경사진 원형관에서 표면장력과 중력에 의한 비뉴턴 유체(멱법칙 모델)의 유동 및 변위 (Flow and Displacement of Non-Newtonian Fluid(Power-Law Model) by Surface Tension and Gravity Force in Inclined Circular Tube)

  • 본 논문은 경사진 원형관에서 표면장력과 중력으로 구동되는 비뉴턴 유체(멱법칙 모델)의 유동 및 변위를 이론적으로 연구한 것이다. 그리고 표면장력에 의하여 연속적으로 원형관 내로 유입되는 비뉴턴 유체의 변위를 기술하기 위한 지배방정식을 처음으로 개발하였다. 뉴턴의 운동방정식으로부터 유도된 식은 2계 비선형이며 비제차인 형태의 상미분 방정식이다. 지배방정식의 해를 수평관에서 변위를 시간의 함수로 기술한 식 및 실험과 비교한 결과 정량적으로 동일한 일치를 보였다. 여기에 더하여 정상상태인 힘의 균형식의 결과에 대해서도 정확한 일치로 나타남을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • It is well known that the state of existence of molecules on the surface of water changes during compression of the molecules. Electric methods, such as measurement of the surface potential or displacement current are also useful for investigating dynamic changes of molecular state on the water surface during compression. In this paper, We studied on the Bio thin film by Langmuir-Biodgett(LB) method. The Experiment method used displacement current, $\pi-A$ isotherm and BAM (Brewster Angle Microscopy). using the BAM, we can to the molecular orientation of monolayer on the water surface and directly see the morphology of the films on water subphase as well as that of the films.

  • Machining information such as form accuracy and surface roughness is an important factor for manufacturing precise parts. To this regard, OMM (On the Machine Measurement) has been researched for last several decades to alternate CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine) process. In this research, the OMM system with a laser displacement sensor was developed for measuring form accuracy and surface roughness of the machined workpiece on the machine tool. The surface roughness was estimated comparing the sensory signal with the reference data measured from master specimen. Also, form accuracy was determined from the moving averaged raw data. In addition, the geometric error map constructed beforehand using the geometric errors of the machine tool was used to compensate the obtained form accuracy. The overall performance was compared with CMM result, and verified the feasibility of the measurement system.

  • The physical properties of DMPC monolayer were made for dielectric relaxation phenomena by the detection of the surface pressures and displacements current. The phospolipid monolayer of dielectric relaxation takes a little time and depend on the molecular area.

  • The objective of this paper is to provide experimental data on the propagation of curved crack-surfaces and the respective load-displacement diagrams for the validation of numerical models for cracking of concrete, subjected to three-dimensional stress states. To this end beam-shaped specimens are subjected to combined bending and torsional loading, leading to the formation of a spatially curved crack-surface. The experimental data contain the evolution of the load and of the strains at selected points in terms of the crack mouth opening displacement and the propagation of the crack surface.

  • The effects of concave hemispherical surface with inclined angle on the local heat transfer from a turbulent round jet impinging were experimentally investigated using transient liquid crystal method. This method suddenly exposes a preheated wall to an impinging jet and then the video system records the response of liquid crystals for the measurement of the surface temperature. The Reynolds numbers were used 11000, 23000 and 50000, nozzle-to-surface distance ratio from 2 to 10 and the surface angles $\alpha=0^{\circ},\;15^{\circ},\;30^{\circ}\;and\;40^{\circ}$. Correlations of the stagnation point Nusselt number according to Reynolds number, jet-to-surface distance ratio and dimensionless surface angle are investigated. In the stagnation point, in term of $Re^n$, n ranges from 0.43 in case of $2{\leq}L/d\leq6$ to 0.45 in case of $6. The maximum Nusselt number occurs in the direction of upstream. The displacement of the maximum Nusselt number from the stagnation point increases with increasing surface angle or decreasing nozzle-to-surface distance. The maximum displacement is about 0.7 times of the jet nozzle diameter.

  • Fundamentally, slip displacement should be known to solve the problem related to the fretting wear. For this, methods for measuring the slip displacement range in the contact surface of the tube and the supports were introduced and analyzed in this study. Also the increment of the slip displacement during a cycle was calculated using the revised formulas. As a result, the slip displacement newly evaluated was much higher ($7{\sim}50$ times) than that previously evaluated especially in the case of the gap existence. This enables to explain the severe wear found when there was a gap between the tube and the supports.

  • Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry(ESPI) using the Model 95 Ar laserm, a video system and an image processor was applied to the in-plane displacement measurements. Unlike traditional strain gauges or moire method, ESPI method requires no special surface preparation or attachments and can be measured in-plane displacement with no contact and real time. In this experiment wpecimen was loaded in parallel with a loadcell. The specimen was the cold rolled sdteel sheet of 2mm thickness, which was attached strain gauges. The study provides an example of how ESPI have been used to measure strain displacement in this specimen. The results measured by ESPI have been used to measure strain displacement in this specimen. The results measured by ESPI compare with the data which was measured by strain gauge method in tensile testing.

  • Maxwell-Displacement-Current(MDC) measuring technique has been applied to the study of monolayers of Dilauroylphosphatidylcholine (L-.alpha.-DLPC) and Dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine (L-.alpha.-DMPC). The displacement current was generated from monolayers on a water surface by monolayer compression. Displacement current was generated when the area per molecule was about 250.angs.$^{2}$, 280.angs.$^{2}$. Displacement current was generated in the gas state, gas/liquid state, and liquid state in the course of monolayer compression. The orientational change of molecules in monolayers was discussed on the basis of the MDCs obtained. Finally, we measured differential thermal analysis of sample.

미세변위 측정을 위한 스펙클 간섭계의 구성과 자동 Fringe 해석 (Speckle Interferometry and Automatic Fringe Analysis for Small Displacement Measurement)

  • Dual field speckle interferometry that is sensitive to the surface displacement of the object is constructed, and fringe patterns that have the displacement-informations are analysed using digital image processing. From 10\ulcorner to 80\ulcorner with respect to each specklegrams are obtained by double-exposure techniques, which are analysed by the proposed system and algorithm. Up to 10\ulcorner displacement, near measurable lower bound of Speckle Interferometry, fringe visibility is decreased due to decreasing fringe density, therefore relative errors are produced over 10% but over that displacement, relative errors are produced below 5%. Particularly, it is observed that spatial frequencies of each displacement are comparatively linear.
