A Study of a SR Motor drive with induction estimation (인덕턴스 연산에 의한 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기의 회전자 위치검출)

  • In this paper proposes a very simple method to estimate the rotor position of a switched reluctance motor. By on-line estimating the self-inductance of the motor, the rotor position of the SR motor is obtained, and a closed-loop drive system can be achieved. Proposed methods can easy implement to application with sensorless SR motor drive system. Speed 2000rpm SR motor simulation executed with self inductance estimation and result represented. Simulation result verified the rotor position using the proposed self-inductance estimation method.

  • This paper describes a simple random signal generator employing by CMOS analog technology in current mode. The system is a nonlinear dynamical system described by a difference equation, such as x(t+1) = f(x(t)) , t = 0,1,2, ... , where f($.$) is a nonlinear function of x(f). The tent map is used as a nonlinear function to produce the random signals with the uniform distribution. The prototype is implemented by using transistor array devices fabricated in a mass product line. It can be easily realized on a chip. Uniform randomness of the signal is examined by the serial correlation test and the $\chi$2 test.

  • Acne vulgaris is a common inflammatory skin disease of the pilose-baceous unit. It appears as lesions consisting of comedones, papules, pustules, and nodules of varying shapes and severity. In general, the first-line treatment for acne vulgaris includes topical and oral medication. Recently, various physical modalities have also been investigated. The use of laser therapy is steadily increasing because of its fewer side effects, short procedure time, and rapid results. In particular, laser therapy assisted with carbon suspension application is effective for acne vulgaris but may sometimes result in discomfort due to odor and dust formation during the procedure. Herein, we report that acne vulgaris and enlarged facial pores can be safely and effectively treated with laser therapy assisted with diamond particle suspension and gold microparticle application, which can address the discomfort caused by the carbon suspension application.

  • The paper describes a design process of the connection control function that performs overall procedures of optical network control system in the Next Generation - Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (NG-SDH) based transport system. Here, the NG-SDH means a new SDH technology that could perform automatic connection control with a granularity of VC-3 (about 50M) or VC-4 (about 150M) according to the increase and decrease of traffic, which is different from the existing technology that could perform connection control only with a granularity of a physical SDH link (STM-l, STM-4, STM-16, STM-64, STM-256 etc). The NG-SDH based connection control allows an ingress NG-SDH node to control the appropriate connection establishment process according to connection types such as Permanent Connection (PC), Soft Permanent Connection (SPC), Switched Connection (SC) over various SDH and Ethernet line cards.

  • A broadband, DC to 40 GHz 5-bit MMIC digital attenuator has been developed. The ultra broadband attenuator has been achieved by adding transmission lines in the conventional Switched-T attenuator and optimizing the transmission line parameters. Momentum simulation was performed in design for accurate performance prediction at high frequencies and Monte Carlo analysis was applied to verify the performance stability against the MMIC process variation. The attenuator has been fabricated with $0.15\;{\mu}m$ GaAs pHEMT process. This attenuator has 1 dB resolution and 23 dB dynamic ranges. High attenuation accuracy has been achieved over all attenuation ranges and 40 GHz bandwidth with the reference state insertion loss of less than 6 dB at 20 GHz. The input and output return losses of the attenuator are better than 14 dB over all attenuation states and frequencies. The measured IIP3 of the attenuator is 33 dBm.

  • A new integrated single-stage zero current switched(ZCS) quasi resonant convertedQRC) for the IX)wer f factor correction(PFCl converter is introduced in this paper. The power factor correction can be achieved by t the discontinuous conduction mod$\varepsilon$(DCM) operation of an input current. The proposed converter has the c characteristics of the good IX)wer factor, 10씨 line current harmonics, and tight output regulation.   • This is the third part of the four-part paper describing the development of a packet-switched computer communication network named the KORNET. In this paper we describe the design and implementation of the X.25 protocol connecting packet mode data terminal equipments(PDTE's) with data circuit terminating equipments(DCE's). In the KORNET, the X.25 protocol has been implemented on the line processing module-A(LPMA) of the network node processor(NNP). In the implementation of X.25, we have divided the software module according to the service function, and have determined the the rules that interact between the modules. Each layer protocol has been developed using the technique of the finite state machine. Before the actual coding of softwares, we hafve used formal software development tools based on the specification and description language (SDL) and program design languate (PDL) recommended by the CCITT. In addition, for the efficient operation of the X.25 protocol system we have analyzed the system performance and the service scheduling method of each module. The results will also be given.

  • Since the leased line is a structure that exclusively uses two connected areas for data transmission, a stable quality level and security are ensured, and despite the rapid increase in the number of switched lines, it is a line method that is continuously used a lot in companies. However, because the cost is relatively high, one of the important roles of the network operator in the enterprise is to maintain the optimal state by properly arranging and utilizing the resources of the network leased line. In other words, in order to properly support business service requirements, it is essential to properly manage bandwidth resources of leased lines from the viewpoint of data transmission, and properly predicting and managing leased line usage becomes a key factor. Therefore, in this study, various prediction models were applied and performance was evaluated based on the actual usage rate data of leased lines used in corporate networks. In general, the performance of each prediction was measured and compared by applying the smoothing model and ARIMA model, which are widely used as statistical methods, and the representative models of deep learning based on artificial neural networks, which are being studied a lot these days. In addition, based on the experimental results, we proposed the items to be considered in order for each model to achieve good performance for prediction from the viewpoint of effective operation of leased line resources.

Efficacy of epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitors for patient with leptomeningeal metastasis of epidermal growth factor receptor mutant non-small cell lung cancer

  • We report on a 64-year-old man with leptomeningeal metastasis (LM) from an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutated adenocarcinoma of the lung. He was treated with paclitaxel, cisplatin. After completion of chemotherapy, he complained of headache, nausea, and vomiting. EGFR-mutated tumor cells were identified from the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Second-line therapy with gefitinib, methotrexate was started. After receiving gefitinib for 4 weeks, he had no more headaches or vomiting. Eleven months after initiation of gefitinib, he developed headache and nausea. Chest computed tomography showed aggravation of bone metastasis. Third-line therapy was started with gemcitabine and carboplatin. Two weeks later, he experienced disorientation. After a fourth relapse within the central nervous system, the therapy was switched to erlotinib and significant improvement of LM was achieved. This case shows that LM can be diagnosed by detecting EGFR mutation in CSF and EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors are effective for LM from EGFR mutant non-small cell lung cancer.
