콘크리트에 표면매입 보강된 탄소섬유 판의 온도에 따른 부착성능 (Bond Capacity of Near-Surface-Mounted CFRP Plate to Concrete Under Various Temperatures)

  • 본 연구에서는 탄소섬유판을 이용하여 표면매입 보강된 철근콘크리트 부재의 내화성능에 관한 연구로서 온도변화에 따른 탄소섬유 판의 인장시험, 에폭시의 상태변화 실험, 그리고 온도변화에 따른 부착성능에 관한 일련의 실험연구를 실시하였다. 실험연구로부터, 부착강도의 측면에서 콘크리트를 보강하기 위한 효율적인 보강방법은 표면매입 보강이며, 이 보강법은 상온에서는 그 효과가 매우 높지만, 비록 낮은 온도일지라도 주변온도가 높아질 경우에는 보강효과가 현저히 저하될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 특히, 주변 온도가 에폭시의 화학적 성질이 변화하기 시작하는 유리전이 온도에 근접할 경우, 부착기능이 상실되기 시작하므로 구조물의 안전한 내화설계를 위해서는 부착용으로 사용되는 에폭시의 성능을 개선시키고 또한 섬유보강재의 성능개선이 시급한 것으로 사료된다.

액상화 가능성이 있는 지반에 놓인 지반-말뚝 시스템의 동적 p-y 곡선 연구 (Evaluation of the Dynamic P-Y Curves of Soil-Pile System in Liquefiable Ground)

  • 말뚝의 동적 응답 해석을 위한 다양한 방법들이 개발되어 있으며, 이 중에서 비선형 스프링, p-y 곡선을 이용하여 지반-말뚝 상호작용을 고려하는 방법이 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나, 현재 사용되는 동적 p-y 곡선은 정적 또는 주기 하중에 의한 횡방향 재하 시험에 의해 개발되었다. 또한, p-y 곡선에 scaling factor를 도입하여 액상화에 의한 지반-말뚝 상호작용의 영향을 모사하고자 하는 시도가 이루어져 왔으나, 지금까지 정확한 scaling factor를 산정하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 Ig 진동대 실험으로부터 구한 말뚝 주변 지반의 과잉간극수압과 지반-말뚝 시스템의 고유진동수 관계 및 수치해석으로부터 구한 말뚝 주변 지반의 탄성계수의 변화와 지반-말뚝 시스템의 고유진동수 관계로부터, 말뚝 주변 지반의 탄성계수의 변화로 표현되는 p-y 곡선의 scaling factor를 구하였다. 그 결과, scaling factor는 과잉간극수압비에 따른 지수 함수의 형태로 나타났다.

서해산 김 엽체상의 미소생물과 김의 병해와의 관계에 대한 연구 -II. 목포 인근 김 양식장 주변해수에서의 종속영양세균의 계절적 변화- (A Study on the Relationships Between the Epiphytic Microbes and the Blight of Porphyra Species from the Coastal Waters of the Yellow Sea, Korea -II.   • 1990년 2월부터 12월에 걸쳐 목포 인근수역에서 김 양식장 주변해수에 분포하는 종속영양 세균의 계절적 속조성의 변화를 미생물 생태학적 측면에서 조사하였다. 조사기간 중 해수에 나타난 종속영양 세균의 년중 분포는 $1.05\times10^2-1.46\times10^5$\;cfu/ml$ 에서 변화하였으며, 생리적 특성세균의 년중 분포는 단백질 분해세균의 경우, $5.0\times10-4.34\times10^4\;cfu/ml,$ 지방 분해세균은 $0-1.35\times10^4\;cfu/ml,$ 전분 분해세균은 $0-1.2\times10^4\;cfu/ml,$ 의 범주에서 분포하였다. 주변해수에서 분포하는 종속영양 세균의 특성을 조사한 결과, 간균이 $65\%$를 차지하였고, $76.7\%$가 그람 음성으로 나타났다. 분리된 균주의 대부분은 중온성이었으며, 다양한 탄소원을 이용할 수 있었고, 염분내성범위가 넓었다. 또한 우점속은 2월에는 Flavobacterium spp., 3월에는 Acinetobacter spp., Moraxella spp., 7월에는 Vibrio spp., Chromobacterium spp., Micrococcus spp., Bacillus spp., 11월에는 Chromobacterium spp., Micrococcus spp., Bacillus spp. 등이 출현하여 조사시기와 조사정점에 따라 우점속의 차이를 보였다.

Strength degradation of a natural thin-bedded rock mass subjected to water immersion and its impact on tunnel stability

  • Strength anisotropy is a typical feature of thin-bedded rock masses and their strength will be degraded subjected to water immersion effect. Such effect is crucial for the operation of hydropower plant because the impoundment lifts the water level of upstream reservoir and causes the rock mass of nearby slopes saturated. So far, researches regarding mechanical property of natural thin-bedded rock masses and their strength variation under water immersion based on field test method are rarely reported. This paper focuses on a thin-bedded stratified rock mass and carries out field test to investigate the mechanical property and strength variation characteristics. The field test is highlighted by samples which have a large shear dimension of 0.5 m*0.5 m, representing a more realistic in-situ situation than small size specimen. The test results confirm the anisotropic nature of the concerned rock mass, whose shear strength of host rocks is significantly larger than that of bedding planes. Further, the comparison of shear strength parameters of the thin-bedded rock mass under natural and saturated conditions show that for both host rocks and bedding planes, the decreasing extent of cohesion values are larger than friction values. The quantitative results are then adopted to analyze the influence of reservoir impoundment of a hydropower plant on the surrounding rock mass stability of diversion tunnels which are located in the nearby slope bank. It is evaluated that after reservoir impoundment, the strength degradation induced incremental deformations of surrounding rock mass of diversion tunnels are small and the stresses in lining structure are acceptable. It is therefore concluded that the influences of impoundment are small and the stability of diversion tunnels can be still achieved. The finings regarding field test method and its results, as well as the numerical evaluation conclusions are hoped to provide references for rock projects with similar concerns.

복잡지형에서의 일사량과 휘도 간의 관계 구명 (Relationship between Solar Radiation in Complex Terrains and Shaded Relief Images)

  • 경사면일사량은 수평면일사량과 해당위치 지형경사도 간의 기하학적 관계인 일사수광비율을 통해 추정할 수 있다. 그러나 이렇게 추정한 일사량은 주변에 햇빛을 차단하는 장애물이 없다는 것을 가정하기 때문에 만약 실제 농사를 짓고 있는 농장 등에 이를 적용할 경우에 지형으로 인한 차광 등의 영향을 충분히 반영하지 못한다. 음영기복도는 태양의 위치와 지형의 기복으로 인한 직달일사의 변이를 밝기(휘도)로 수치화한 격자 형태의 자료로서, 하나의 격자는 가장 어두운 값 0에서 가장 밝은 값 255까지의 값을 갖는다. 본 연구에서는 지형으로 인한 차광효과를 모의하기 위해 30m 해상도의 DEM을 이용하여 연구지역의 음영기복도를 제작하고 휘도 분석을 수행하였다. 연구지역에 설치된 AWS 22개 지점의 기상자료를 수집하여 일조율 80% 이상인 날을 선별하고, 관측일사량과 각 지점의 휘도를 비교하여 휘도가 지형으로 인한 차광효과를 설명할 수 있는지 확인하였다. 분석결과 휘도와 일사량 간에 상관관계가 있는 것을 확인하였으며, 지형의 영향이 큰 지점에서의 직달일사가 시작되는 시점과 끝나는 시점은 태양고도 보다는 휘도와 잘 부합하는 것으로 나타났다. 추가적인 연구를 통해 주변 지형의 영향을 반영한 휘도를 이용한 상세한 일사량 추정이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

Gamma-ray Exposure Rate Monitoring by Energy Spectra of NaI(Tl) Scintillation detectors

  • Background: Nuclear facilities in South Korea have generally adopted pressurized ion chambers to measure ambient gamma ray exposure rates for monitoring the impact of radiation on the surrounding environment. The rates assessed with pressurized ion chambers do not distinguish between natural and man-made radiation, so a further step is needed to identify the cause of abnormal variation. In contrast, using NaI(Tl) scintillation detectors to detect gamma energy rates can allow an immediate assessment of the cause of variation through an analysis of the energy spectra. Against this backdrop, this study was conducted to propose a more effective way to monitor ambient gamma exposure rates. Materials and Methods: The following methods were used to analyze gamma energy spectra measured from January to November 2016 with NaI detectors installed at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) dormitory and Hanbat University. 1) Correlations of the variation of rates measured at the two locations were determined. 2) The dates, intervals, duration, and weather conditions were identified when rates increased by $5nSv{\cdot}h^{-1}$ or more. 3) Differences in the NaI spectra on normal days and days where rates spiked by $5nSv{\cdot}h^{-1}$ or more were studied. 4) An algorithm was derived for automatically calculating the net variation of the rates. Results and Discussion: The rates measured at KAERI and Hanbat University, located 12 kilometers apart, did not show a strong correlation (coefficient of determination = 0.577). Time gaps between spikes in the rates and rainfall were factors that affected the correlation. The weather conditions on days where rates went up by $5nSv{\cdot}h^{-1}$ or more featured rainfall, snowfall, or overcast, as well as an increase in peaks of the gamma rays emitted from the radon decay products of $^{214}Pb$ and $^{214}Bi$ in the spectrum. This study assumed that $^{214}Pb$ and $^{214}Bi$ exist at a radioactive equilibrium, since both have relatively short half-lives of under 30 minutes. Provided that this assumption is true and that the gamma peaks of the 352 keV and 1,764 keV gamma rays emitted from the radionuclides have proportional count rates, no man-made radiation should be present between the two energy levels. This study proved that this assumption was true by demonstrating a linear correlation between the count rates of these two gamma peaks. In conclusion, if the count rates of these two peaks detected in the gamma energy spectrum at a certain time maintain the ratio measured at a normal time, such variation can be confirmed to be caused by natural radiation. Conclusion: This study confirmed that both $^{214}Pb$ and $^{214}Bi$ have relatively short half-lives of under 30 minutes, thereby existing in a radioactive equilibrium in the atmosphere. If the gamma peaks of the 352 keV and 1,764 keV gamma rays emitted from these radionuclides have proportional count rates, no man-made radiation should exist between the two energy levels.

Species Diversity Analysis of Mushrooms Collected in Mt. Chiak

  • This study included the analysis of mushroom data collected from Mt. Chiak in Gangwon-do using various methods. Former studies of Korean mushrooms are limited by regional characters and there is less species diversity among the regions. This study tried to find a way for the forecast of mushroom distribution and appearance by indexes of species diversity. The indexes used in this study include the number of fungi (N), the number of species (S), similarity index (C), richness index (R1, R2), variety index (V1, V2), evenness index (E1, E2, E3, E4, E5), and dominance index (D1) to analyze variety of species diversity. Analyses of data of fungi using a multistage cluster sampling indicate that the average value of C for years was higher than the average value of C for areas. The mushrooms consisted of 208 species in 686 individuals in limited fungal collection from 2002 to 2003. One hundred thirty nine species in 393 individuals were collected in 2002, and 122 species 293 individuals were collected in 2003. The individuals collected in 2003 were smaller than 2002's individuals. Similarity, richness, and variety indexes' values of 2003 were reduced than 2002's values but dominance index of 2003 was increased than 2002's value. Generally the species diversity of the environment to evaluate the index of similarity, richness, and variety was a higher index; dominance index was lower than that of the surrounding environment, suggesting a good diversity. As a result, the occurrence of mushrooms in the surrounding environment and the various factors seem fell in 2002 compared to 2003. The majority genus of the limited fungal collection was Mycena genus in 63 individuals; the majority species was Laccaria laccata in 34 individuals. Ninety three species in 106 individuals were collected by the extended collection and the majority genus of the extended collection was Amanita genus in 17 individuals; the majority species was Amanita citrina (Schaeff.) Pers. which was found in 5 individuals. This demonstrates that periodical similarity's value was 0.159 is higher than special similarity's 0.119. This indicates that the probability of the appearance of same mushrooms in the same area in following year is higher than the probability of the appearance of same mushrooms in the surrounding area in same year. The value of coefficient of variation (CV), in which the amount of change is much or less by N is higher than the CV value by S. CV value of dominance index(D) was the highest r point among other indexes, and evenness index (E) was the lowest point among other indexes. The correlation matrix with 66 combinations between the indexes, the combinations with correlations was 46 combinations. These results revealed that indexes of R1, V2, and E1 were proper to represent species diversity of fungi based on the correlation matrix and the theory of statistical independence which means there is no or less mutual association. This research would contribute to the study about variable living creature by measuring method and in the future this would be used to figure out regulation about fungi with their correlation, values in ecosystem, develop improving new models about agricultural fungi species and numbers by investigating agricultural variable species.

분자생물학적 방법을 이용한 지열시스템 관정 및 주변지역 미생물종 모니터링 (Monitoring of Geothermal Systems Wells and Surrounding Area using Molecular Biological Methods for Microbial Species)

  • This study was conducted to monitor microbial species dynamics within the aquifer due to long term operation of geothermal heat pump system. The species were identified by molecular biological methods of 16S rDNA. Groundwater sample was collected from both open (S region) and closed geothermal recovery system (J region) along with the control. J measured and control as well as S measured found Ralstonia pickettii as dominant species at year 2010. In contrast, Rhodoferax ferrireducens was dominantly observed for the control of S. In 2011, Sediminibacterium sp. was universely identified as the dominant species regardless of the monitoring places and type of sample, i.e., measured or control. The difference in the dynamics between the measured and the control was not critically observed, but annual variation was more strikingly found. It reveals that possible environmental changes (e.g. ORP and DO) due to the operation of geothermal heat recovery system in aquifer could be more exceedingly preceded to differentiate annual variation of microbial species rather than positional differences.

갑상샘 유두암종의 세포진단에서 형태학적 계측의 분석 (Morphometric Analysis for Cytological Diagnosis of Thyroid Papillary Carcinoma)

  • The diagnosis of papillary thyroid cancer is generally based on the findings of intranuclear cytoplasmic inclusions and nuclear grooves. Although anisokaryosis and poikilokaryosis, in papillary thyroid cancer, are not distinct when compared to other cancers, cytological examination can provide useful preoperative information. Our study evaluated the diagnostic role of computer-assisted image analysis for the pre-surgical assessment of papillary thyroid carcinoma. Thyroid aspirates from twenty female patients who were histologically confirmed to have both papillary carcinoma and benign nodules were studied. Different populations of 50 benign cells and 50 malignant cells were analyzed. Five morphometric parameters were selected for analysis: nuclear area, perimeter, maximum length, maximum width and intensity standard variation. The values obtained for papillary carcinomas were higher than the surrounding benign nodules as follows: nuclear area 63.5 vs. 36.1 (p=0.000), nuclear perimeter were 29.4 vs. 22.0 (p=0.000), maximum length 9.6 vs. 7.1 (p=0.000), maximum width 8.2 vs. 6.3 (p=0.000), the ratio between maximal length and maximal width 1.16 vs. 1.13 (p=0.000), the standard variation of intensity 14.9 vs. 15.9 (p=0.101) respectively. Therefore, morphometric information can be helpful for the differential cytological diagnosis of papillary thyroid carcinoma.

다목적 복층터널의 기능전환과 지하수위 변화에 따른 거동분석 (Behavior of double deck tunnel due to feature change and variation of ground water table)

  • 최근 사회기반시설의 투자효율성을 높이기 위하여 평상 시 도로터널로 운영되지만 홍수 시 수로로 이용되는 수로 도로 다목적 터널의 계획이 시도되고 있다. 이러한 다목적 터널은 수로터널로의 이용이 한시적이기 때문에 내수압과 지하수위가 일정하지 않아 터널 내부와 외부의 압력변화가 상당할 수 있다. 특히 지하수위 아래에 건설 된 다목적 터널의 경우 장기간 운영 중에 발생하는 계절적 압력변화는 터널에 반복하중으로 작용하여 구조물과 인접지반의 열화로 이어질 가능성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 다목적 터널의 외부 및 내부 수위조건에 따라 발생할 수 있는 구조물의 거동특성을 모형실험 및 수치해석을 통하여 조사하였다. 그 결과 수위변화로 인한 터널 거동의 주 원인은 부력이며, 터널 내부 및 외부의 반복적인 수위변화는 터널 주변지반의 이완영역을 확대시키는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 다목적 터널의 설계 시 수위변화에 따른 영향검토가 필요하며 경우에 따라 저항성을 유지시킬 수 있는 대책의 검토가 필요하다.
