Fatigue is known to detrimentally affect a person's performance. Also, fatigue may reduce effectiveness and efficiency of marine officers and crew members. The purpose of this research is to understand on the status of the marine officers' fatigue. In this study, we carried out the questionnaire survey which is related to the marine officers' fatigue factors such as work, sleep and rest hour or period, sleepiness, casual factor, fatigue symptom, etc. The questionnaire contained 25 questions and it was distributed among 1,033 marine officers(deck officers 607 and engineers 426). The results of this survey show that marine officers' fatigue is a casual factor in marine accidents such as collisions, groundings and there was a fatigue difference between deck officers and engineers.

Safe navigation is closely related to the fatigue of marine officers. Also, the fatigue of duty officer can cause serious marine accidents. In this study, the documentary survey about the marine officers' working environments, fatigue factors and symptoms was conducted. And the questionnaire survey which is related to the fatigue analysis factors such as sleepiness, mental physical workload and alcohol for apprentice officers was carried out, and the results of questionnaire survey were analyzed. Lastly, on the basis of this study, the fatigue analysis model was suggested in order to assess the marine officers' performance in the future.

Professional management of multi-family housing to maintain physical environments was essential to cope with timeworn housings as the residents share various facilities and spaces therein altogether. Therefore, this research intended to collect the key aspects and items for efficient management of multi-family housing and such data and information was obtained partly by way of conducting survey of the residents therein. This research conducted survey 3 times questionnaire with the residents (n=30) living in multi-family housings and managers (n=30) of multi-family housings. 3 times surveys that consisted of 1 open end and 2 closed end was conducted to draw objectified results and experimental analysis was made at each stage to achieve the purpose of this study. And survey period to fill in a questionnaire was Aug. 17. 2012-Sep. 05. 2012. This research revealed that maintaining safety and healthy and high quality living environment is critical in the management of multi-family housing. Accordingly, proper management manual prepared complying with the requirements of the residents in the multi-family housing management.

The purpose of this study was to acquire a better of how creativity center is perceived among students, teachers and parents by administering a questionnaire. A total of 320 people participated in this survey. We developed the questionnaire which as categorized by four specific areas: 1) people's overall perceptions of creativity education; 2) the way of using the creativity center 3) programing of creativity center 4) space composition of the creativity center. The summary of survey results included; firstly, people had paid attention to creativity education and creativity education; secondly, they want to make use of creativity center with informal learning and extra-curriculum; thirdly, they prefer to participate in many experience activities such as camp or experiments; lastly, they more need creativity experience program and utilization of DIY education. In conclusion, students, teachers and parents recognized creativity center is needed. Therefore, more intensive research and follow-up study on building creativity center should be highly considered.

The purpose of this study is to analyze students misunderstood types relate to trigonometric function and to devise its teaching method using GSP. To do this, we performed several steps as followings: First, we performed questionnaire survey to 70 students belong to second year at high school to find students comprehension degree about radian angle representation and trigonometric function graph. Second, we devised the teaching-learning materials relate to trigonometric function graph using GSP. And then, we used them in the class of 35 students who are at the time to learn trigonometric function in the first year at high school. Third, we conducted Questionnaire survey to students studied through teaching and learning materials using GSP. As a result of doing the survey, we found that general students were interested in the class using GSP and they could also operate computer without difficulty.

Objectives: Unprotected leisure time exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun or artificial tanning beds is the most important environmental risk factor for melanoma, a malignant skin cancer with increasing incidences over the past decades. The aim of the present study was to assess the impact of skin health information provided by several sources and different publishing issues on knowledge, risk perception, and sun protective behavior of sunbathers. Methods: A cross-sectional questionnaire survey was conducted among Austrian residents (n=563) spending leisure time outdoors in August 2010. Results: Print media, television, and family were perceived as the most relevant sources of information on skin health, whereas the source physician was only ranked as fourth important source. Compared to other sources, information provided by doctors positively influenced participants' knowledge on skin risk and sun protective behavior resulting in higher scores in the knowledge test (p=0.009), higher risk perception (p<0.001), and more sun protection (p<0.001). Regarding gender differences, internet was more often used by males as health information source, whereas females were more familiar with printed information material in general. Conclusions: The results of this survey put emphasis on the demand for information provided by medical professionals in order to attain effective, long-lasting promotion of photoprotective habits.

The objective of this study is to analyze demands and important level of rural amenity resources information in rural development consulting. For this study, the questionnaire survey was implemented to regional development consulting companies and organizations with three parts. The first part is about the methodologies in using for the rural development consulting, particularly, the collect processes of the amenity resources information and methods to establish development strategy are included in the questionnaire. In second part, essential factors for constructing the information system of rural amenity resources are investigated. Finally, the rural development project types were classified, and performed an analysis of important level for the rural amenity resources utilizing AHP technique. According to results of this study survey, the demands from residents are the most important factor for establishing rural development plan, and the relationship among neighboring regions and the amounts of rural amenity resources are also considered as important factors. The most important rural amenity resources are different as rural development project types.

There are enormous challenges in the Istanbul Strait- one of the most important, congested and narrow waterways in the world - from the view point of risk determination and risk mitigation for the local traffic. Previously several traffic parameters such as; traffic volume for local vessels, traffic flow and potential encounters of local traffic, in addition to the possibility of collision, were investigated in order to determine the degree of dangers in the southern entrance of the Istanbul Strait. Furthermore, risky zones were also determined in this waterway. On the basis of the results of those, a group of expert was surveyed. These experts were pilots, Vessel Traffic Services Operators (VTS-O), Local Traffic Vessel Captains and Master Mariners who had several experience of navigation through the Istanbul Strait. In order to assess experts perceptions of danger and to propose further studies based on this survey. The questionnaire was analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) program version 13.0. Finally, some differences and/or shares on risk perceptions of expert in the Istanbul Strait are considered.

NFPs support a sustainable society and they rely on contributions from donors. Donor behavior is a kind of consumer behavior that influences fundraising by NFPs. In order to make fundraising functional under a principal-agent relationship, NFPs must construct trust through proper provision of accounting information. For donors, financial statements are main source of accounting information. Edelman revealed that the level of trust in Japan's NFPs is the lowest in East Asia, because of a lack of transparency and accountability. Some researchers had investigated donor behavior as a kind of consumer behavior and had provided supportive results that accounting information influences donor behaviors, before this research was conducted. This research investigates this background by conducting questionnaire-based survey. Main questions of this questionnaire were created according to criteria that BBB are using for NFPs in the U.S. The results of this survey revealed the lack of reliability of basic accounting information in Japan and that education in higher educational institutions can improve this situation. This survey also revealed that a rating agency like BBB, which evaluates accounting information of NFPs, could improve trust on NFPs. The implications of this study can apply to the other countries and regions where trust in NFPs is insufficient.

This study analyzed symptoms of MSDs(Musculokeletal Disorders) associated with characteristics of smartphone usage based on questionnaire survey. This study also tried to identify their relationship based on the results from questionnaire survey. A total of 943 subjects participated for the survey. The results in terms of symptoms associated with smartphone usage were as follows; 1) 49.8% of respondents experienced symptoms associated with MSDs, 2) 35.9%, 34.0%, 22.1%, 21.7% and 20.9% of respondents had symptoms at shoulder, neck, elbow, wrist, and fingers respectively, 3) The effect of 'daily time of data use', 'monthly costs' for MSDs of respondents was significant. Specifically, this study has some significance since it tries to identify the relationship between MSDs symptoms and characteristics of smartphone usage. The results of the study can be good basis for better design and user guidelines of smartphone to prevent MSDs associated with smartphone usage.
