  • 윤성범과 이기혁(1977)의 수치모형을 이용하여 열발전소의 펌프 비상중단시 냉각수 계통에서 발생하는 서어지거동을 해석하였다. 종래에 무시되었던 기계내부계통으로 부터의 유량, 폐정공기실, 및 공기유출입구, 맨홀, 개수로 및 바다의 영향을 고려하였으며, 이들이 서어지 거동에 미치는 영향을 체계적으로 분석하였다. 특히 공기유출입구의 면적에 따른 서어지 제어효과와 공기실의 공기압 변화를 제시하여 실무에의 적용이 용이하도록 하였다.

가압기밀림관의 수평배관내 열성층유동 (Thermal stratification in a horizontal pipe of pressurizer surge line)

  • In this paper, the unsteady two dimensional model for the thermal stratification in the pressurizer surge line of PWR plant has been proposed to numerically investigate the heat transfer and flow characteristics. The dimensionless governing equations are solved by using the Control Volume Formulation and SIMPLE (Semi-Implicit Method for Pressure Linked Equations) algorithm. The temperature profile of fluids and pipe wall with time are shown when the thermal stratification occurs in the horizontal pipe. The numerical result shows that the maximum dimensionless temperature difference is about O.514 between hot and cold section of pipe wall at dimensionless time 1,632.

  • This paper presents efficient protection countermeasure against lightning and surge for the control & instrumentation equipment using TVSS(transient voltage surge suppressor) and TEC(transient earth clamp). We propose the zone protection technique with TVSS and the use of TEC for clearing potential difference between frame ground and signal ground.

입구 안내익 영향으로 인한 원심 압축기 불안정성 연구 (Experimental Study on the Effect of Inlet Guide Vane of Instabilities of a Centrifugal Compressor)

  • An experimental study on the performance and instability development characteristics of a centrifugal compressor equipped with an adjustable inlet guide vane has been performed with varying guide vane angles. The test was conducted at the design speed of 20,800 rpm for 6 guide vane angles : $-30^{\circ},\;-20^{\circ},\;10^{\circ},\;0^{\circ},\;10^{\circ},\;20^{\circ},\;30^{\circ}$. Unsteady pressures were measured using high-frequency pressure transducers at the inducer to investigate the instability phenomena such as rotating stall and surge inside the compressor. From the unsteady measurements, it is found that the transient process from rotating stall to surge was mainly affected by inlet guide vane angles. The results of the present study can be applied to the instability control of the centrifugal compressors using a adjustable inlet guide vane.

  • This paper presents a technique for electromagnetic field analysis on surge response due to Mid-span back-flashovers effects in lightning protection system of 500 kV EHV single circuit transmission tower by the neural networks method. These analyses are based on modeling lightning return stroke as well as on coupling the electromagnetic fields of the stroke channel to the line. The ground conductivity influences both the electric field as well as the coupling mechanism and hence the magnitude and wave shape of the induced voltage. The technique can be used to analyzed the corona voltage effect, the effective of stroke to the span tower, the surge impedance of transmission lines. The maximum voltage from flashovers effects in the lines. The model is compatible with general electromagnetic transients programs such as the ATP-EMTP. The simulation results show that this study analyses for time-domain with those produced by a cascade multi-section model, the surge impedance of a full-sized tower hit directly by a lightning stroke is discussed.

  • An accumulator in hydraulic systems stores kinetic energy during braking action, and then that controls a hasty surge pressure. This study suggests a method ot determine the capacity of the accumulator to control surge pressure to a desired degree. A mathematical dynamic model of the system was derived and the parameters in the model were identified from experimental data. A series of computer simulation were done for the brake action. The results of the simulation work were compared with those of experiments. These results of the computer simulation and experiments shows that the proposed design method of the accumulator was verified in controlling surge pressure of the system.

  • The simulation study of lightning faults reducing effects by the installation of surge arresters on the 154 kV transmission line is stated here. For the purpose of detailed simulation of arcing horn, a flashover model with dynamic characteristics of arcing horn gap was represented as a non-linear inductance which is controlled by EMTP/TACS(Electromagnetic Transient Program/fransient Analysis of Control Systems) switches. The back flashover inducing current was increased from 50 kA to 88 kA by the installation of surge arresters on the transmission line which has one ground wire and 20 ohms of tower footing resistances. The great advantage of surge arrester installation on one circuit of the double circuit transmission line is to prevent the simultaneous back flashover up to 190 kA.

  • Drive malfunction take many forms and every possible one must be protected against. Until recently a separate analog device was needed for each type of malfunction. In this approach to simplified, more reliable motor-circuit protection and control, a microprocessor's digital controller for motor control center simultaneously examine most of the possible sources of circuit trouble and has more efficent functions (sequence control,display) than the conventional motor control center. The result of standard surge tests provided a realistic evaluation of the surge withstand capability of equipment.

  • Through experimental works, the damping force vibration problem was investigated, which results from valve and surge pressure in the oil return line of the hydraulic circuit of an active suspension system in a passenger cu. Experiments were carried out under passive system, where an orifice valve was closed and non-active system, where an orifice valve was opened, using a pressure control valve controlled by solenoid. The effects of parameters of the valve overlap and accumulator on smoothing surge pressure was elucidated. It was proved that the apparent variation of damping force due to the overlap amount of pressure control valve is the most important factor to control the damping force variation. The procedure of the experimental works shows the development process of a proportional pressure control valve in the hydraulics system of an active suspension system of passenger car.

  • 터보프롭 엔진(PT6A-62)의 정상상태 및 동적 성능모사를 위한 프로그램을 개발하였다. 특히 이 프로그램은 Flat-rated 성능특성과 압축기서지 및 압축기터빈 입구제한온도 초과 방지를 위한 한도제어 알고리즘을 포함하였다. 해석오차를 최소화 하기 위해 조합 오차 값을 이용한 구성품 성능 데이터의 보간 방법과 온도의 함수로서 계산된 정압비열가 비열비가 사용되었다. 개발된 정상상태 성능해석 프로그램은 고도, 비행속도, 블리드유량, 흡입구온도 및 압력, 제한출력등의 여러 조건을 고려 할 수 있으며, 천이상태 성능해석 프로그램은 일반모드와 압축기 서지 방지 모드, 터빈 제한온도 초과방지 모드로 선택하여 해석을 수행할 수 있도록 구성하였다.
