  • This study focus on the effect of switching barrier on negative performance. To suggest the negative effect of switching barrier, we reviewed the researches on service-failure and attribution theory. The model which we present in the research study includes the antecedents and consequences of negative emotions(regret, resentment) that caused by switching barriers. The former factors consist of internal attribution and external attribution. The latter factors consist of acceptance, complain, negative word-of-mouth. Survey research is employed to test these hypotheses. Previous researches, such as service marketing, psychology, have been referenced to measure constructs. We collected data involving various service area, and used 189 respondents to analyze these data with LISREL structural modeling. The hypothesized relationships were statistically significant. Internal attribution had positive effect on regret and external attribution had positive effects on resentment. And then regret had significant effects on acceptance and complain behaviour. Also resentment strongly effects on complain behaviour and negative word-of-mouth. We concluded with managerial implications, including the potential to deeper understanding switching barrier.

  • We selected horse mackerel Trachurus japonicus, mackerel Scomber japonicus and arrow squid Todarodes pacificus, to use in the experiment. These fishes migrate to the Cheju coast and were caught by set-net. We studied the leading effect on the fish schools using the attracting lamps in an outdoor water tank at the Marine Research Institute in Cheju National University. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. The attracting rate of fish schools was increasing as the time between switching on and off each lamp was getting longer when each of the attracting lamps was switched on and off in order. However, the attracting rate of mackerel school showed a tendency to be higher than that of the other two species. 2. The attracting rate of fish schools was increasing as the time of switching off the lamps was getting longer when the attracting lamps which had been switched on were switched off in order. However, the attracting rate of mackerel school showed a tendency to be higher than that of the other two species. 3. The attracting rate of fish schools was decreasing as the speed of moving the attracting lamp was getting faster when the attracting lamp was moving. However, the attracting rate of mackerel school showed a tendency be higher than that of the other two species. 4. To determine the distance between the attracting lamps, there would be two methods. One is switching on and off the attracting lamps in order, and the other is switching off the attracting lamps in order which had been switched on. The methods showed that the attracting rate of fish schools were decreasing as the distance between the attracting lamps were getting longer. However, the attracting rate of mackerel school showed a tendency to be higher than that of the other two species.

  • In this study, a numerical theory based on space charge overlapping model and experiments on the propriety of its theory were carried out to analyze the switching transient characteristic in amorphous coalcogenide thin film. Theoretical and experimental as well as analytical investigations were carried out on the switching behaviour in a transient state arising from a voltage pulse applied to amorphous chalcogenide thin films at room temperature. The results can be explained in terms ot a simple theoretical model of the electronic characteristics of switching. The injection of carriers are necessary to initiate the switching action and injected carriers contribute to the current flow as a space-charge limited current(SCLC) The proposed charge controlled switching characteristics can be explained by double injection space charge overlapping model.

  • Switching behaviour of the ferroelectric thin film and device characteristics of the MFSFET (Metal-Ferroelectric-Semiconductor FET) are simulated with taking into account the accumulation of oxygen vacancies near interface between the ferroelectric thin film and the bottom electrode caused by the progress of fatigue. We show net switching current decreases due fatigue in the switching model. It indicates that oxygen vacancy strongly suppresses polarization reversal. The difference of saturation drain current of the device before fatigue is shown by the dual threshold voltages in I$_{D}$-V$_{D}$ curve as 6㎃/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and decreases as much as 50% after fatigue. Our simulation model is expected to play an important role in estimation of the behavior of MFSFET device with various ferroelectric thin films.lms.

  • Switching behaviour of the ferroelectric thin film and device characteristics of the MFSFET(Metal-Ferroelectric-Semiconductor FET) are simulated with taking into account the accumulation of oxygen vacancies near interface between the ferroelectric thin film and the bottom electrode caused by the progress of fatigue. In our switching model, relative switched charge is 0.74 nC before fatigue, but after the progress of fatigue it reduces to 0.15 nC with the generation of oxygen vacancies. It indicates that the generation of oxygen vacancies strongly suppresses polarization reversal. $C-V_G\;and\;I_D-V_G$ curves in our MFSFET device model exhibit the memory window of 2 V and show the accumulation, the depletion and the inversion regions in capacitance characteristic clearly. The difference of saturation drain current of the device before fatigue in shown by the dual threshold voltages in $I_D-V_G$ curve as 6nA/$cm^2$ and decreases as much as 50% after fatigue. Decrease of the difference of saturation drain currents by fatigue implies that the accumulation of oxygen vacancies with the fatigue should be avoided in the device application. Our simulation model is expected to play an important role in estimation of the behavior of MFSFET device with various ferroelectric thin films.

  • As the information from today's knowledge-based society alters the awareness of patients and provides a wider selection of medical institutions, the reality of medical institution management is struggling compared to the past. CRM was introduced to domestic hospitals as marketing strategy to dominate the competition under varying medical environment. Thus, this research invests on CRM activity types used in hospitals and the effects of CRM activities toward loyalty and switching intention. Futhermore, we investigate the mediating role of customer relationship commitment and termination in CRM activities. The subjects in this study included three hundred customers who are using hospital settings or who had experience with using the hospital settings. The researcher collected 262 survey questionnaires from May 23th, 2011 to June first. In order to evaluate the hypothesis in this study, structural equation model was analyzed by using AMOS 18.0.

  • There has been strong demand for novel nonvolatile memory technology for low-cost, large-area, and low-power flexible electronics applications. Resistive memories based on metal oxide thin films have been extensively studied for application as next-generation nonvolatile memory devices. However, although the metal oxide-based resistive memories have several advantages, such as good scalability, low-power consumption, and fast switching speed, their application to large-area flexible substrates has been limited due to their material characteristics and necessity of a high-temperature fabrication process. As a promising nonvolatile memory technology for large-area flexible applications, we present a graphene oxide-based memory that can be easily fabricated using a room temperature spin-casting method on flexible substrates and has reliable memory performance in terms of retention and endurance. The microscopic origin of the bipolar resistive switching behaviour was elucidated and is attributed to rupture and formation of conducting filaments at the top amorphous interface layer formed between the graphene oxide film and the top Al metal electrode, via high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and in situ x-ray photoemission spectroscopy. This work provides an important step for developing understanding of the fundamental physics of bipolar resistive switching in graphene oxide films, for the application to future flexible electronics.

  • During the last decades several proposals have been made in literature to use predictive control for inverter control-especially in electrical drives. These algorithms are completely different to the recursive but linear predictive algorithms known from information theory, where closed mathematical equations are used (e.g. Kalman-filters). Only few of the presented schemes have been realized in industrial applications so far. After some further progress, however, the advantage of predictive algorithms might lead to an increased number of industrial implementations in the future. Besides the common basic idea - to use the well-known but strongly non-linear behaviour of inverters to precalculate the best switching times - there are many differences in the details of these proposals. This contribution shows similarities and differences and attempts to design a 'family tree' of predictive control algorithms. This might grow to a first step to a theoretical approach to deal with predictive control schemes in a more generalised way.

  • In experiment, a real inverted pendulum system has state constraints and limited amplitude of input. These problems make it difficult to design a swing-up controller. To overcome these problems, we design a sliding mode controller considering physical behaviour of the inverted pendulum system. This sliding mode controller uses a switching control action to converge along a specified path derived from energy equation from a state around the path to desired states(standing position). And optimal control method is used to guarantee stability at unstable equilibrium position. The designed controller can be applied to all inverted pendulum systems regardless of the values of their parameters. Compared with previous existing controllers, it is simple and easy to tune. Experimental results are given to show the effectiveness of this controller.
