사판식 피스톤형 유압펌프에서의 실린더내 압력, 맥동, 소음에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Study on Pressure, Flow Fluctuation and Noise in the Cylinder of Swash Plate Type Axial Piston Pump)

  • Noise reduction for hydraulic pump is strongly demanded in the market with its efficiency and durability. In order to meet this demand, it is necessary to reveal mechanism for noise and relationship between the important factors. In this paper, mathematical model for cylinder pressure which is primary reason of pulsation and sound noise were established, and examined its pressure profile by simulation. Also, the valve plate of three kind types are manufactured and tested for piston pressure, pressure pulsation, and sound power level based on the tentative standard which is officially recognized.

  • The fuel economy is a key issue for the automotive industry due to environmental concerns. In particular, only 5-20% of the energy generated in a car using an internal combustion engine is used as power, and the remaining energy is dissipated due to friction with other parts. The main components in the reciprocating piston type compressors commonly used in general vehicles include shafts, swash plates, pistons, and cylinders, and severe friction loss occurs due to the contact of these components. Generally, the wear contact is the maximum between the shaft and cylinder and between the piston and swash plate. The friction of these parts may cause quality problems and deteriorate the durability. In this study, to reduce the frictional loss, a prototype with additional coating agents was produced. Moreover, an optimized design was generated, and performance, noise, and durability tests were conducted. A more durable product was successfully obtained.

  • The HPM (High-speed Power Matching) system is an electro-hydraulic control system. It directly controls the swash plate of the pump by selecting four-loop logic based on joystick signals, pump flow, and pressure signal to improve the efficiency and controllability of construction machines. In the NFC (Negative Flow Control) system, a typical pump control system using conventional open center type MCV, the loss is continuously generated by flow through the center bypass line even when the excavator is not in operation. Also, due to the slow response of the pump that indirectly controls the flow rate using the pressure regulator, peak pressure occurs at the start or stop of the operation. Conversely, the HPM system uses an MCV without center-by-pass flow path and the swash plate of a pump for the HPM is controlled by a high-speed proportional flow control valve. As a result, the HPM system minimizes energy loss in standby state of the excavator and enables peak pressure control through rapid electro-hydraulic control of a pump. In this paper, the concept of the HPM system algorithm is introduced and the hydraulic system efficiency is compared with the NFC system using the excavator SAT (System Analysis Tool).

설계 타당성 검토를 위한 압력·유량 제어형 사판식 피스톤 펌프의 해석모델 개발 (Development of Analysis Model of Pressure·Flow-controlled Swash Plate Type Pump for Evaluating Feasibility of Design)

  • 본 연구는 컴퓨터 해석프로그램 SimulationX로 압력 유량 제어형 사판식 피스톤 펌프의 해석모델을 개발하여 설계의 타당성을 검증하는 것을 다룬다. 설계도면의 제원을 바탕으로 해석모델을 개발하게 되면 프로토타입 제작 이전에 설계의 유효성을 미리 판단할 수 있고 이로 인해 제작상의 반복적 오류를 범하지 않기 때문에 개발비 절감의 효과를 가져올 수 있다. 해석모델 개발의 진행순서는 다음과 같다. 먼저 동역학적 요소가 포함된 밸브, 회전부 등의 각 부품의 구조를 분석하고 도면의 제원을 반영하여 단품 모델링을 한다. 각각의 해석모델을 조합하여 펌프 어셈블리 모델링을 하고 이것이 설계의도에 맞게 부하조건에 따른 압력 유량제어 기능을 원활히 수행할 수 있는지 파악한다. 모델링 절차의 마지막에는 예상했던 메카니즘대로 부품들이 움직이는 모습을 보여줌으로서 설계의 타당성을 검증한다.

  • In this paper, a performance characteristic pump and motor is investigated. The hydraulic pump and motor are axial piston type with swash plate. Proportional control valve which can control that plate is an important component for its performance characteristics. We will show the control characteristics for them Experiment results show that behavior can be shown with changing the various parameters.

자동차용 에어컨의 단품 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Component Performance for Automotive Air Conditioner)

  • For successful design of component, performances of one-tank plate type evaporator, gas-liquid separation type condenser, swash plate type compressor and thermostatic expansion valve for automotive air conditioner are investigated experimentally. Heat transfer characteristics in the evaporator are examined by means of air temperature, relative humidity, air volume flow, outlet refrigerant pressure and superheat, and heat transfer characteristics in the condenser are examined by means of air temperature, air velocity and inlet refrigerant pressure. Pressure drops for both evaporator and condenser are measured arid empirical correlations are derived. Volumetric efficiencies and isentropic efficiencies for trio types of compressors with different capacity are measured and compared. Thermostatic expansion valve is tested to investigate the pressure variation according to temperature changes.

  • In case of bent axis type axial piston hydraulic pump or motor, hydrostatic bearing used to achieve the lubrication effect on the mechanical sliding contact areas between the following pairs ; piston shoe and swash plate, valve plate and cylinder block, piston and cylinder block, etc. In this research, we designed two pairs of spherical ball joint in witch connecting rod piston end. The one is not hydrostatic bearing, the other is designed with spherical hydrostatic bearing in point of view minimum pumping power loss. By varying supply pressure on the piston, we can know that it is possible to reduce the friction torque by using hydrostatic bearing designed one. Finally, by comparing the results of driving torque between the two models, it was verified that the spherical hydrostatic bearing is well designed.

  • This paper presents a theoretical study of the delivery flow ripple produced by a swash plate type hydraulic piston pump for the purpose of developing a computer simulation program capable of predicting the pump source flow ripple accurately at the design stage. Particular attention has been paid to the development of the theoretical model by clarifying quantitatively the design influences of key parts of valve plate such as relief groove and pre-compression/expansion.

스퀴즈 효과를 고려한 사판식 피스톤 펌프 홀더의 그루브 유무에 따른 부하특성에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Load Characteristics of a Swash Plate Piston Pump Holder (Cradle) with Grooves Considering the Squeeze Effect)

  • The load characteristics of a piston pump holder due to the squeeze effect are influenced by the surface shape and gap thickness of the holder (cradle). Therefore, the pressure distribution and the load capacity of the piston pump holder due to the squeeze effect are studied by using the CFD software and the surface shape and gap thickness of the piston pump holder are considered. In order to verify the accuracy of numerical results, the load capacities of a circular plate holder are numerically studied, and the accuracy of numerical results is verified by comparing with the theoretical results. Also, the pressure distribution and load capacity of the rectangular plate holder of a piston pump are obtained by using the CFD software. The results show that the load capacity of the square plate holder with grooves is slightly higher at a low gap thickness, but the effects of the number and arrangement of grooves on the load capacity of the holder are weak. We conclude that the load capacity and the maximum pressure are slightly affected due to the existence of grooves on the holder surface, and the fluid storing effect of the holder surface grooves during the operation is likely to prevent the dry-sticking phenomenon.

전기.유압펌프 시스템의 설계 및 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design and Control of Electro-Hydraulic Pump System)

  • The study deals with controlling the velocity of hydraulic motor with PI controller through the control of displacement pump which has higher efficiency than valve-controlled system. This was done as follows. First, we modified original displacement pump and designed this electrohydraulic puma system. Second, after experimenting static and dynamic characteristics, we identified system parameter of approximated model. Lastly, to control the velocity of hydraulic motor we controlled the angle of the swash plate of displacement pump. Test carried out in the laboratory shows that transient and steady state response could be improved by PI controller reducing power loss.
