the concept of accessibility was not as clear as that of residential buildings, because an approach of respecting existing architecture and context was used, rather than the starting point of interior space, or differentiated circulation, which has the function of a determined position.
