환경디자인과 인지생태론 (Environmental Design and Cognitive Ecology)

  • Recently, there are getting popular form generation-related design methodologies and scientific discourses about the nature of nature in the environmental design. The necessity of visual perception and cognitive research is growing in this respect. Accordingly, this study was designed to discuss environmental design and cognition in the ecological perspective. This study was intended to study the structural factors of cognitive ecological space. This study focused on the systematic principle of new environmental design based on cognitive ecological approaches and what kinds of design effects this design principle has on the human being in the long nm. The results are as follows. First, the results suggests that fractal pattern should be an alternative to design cognitive ecological space and new paradigm of architecture is based on the nature of nature and human sensibility. Accordingly, they have proposed that fractal design is more empirical and environment-friendly than rational linear design. Second, this study classified the variables of cognitive ecological space into nature, tradition, preference judgement, aesthetic value, and schema. Accordingly, such features as symbol, tradition, and nature restricted by modernistic ideology should be added to new paradigm-based environmental design. Third, accordingly, this study stresses that cognitive ecological environmental design doesn't include buildings of modernism and deconstruction and is based on new science of complexity.

문화적 상징기호로서의 지폐 디자인 연구 - 세계 11개국 사례비교를 중심으로 - (A Study on Paper Currencies Design as Cultural Symbols -Focus on Case Studies from Eleven Nations-)

  • 지폐는 물물교환, 가치척도의 도구일 뿐만 아니라 한 국가의 정체성을 나타내는 문화적 상징 기호라 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 세계 선진국과 우리나라 지폐를 대상으로 디자인 특성을 분석하고, 문화코드로서 각국의 지폐 디자인에 나타난 국가 이미지 특성을 비교 분석하고자 한다. 연구결과 첫째, 지폐 디자인의 사용성 측면을 권종 수, 크기유형, 색상, 점자체계의 항목으로 평가하였으며, 스위스의 지폐와 유로화가 상대적으로 우수한 것으로 평가되었다. 둘째, 지폐 디자인에 표현된 이미지 유형은 우리나라를 비롯한 미국, 일본 등의 국가는 국가 체제 구축에 공헌한 인물을 주요 소재로 등장시켜 '국가주도형' 문화를 나타낸다. 반면에 유럽 국가는 예술가와 과학자, 그리고 여성 인물 등을 주요 소재로 선정하여 남녀평등의식이 반영, '시민문화 주도형'임을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 스위스, 네덜란드, 프랑스, 영국 등의 지폐는 작품형 소재를 사용하고, 화려한 색채, 컴퓨터그래픽 표현기법, 개성적인 구성 등으로 지폐 디자인을 하나의 시각 예술작품으로 표현하고 있다. 본 연구는 세계적 맥락에서 우리나라 지폐디자인의 현주소를 진단해보고자 하였으며 이로써 새로운 지폐 디자인 연구를 위한 자료로 활용될 수 있기를 기대한다. 또한, 문화 디자인의 관점에서 각 나라의 국가 이미지를 상징하는 주요 매체로서 지폐 디자인의 중요성을 다시 한번 인식시키고자 하는데 의의를 갖는다.

시민의식조사를 통한 도시 야간경관디자인 컨셉 표현 (The Expression of Design Concept on Night Landscape through the Citizen-Minded Survey)

  • Light was the symbol of the city's prosperity and culture. People can walk around the city at the night time with safe. Now light is used with beauty and function at the same time. This study is the example how to draw the lighting design concept in specific city and district based on the citizen-minded survey. The citizen-minded survey makes a new chance taking the goodness and characteristics from local city specially and select the site for applying the specific opinion and requirement in the city. The expression of design concept on night landscape design gives the fresh image to the city during the night time. Because people feel the free and dynamic mood in the night landscape lighting, it is very important to set and express the design concept on night landscape design. The result of this study was applied in the Daegu city. In particular, the distribution complex's night landscape lighting in the Daegu was designed with specific concept expression from the citizen-minded survey. Making and expressing the design concept on night landscape design is basic for unity and diversity in the city.

신.구요소의 관계유형 분석에 의한 컨버전디자인의 전략과 그 특성 (A Study on Traits and Relation Type of Old and New with Design strategy of Conversion Design)

  • Regeneration of old buildings is one of the most imperative responses to the 21th century issue of sustainable urban architectural environment. In particular, creative circulation of generation which conversion means highlights the conversion as a new design method. In this study, by examining buildings built over the last decade, the mutual relationship between old elements of existing buildings and new elements of newly required functions was analyzed and types of relationships such as 'alien insertion', 'mediate intervention', 'endogenous expansional enveloping', 'contrastive confliction' and 'over-layering' were defined. In addition, design strategies including the paradoxical curio, fore-grounding and unification were derived from each relationship. Finally, according to the relation type and design strategy, this study suggests several features of conversion design; (1) maximization of symbolism using unfamiliarities - emphasizing futuristic or contextual symbol with intentional contrasts by preserving the work or using contemporary addition; (2) time confusion using neutral space - meeting the need by harmonizing and cooperating existing elements and new elements; (3) mutual emphasizing by individualization - revealing differences between old and new for an aesthetical tension; (4) synchronism by constructional combination - making the one unity of different layers; (5) expansion by enveloping - experience of visual reverse and creation of extra space by roofing above building groups. The reconversion should be continuously researched in the future since conversion is a sustainable design method for the future of architecture.

  • 본 논문은 FLEX 디코더에서 필요한 심볼 클럭을 생성하기 위한 심볼 동기 알고리즘을 제안하고, 제안한 알고리즘을 기본으로 한 심볼을 동기회로의 설계에 관한 것이다. 제안한 알고리즘은 조-만 게이트 동기 (ELGS:Early-Late Gate Synchronization)기법을 이용하고 있다. VHDL(VHSIC Hardware Description Language)로 설계된 심볼 동기회로는 Synopsys 툴을 이용하여 기능레벨의 시뮬레이션을 수행하였고, Altera MAX+plus II를 이용하여 타이밍 분석을 수행하였다. 실험 결과로부터 Source unit와 FLEX 디스코더와의 시스템 동기가 정확히 이루어짐을 확인하였다.

  • This study addresses basic requirements for mathematical programming software, discusses considerations in designing these software, implementation issues facing in these types of applications development, and shows some examples of codes being developed in the course. This type of projects requires long and ever-changing evolutionary phases. The experience is therefore, valuaable in suggesting some useful hints which may be salvaged for similar projects as well as providing reusable codes. In particular, scanning and parsing the free-format inputs, symbol table management, mixed-language programming, and data structures dealing with large sparse matrices are indispensable to many management science software development. Extensions to be made are also discussed.

  • 연속간행물 입수에서부터 서가배가에 이르기까지 프로세스 흐름에서 체크인 업무는 연속간행물 관리시스템의 기반이 되는 업무이다. 기존의 체크인 담당자는 자료가 입수되면 수작업을 통해 입수자료에 대한 검색을 한후 권호명을 식별해야 하는 자료검색에 대한 부담과, 유사한 서명을 지니고 있는 연속간행물에 체크인하는 오류를 범하는 문제점을 갖고 있었다. 따라서 체크인 업무의 신속성, 정확성, 신뢰성을 향상시키기 위해 SISAC 바코드를 이용한 자동체크인시스템을 개발하였다.

  • Landscape Architecture is the everlasting theme while the architecture is the concretionary symbol. In other words, greening system is the only living infrastructure in city. Sour of a city regional cultural connotation is decided by the city owners and presented as the exterior style and features by architecture, road, and context and landscape etc. This passage will discuss the outward manifestation and interior relationship, trend of development of Shanghai Style landscape and culture. In addition, trying to discern the progress trend of landscape in big city is also what will be talk about.

M-BECM의 타이밍 검출기 출력 특성 분석 (Analysis of the Timing Detector's Characteristics of the Modified BECM(M-BECM) Algorithm)

  • Previously, we have proposed the M-BECM(Modified-Band Edge Component Maximization), which is a symbol synchronization algorithm based on spectral line method for all-digital high speed digital communications. However, Until now, the characteristics of the timing detector based on the spectral line method including M-BECM was not analyzed, particularly the effect of a timing offset at the optimal convergence pont. In this paper, we analyze the timing dtector's characteristics of the M-BECM and present optimal design value. First, the expression for the timing detector's mean value(often called its S-Curver) as a function of the normalized symbol timing offset is derived. Next, the P $D_{bias}$, the value for compensating the timing offset at an optimal convergence point, and the bandwidth of bandpass filter in the timing detector are calculated. It is also shown and analyzed that the P $D_{bias}$ is affected by varuous factors such as the excess bandwidth of input signal, frequency offsets, noise and particularly, the excess bandwidth of input signal is a major parameter to decide P $D_{bias}$. Finally, analytic resutls are compared to simulation results.

  • 본 논문에서는 51.84Mbps의 전송 속도를 갖고, 16-QAM 변조방식을 사용하는 VDSL(고속 디지털 가입자 루프) 시스템에서, 전송 신호 주파수 스펙트럼의 밴드-에지 성분을 최대화함으로써 심볼 클록(12.96㎒)을 복원하는 방식에 대해 논의한다〔1〕. 디지털 방식의 PLL에서 여러 가지 특성들이 조사되었으며, NCO(Numerically Controlled Oscillator)에서 사용하는 룩-업 테이블의 효율적인 설계 방식을 제시하였다.
