A Novel Seamless Direct Torque Control for Electric Drive Vehicles

  • Electric drive vehicles (EDV) have received much attention recently because of their environmental and energy benefits. In an EDV, the motor drive system directly influences the performance of the propulsion system. However, the available DC voltage is limited, which limits the maximum speed of the motors. At high speeds, the inverter voltage increases if the square wave (SW) voltage (six-step operation) is used. Although conventional direct torque control (DTC) has several advantages, it cannot work in the six-step mode required in high-speed applications. In this paper, a single-mode seamless DTC for AC motors is proposed. In this scheme, the trajectory of the reference flux changes continuously between circular and hexagonal paths. Therefore, the armature voltage changes smoothly from a high-frequency switching pattern to a square wave pattern without torque discontinuity. In addition, because multi-mode controllers are not used, implementation is more straightforward. Simulation results show the voltage pattern changes smoothly when the motor speed changes, and consequently, torque control without torque discontinuity is possible in the field weakening area even with a six-step voltage pattern.

계통전압.무효전력 제어에 관한 연구 (A study for the system voltage and reactive power control)

  • This paper presents a method of the voltage-reactive power control in the long and short range operations and introduces a conception, "optimum control pattern." The optimum control pattern, aiming at the over-all system control, is defined as the optimum voltage distribution which minimizes the system operating cost under the conditions that the specified power be supplied and the system voltage be kept within the specified bounds. The following procedure was adopted to obtain this optimum pattern. In the first place, a power system was divided into three blocks, namely, load, substation and generator. Lagrange's, multiplier method is applied to each block in turn, paying attention only at the operating voltage distribution. Phase angles at each bus are then modified so that the continuity of active power is maintained. This procedure may be called "block relaxation method with Lagrange's multipliers." In a long range operation, this control pattern determines the optimum installation capacity of reactive power sources. In a short range operation, it also gives the reference state of real time control and the optimum switching capacity of reactive power souces. The real time control problem is also studied from the standpoint of cooperation of control devices such as generators, shunt capacitors, shunt reactors and ratio load controllers. A proposal for the real time control will contribute to the automation of power system operation in the near future. in the near future.

  • 본 논문은 부하직렬 고주파 공진 DC/DC 컨버터에 가변 가능한 공진커패시터를 병렬로 삽입한 LCC형 고주파 공진 DC/DC 컨버터의 특성과 설계 예를 나타내고 있으며, 또한 턴-오프시 스위칭 손실을 줄이기 위해 ZVS를 가지는 소프트 스위칭을 사용하였다. 제안 컨버터는 PFM(Pulse Frequency Modulation) 스위칭 패턴을 사용하여 동작되며, PFM 제어에 의해 제안 회로의 출력전압을 제어하였다. 병렬커패시터의 커패시턴스의 변화에 따라, DC/DC 컨버터의 분석은 일반적으로 무차원화 파라미터를 사용하여 나타내었고, 회로 동작 특성은 스위칭 주파수와 파라미터로 행하였다. 또한 본 논문은 특성평가에 의해 제안 DC/DC 컨버터의 동작 특성과 회로 설계 방법을 제시하였다. 더욱이 본 논문은 실험을 통해 이론 분석의 정당성을 입증하였다. 향후 제안한 DC/DC 컨버터는 반도체 및 FPD의 클린룸에 선형이동 시스템의 비접촉 전원장치에 적용 가능하다고 생각된다.

  • A new dead time compensation method using time delay control approach is presented. The dead time in switching pattern cause the voltage distortion and it can be considered as the disturbance voltage. In this paper the disturbance voltage is estimated using time delay control and the estimated disturbance voltage is summed with voltage command in predictive current control by a feed-forward. The proposed scheme is implemented on a PMSM and the effectiveness is verified through comparative simulation.

  • This paper proposes a novel current control method of three-phase PWM rectifiers without phase current sensors. The features of this method are to reconstruct phase currents by using switching pattern of space vector modulation and to estimate phase currents by a predictive state observer for practical applications. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed system is nearly the same as that of sensor-based system.

  • In this paper, a new speed control scheme for induction motor drives that regular sampled PWM and harmonic elimination switching pattern over the full range of output speed is presented. The proposed scheme(hybrid scheme) provides three mode and guarantees smooth voltage boost. A detailed description of the scheme, along with the relalization aspect, is described. Moreover, methods of compensating for dead time and optical transmission system of drive signal are proposed and investigated. Finally, experimental investigation of hybrid scheme is presented.

  • In mammalian species, CpG dinucleotides are highly methylated with 60-90% methylation at the 5-position of cytosine. The pattern of DNA methylation in a cell dramatically affects the function of the DNA by switching genes on or off. Abnormal methylation events occur during aging and in the development of many cancers. Methylated CpG was reported recently to affect the reactivity of agents (mitomycin C and benzo [a]pyrenediolepoxide) that can fromguanine adducts in DNA. (omitted)

  • In this thesis, we present efficient techniques to reduce the switching activity in a CMOS combinational logic network based on local logic transforms. But this techniques is not appropriate in the view of testability because of deteriorating the random pattern testability of a circuit. This thesis proposes a circuit design method having two operation modes. For the sake of power dissipation(normal operation mode), a gate output switches as rarely as possible, implying highly skewed signal probabilities for 1 or 0. On the other hand, at test mode, signals have probabilities of being 1 or 0 approaching 0.5, so it is possible to exact both stuck-at faults on the wire. Therefore, the goals of synthesis for low power and random pattern testability are achieved. The hardware overhead sof proposed design method are only one primary input for mode selection and AND/OR gate for each redundant connection.

  • This paper desoribes a method which can make easily the calculations of current and instantaneous output torque by using the representation techniques of Inverter output voltage space vector. And also, a technique for determinations the optical PWM switching patterns which can boost a output voltage and can minimize higher order harmonic components through appropriate movements of output voltage space vector is introduced.

  • 현재 액정 표시장치는 액정의 유전율 이방성 특성에 따라 Positive LC 와 Negative LC로 구분되어 개발 된다. Positive LC에는 TN(Twisted Nematic)모드와 IP(In Plane Switching) 모드가 있다. Negative LC에는 VA(Vertical alignment) 모드가 있다. 데이타 전압을 교류구동 시키므로, LCD Pixel들은 극성반전을 하게 되며, 이때 특정 Pattern에서 화면상에 비정상적인 색깔이 나타난다. 특정 Pattern이란 데이타 전압이 교류구동을 할 때, Vcom Level이 데이타 전압에 의한 Coupling 때문에 왜곡이 발생되고, 이 왜곡에 의하여 레드, 그린, 블루 Pixel의 충전을 차가 발생해서, 화면의 좌우는 적색편향 하게 보이고, 중앙은 녹색편향 발생된다.
