  • In this paper, we construct an iteration scheme involving a hybrid pair of the Suzuki generalized nonexpansive single-valued and multi-valued mappings in a complete CAT(0) space. In process, we remove a restricted condition (called end-point condition) in Akkasriworn and Sokhuma's results [2] in Banach spaces and utilize the same to prove some convergence theorems. The results in this paper, are analogs of the results of Akkasriworn et al. [3] in Banach spaces.

  • In this paper, we introduce the notion of modified TAC-Suzuki-Berinde type F-contraction and modified TAC-(${\psi}$, ${\phi}$)-Suzuki type rational mappings in the frame work of complete metric spaces, we also establish some fixed point results regarding this class of mappings and we present some examples to support our main results. The results obtained in this work extend and generalize the results of Dutta et al. [9], Rhoades [18], Doric, [8], Khan et al. [13], Wardowski [25], Piri et al. [17], Sing et al. [23] and many more results in this direction.

  • In this manuscript, a new multi-valued contraction is defined from a combination of Jaggi-type hybrid contraction and Suzuku-type hybrid contraction. Conditions for the existence of fixed points for such contractions in metric space are investigated. Moreover, some consequences are highlighted and discussed to indicate the significance of our proposed ideas. An example is given to support the assumptions of our theorems.

  • The purpose of this paper is to introduce the notion of generalized multivalued Ƶ-contraction and generalized multivalued Suzuki type Ƶ-contraction for pair of mappings and establish common fixed point theorems for such mappings in complete metric spaces. Results obtained in this paper extend and generalize some well known fixed point results of the literature. We deduce some corollaries from our main result and provide examples in support of our results.

  • Some strong convergence theorems of explicit iteration scheme for asymptotically nonexpansive semi-groups in Banach spaces are established. The results presented in this paper extend and improve some recent results in [T. Suzuki. On strong convergence to common fixed points of nonexpansive semigroups in Hilbert spaces, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 131(2002)2133-2136; H. K. Xu. A strong convergence theorem for contraction semigroups in Banach spaces, Bull. Aust. Math. Soc. 72(2005)371-379; N. Shioji and W. Takahashi. • The Hinai-dori is a breed of chicken native to Akita Prefecture, Japan. An $F_2$ resource population produced by crossing low- and high-growth lines of the Hinai-dori breed was analyzed to detect quantitative trait loci (QTL) for growth traits. Highly significant QTLs for body weight at 10 and 14 weeks of age and average daily gain between 4 and 10 weeks and between 10 and 14 weeks of age were accordingly mapped in a common region between ADL0198 and ABR0287 on chromosome 1 and between MCW0240 and ABR0622 on chromosome 4, respectively. A significant QTL for body weight at 4 weeks of age and a significant QTL for average daily gain between 0 and 4 weeks of age were mapped for the first time to the same region flanking ABR0204 and ABR0284 on chromosome 1. These QTLs are good candidates for application in the development of marker-assisted selection strategies for increasing growth efficiencies in the Hinai-dori breed and native breeds of chickens in Asia.

  • Interstellar ices (e.g., $H_2O$, $CO_2$, and CO ices) are formed on the surface of dust grains in dense molecular clouds. In a near-infrared spectrum, we can observe deep absorption features particularly due to $H_2O$ ice at $3.05{\mu}m$ and $CO_2$ ice at $4.27{\mu}m$. These interstellar ices have many pieces of information on the interstellar environment. Among various ices, $CO_2$ ice is one of the most important ones as a probe of the interstellar environment. That is because $CO_2$ ice is a secondary product unlike $H_2O$ and CO ices which are primarily formed on dust grains. Past studies for $CO_2$ ice in nearby galaxies were performed only for the galactic center in a few galaxies. In order to utilize the information from $CO_2$ ice effectively, it is valuable to perform mapping observations of ices on a galactic scale. With AKARI, we obtain the spatially-resolved near-infrared ($2.5-5.0{\mu}m$) spectra for the central ~1 kpc region of the nearby starburst galaxy M 82. These spectra clearly show the absorption features due to interstellar $H_2O$ and $CO_2$ ices, and we created their column density maps. As a result, we find that the spatial distribution of $H_2O$ ice is significantly different from that of $CO_2$ ice; $H_2O$ ice is widely distributed, while $CO_2$ ice is concentrated near the galactic center. Our result for the first time reveals spatial variations in $CO_2/H_2O$ ice abundance ratio on a galactic scale, suggesting that the ice-forming interstellar environment changes within a galaxy. In this presentation, we discuss the cause of the variations in the ice abundance ratio.

  • As a product of geological mapping of the Changamjeom Sheet (1:50,000) located around Misiryeong at a distance towards the west from Sokcho city, a small laccolith of hypabyssal rocks has been geometrically reconstructed to understand the original laccolith shape using structural contour lines of random spot sediments laid on the quartz feldspar porphyry and a schematic cross section. The laccolith age is constrained to ca. $84.4{\pm}1.8$ Ma (SHRIMP). The originated Baekdam sedimentary basin with the lost size has been yielded to 6 km wide and 16 km long.
