태양광 발전시스템을 위한 소프트스위칭 전류원 인버터 (Soft-switching Current Source Inverter for Photovoltaic Power System)

  • This paper proposes a soft-switching current source inverter for photovoltaic power system, which has an H-type switched-capacitor module composed of two semiconductor switches, two diodes , and an L-C resonant circuit. The operation of proposed system was analyzed by a theoretical approach with equivalent circuits and verified by computer simulations with SPICE. The feasibility of hardware implementation was verified by experimental works with a prototype. The proposed system could by effectively applied for the photovoltaic power system with high efficiency.

An On-Line Harmonic Elimination Pulse Width Modulation Scheme for Voltage Source Inverter

  • This paper proposes a new harmonic elimination PWM (HEPWM) scheme for voltage source inverters (VSI) based on the curve fittings of certain polynomials functions. The resulting equations to calculate the switching angle of the HEPWM require only the addition and multiplication processes; therefore any number of harmonics to be eliminated and the fundamental amplitude of the pole switching waveform (NP1) can be controlled on-line. An extensive angle error analysis is carried out to determine the accuracy of the algorithm in comparison to the exact solution. To verify the workability of the technique, an experimental single phase VSI is constructed. The algorithm is implemented on a VSI using a 16-bit microprocessor. The results obtained from the test rig are compared to the theoretical prediction and the results of the MATLAB simulations.

  • This paper proposes a soft-switching current source inverter for a photovoltaic power system. The proposed inverter has an H-type switched-capacitor module composed of two semiconductor switches, two diodes, and an LC resonant circuit. The operation of the proposed system was analyzed by a theoretical approach with equivalent circuits and was verified by computer simulations with SPICE and experimental implementation with a hardware prototype. The proposed system could be effectively applied for the power converter of photovoltaic power system interconnected with the AC power system.

  • The conducted noises mainly emitted from PWM DC power supply have a periodicity with respect to switching frequency, and especially center at the switching frequency and the discrete harmonic frequencies. The concentration of noise energy at these discrete frequencies makes it harder to meet EMI regulations. To reduce the conducted noises, this paper presents the novel FM-PWM control method by using random switching frequency modulation control. This control makes it to generate the noises of side bands by shattering emission spectrum, and to reduce the peak level of conducted noises.

  • PWM 전압형 인버터의 스위칭 신호에 삽입되는 데드타임은 인버터의 출력에 왜형을 발생시키다. 그 결과, 지령에 대비한 기본파분 전압의 크기 및 위상의 편차가 발생한다. 뿐만 아니라 인버터 출력에 고조파를 증가시킨다. 본 논문에서는 스위칭 데드타임에 기인한 인버터 출력의 왜형분 전압에 대한 수식적 해석을 수행하였다. 연산 결과로써, 전압변조율, 부하 기본파 역율 및 데드타임에 다른 출력 전압의 기본파 전압 이득 및 위상 편차를 나타내었다.

A New Switching Pattern for Multilevel Inverter Based on Selective Harmonic Elimination Using Genetic Algorithm

  • In this paper, a new switching pattern is presented for multilevel inverters. With changing off-angel of each switch, the on time interval of all switches will approximately be equal and then the lifetime of inverter will increase, also using this method can reduce electrical stress on switches in higher levels of inverter. Switching angels as for desired modulation index are calculated using genetic algorithm whereas selective harmonics are controlled within the allowable range. The computed angels are simulated in Matlab/Simulink for respective circuits to validate the results.

  • In case while modulation index (M) is more than 0.7, the spectrum of motor voltage and current of a conventional two-phase SRP scheme are not reduced considerably. To solve the problems of a conventional two-phase SRP, this paper proposes a two-phase SRP(DZSRP) with double zero vector mode which zero vector is selected as V(111) in case of M $\geq$ 0.7, and zero vector is selected as V(000) if M < 0.7. For the validity of the proposed method, a 16 bit micro-controller C167 was used and the experiments were conducted with the 1.5kw induction motor under load condition. And the experimental results show that the switching noise spectrum for all the M are spread to a wide band area. Also the switching noise and conducted noise are discussed.

  • There are two types of inverters that are generally used in induction heating systems: voltage type inverters and high-frequency half-bridge inverters. This paper proposes a new resonant inverter for induction heating systems using the current type full-bridge method. The proposed method can remove capacitors at the input end, and enables unity power factor operation by preventing phase differences of voltage and current. Furthermore, Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) which is in tune with current type inverter can be adopted and continuous power adjustment is possible through duty ratio changes and frequency modulation in switching operation. Simulations and experiments showed that the proposed current type full-bridge resonant inverter could be used for unity power factor control and ZVS operation in induction heating systems.

  • Much attention has been given to EMI effects created in variable speed ac drive system. Zero switching states of inverter control invoke large common mode voltage. This paper focuses on the switching techniques to mitigate common mode voltage. This paper proposes a common-mode voltage reduction method based on sinusoidal pulse width modulation in three phase PWM inverter system. By using three carriers wave displaced by 120 degrees, it is possible to eliminate a common mode voltage pulse In one control period. Simulation and experimental results show that common mode voltages In the proposed technique are reduced more than conventional technique.

Analytical Model of Conduction and Switching Losses of Matrix-Z-Source Converter

  • This paper investigates analytical models of Conduction and Switching Losses (CASLs) of a matrix-Z-source converter (MZC). Two analytical models of the CASLs are obtained through the examination of operating principles for a Z-source inverter and ac-dc matrix converter respectively. Based on the two models, the analytical model of CASLs for a MZC is constructed and visualized over a range of exemplified operating- points, each of which is defined by the combination of power factor (pt) and modulation index (M). The model provides a measurable way to approximate the total losses of the MZC.
