순차적 근사최적화 기법을 이용한 방열판 최적설계 (Optimal Design of a Heat Sink using the Sequential Approximate Optimization Algorithm)

  • The shape of plate-fin type heat sink is numerically optimized to acquire the minimum pressure drop under the required temperature rise. In constrained nonlinear optimization problems of thermal/fluid systems, three fundamental difficulties such as high computational cost for function evaluations (i.e., pressure drop and thermal resistance), the absence of design sensitivity information, and the occurrence of numerical noise are commonly confronted. Thus, a sequential approximate optimization (SAO) algorithm has been introduced because it is very hard to obtain the optimal solutions of fluid/thermal systems by means of gradient-based optimization techniques. In this study, the progressive quadratic response surface method (PQRSM) based on the trust region algorithm, which is one of sequential approximate optimization algorithms, is used for optimization and the heat sink is optimized by combining it with the computational fluid dynamics (CFD).

유한요소법에 의한 대전력 IGBT 모듈의 열.응력해석 (Thermal and Stress Analysis of Power IGBT Module Package by Finite Element Method)

  • 유한요소법을 이용한 IGBT 3상 풀브릿지 모듈의 열.응력 해석을 수행하였다. 패키지 재료에 의한 영향을 살피고자 AIN과 $A1_2O_3$절연기판을 사용한 경우를 비교하였으며, 적층구조의 규격을 변화시켜 열해석 및 열응력 해석결과를 비교하였다. 열해석 경계조건 설정에 따른 차이를 비교하기 위하여 등가열전달계수 경계조건(FHTCC)과 일정온도 경계조건(CTC)으로 나누어 해석하였다. 절연기판 면적의 증가는 열저항 감소에 거의 기여하지 못하였으나 열응력 감소에는 상당한 효과를 보였는데, 기판면적이 3배 넓어지면 열저항 감소분은 $A1_2O_3$ 절연기판 모듈에서 8.9%정도, AIN 절연기판 모듈에선 1.5% 정도 감소하는데 그쳤으나 열응력은 최고 60%의 감소를 보였다. 또한 솔더의 두께가 증가할수록 열저항은 증가하였으나, 열응력은 감소 또는 일정하게 유지함을 확인하였다. 각 모듈에서 최대응력값은 모두 절연기판과 접촉된 상, 하부 Cu pad에서 발생하였으며 모듈 패키지 가장자리 부분보다는 중앙부의 응력값이 높았다.

  • 본 논문은 전기자동차용 고밀도 DC-DC 컨버터의 PCB 방열특성에 대해 나타낸다. 본 논문은 또한 고밀도 DC-DC 컨버터의 방열구조를 분석하고 열해석 시뮬레이션을 통해 고밀도 전원장치의 PCB 방열 설계를 최적화한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 열전달 이론을 바탕으로 일반적인 전자기기의 방열 경로를 분석하고 열저항 등가 회로를 모델링한다. 또한 본 논문의 연구 대상인 500[W]급 동기식 벅 컨버터의 열저항 등가 회로를 모델링 하여 방열 성능 향상을 위한 구조적인 방열 경로를 제시한다. 입력전압 72[V], 출력전압 12[V]의 500[W]급 동기식 벅 컨버터에 다면 방열 구조를 적용하여 열해석 시뮬레이션결과와 시작품의 실험을 통해 제안 구조의 타당성을 검증한다.

  • Laser welding has the advantage of high welding speed and Provides low heat distortion Thus laser welding is a very attractive process for joining thin steel sheet and surface treated steel sheet. And the major item in market for surface treated steel sheet is zinc coated steel. However. the laser welding of zinc coated steel is very difficult because of its low boiling point. Compared with zinc, on the other hand, aluminum has a high boiling point. Thus, laser weldability of aluminized steel is better than that of zinc coated steel. Moreover aluminized steel sheet is a material with excellent heat resistance, thermal reflection and corrosion resistance. The results of laser weldability of the aluminized steel for the full penetration welding will be described in this paper We focused on the investigation of the phenomenons caused by coating condition and behavior of aluminum in weld.

용융탄산염 연료전지의 양극 및 대체재료의 제작에 관한 연구 -Cu-base 전극에 대하여- (A study on the developmenet of Anode Material for Molten Carbonate Fuel Celt - Cu-base electrode-)

  • The fabrication process of Cu-base anode for replacing Ni-base anode of molten carbonate fuel cell was investigated. Electrochemical performance and thermal stability of Cu-base anode were also investigated. Green sheet was prepared by mixing Cu and Ni powder with 1.5wt% methylcellulose and 100wt% water. The pore-size distribution of the Cu-base anode sintered at $800^{\circ}C$ for 30min showed almost uniform pore-size ranging from 4 to 20$\mu\textrm{m}$ and it was considered suitable for MCFC anode. Cu-Ni anode containing between 35 to 50wt% Ni exhibited current density of 111mA/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 100mV overpotential and it was almost the some value for pure Ni anode. The sintering resistance of Cu-Ni increased with an increase of Ni addition. It was considered that the increase of sintering resistance was due to the decrease of diffusion rate of Cu and Ni with increasing the addition of Ni in Cu-Ni alloy.

  • Molecular motions of polyaniline conducting blends were prepared. Surface resistance of its blends was investigated by a Surface Resistance Meter. DC electrical properties were investigated by Thermally Stimulated Currents(TSC) method and AC dielectric properties were investigated by Dielectric Thermal Analyzer (DETA) in the temperature range from $-50^{\circ}C$ to $120^{\circ}C$ at 1E0 Hz $^{\sim}$ 1E7 Hz for a comparative study of molecular relaxation. Using Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM), relations of both microstructure and conduction behaviors was observed.

Improvement in ammonia gas sensing behavior by polypyrrole/multi-walled carbon nanotubes composites

  • Polypyrrole (PPy)/multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) composites were prepared by in situ polymerization of pyrrole on the surface of MWCNTs templates to improve the ammonia gas sensing properties. PPy morphologies, formed on the surface of MWCNTs, were investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy. The thermal stabilities of the PPy/MWCNTs composites were improved as the content of MWCNTs increased due to the higher thermal stability of the MWCNTs. PPy/MWCNTs composites showed synergistic effects in improving the ammonia gas sensing properties, attributed to the combination of efficient electron transfer between PPy/MWCNTs composites and ammonia gas, and the reproducible electrical resistance variation on PPy during the gas sensing process.

  • The insulation provided by clothing system is usually expressed in terms of a coo units and its distribution of the body, directly affect convective, conductive, and radiant heat loss from the skin to the environment Evaporated heat loss is dependent upon fabric permeability, the amount of body surface area covered by clothing, and the pumping of air between the body and garment layers. Persons at low to medium activity levels, dressed in conventional apparel in door environments, usually do not lose a large amount of heat through evaporation. Thermal manikin technology is used to measure the resistance to heat transfer provided by clothing systems. The reciprocal of this value, 6.45 W/m2.$^{\circ}C$ is often used in calculations for convenience. The purpose of this study was to implement a research program for calculation the insulation value (clo), body surface area and basal metabolic rate of selected clothing system. The project provided for the building of an insulation data base for use in evaluating and comparing new and improved garments.

산업용 센서에 사용하는 Teflon계 박막 일렉트렛의 내열성 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Way to Increase Heat Resistance of Teflon Type Thin Film Electret Applied for Industrial Sensor)

  • For the increase the charge stability of teflon electrets for used at uncomfortable industrial circumstances with high temperature or humidity, We made an investigation into double layer effect of teflon electrets. Teflon AF film was spincoated on FEP film and then the charge storage property of AF/FEP dual film was investigated to be compared with FEP film. It was found that the AF/FEP dual film has higher surface potential than FEP film on the repeated charging and annealing process. It seems that AF/FEP dual film has higher thermal stability than FEP film through TSC measurement. If the investigations of the double layer effect of Teflon film carried out more closely with it's molecular structures and surface conditions, it may be effectively improved the stability of charge storage.
