Objectives : Provides research basis on steaming processing method (SPM) as described in literatures 'Roegongpojaron', 'Pojadaebub', and 'Susajinam'. Methods : The following issues were considered for current investigation regarding herbal drugs: (i) categorizing SPM-applied drugs, (ii) protocols on the use of the supporting materials, (iii) kind of supporting materials, (iv) processing periods, (v) part of the herb plants, (vi) herbal efficacy, (vii) intrinsic properties and tastes of the herbal drugs, (viii) meridian tropism of the herbal drugs. Result : The number of herbal drugs was 70 species from 'Roegongpojaron', 73 from 'Pojadaebub', and 66 from 'Susajinam'. The abundance of supporting materials was in the order of alcohol, honey and tofu. The herbal parts of the roots, stem, fruit, and seed were most widely used. Based on herbal efficacy, a drug supplementing invigoration was used most, and a drug eliminating heat followed next. Based on four spirit features, herbs showing warm, cold, and mild features were used. In considering five tastes, herbs showing bitter and sweet tastes were used most. In considering meridian tropism, herbs converging to liver and kidneys were used, and drugs converging to 'Samcho, and gallbladder were not used. Conclusion : The present survey on SPM as described in 'Roegongpojaron', Pojadaebub', and 'Susajinam' indicates that there is a principal specialty on the use of supporting materials, steaming periods, steaming parts and efficacy.

In modern society, the amount of information has been significantly increased according to the development of Internet and IT convergence technology and that leads to develop information obtaining and searching technologies from lots of data. Although the system integration for medicare has been largely established and that accumulates large amounts of information, there is a lack of providing and supporting information for nursing activities using such established database. In particular, the judgement for the intervention of pains depends on the experience of individual nurses and that leads to make subjective decisions in usual. In this paper, a pain nursing supporting method that uses the existing medical data and performs collaborative filtering is proposed. The proposed collaborative filtering is a method that extracts some items, which represent a high relativeness level, based on similar preferences. A preference estimation method using a user based collaborative filtering method calculates user similarities through Pearson correlation coefficients in which a neighbor selection method is used based on the user preference.

PURPOSE. The purpose of this study was to compare two novel impression methods and a conventional impression method for edentulous jaws using 3-dimensional (3D) analysis software. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Five edentulous patients (four men and one woman; mean age: 62.7 years) were included. Three impression techniques were used: conventional impression method (CI; control), simple modified closed-mouth impression method with a novel tray (SI), and digital impression method using an intraoral scanner (DI). Subsequently, a gypsum model was made, scanned, and superimposed using 3D analysis software. Mean area displacement was measured using CI method to evaluate differences in the impression surfaces as compared to those values obtained using SI and DI methods. The values were confirmed at two to five areas to determine the differences. CI and SI were compared at all areas, while CI and DI were compared at the supporting areas. Kruskal-Wallis test was performed for all data. Statistical significance was considered at P value <.05. RESULTS. In the comparison of the CI and SI methods, the greatest difference was observed in the mandibular vestibule without statistical significance (P>.05); the difference was < 0.14 mm in the maxilla. The difference in the edentulous supporting areas between the CI and DI methods was not significant (P>.05). CONCLUSION. The CI, SI, and DI methods were effective in making impressions of the supporting areas in edentulous patients. The SI method showed clinically applicability.

An elastic buckling analysis of single hat rectangular tubes is carried out. Based on Bleich's buckling theory for elastically restrained plates, a method to estimate the compliance of the supporting plates for the buckling plate and to compensate the effects of compression force acting on the supporting plates is offered. Necessary assumptions which enable an analytic approach to be used are also given. The present results are compared with the finite element results obtained from ABAQUS.

In this paper, we propose a method for transmitting SMS(Short Message Service) for VoIP(Voice over IP) service supporting multi-protocol. The multi-protocol VoIP under consideration are generally composed of H.323, SIP and MGCP and Most ITSPs(Internet Telephony Service Provider) provide VoIP service with H.323 and SIP now. SMS is killer application in mobile telecom service and many people of various field use that service. For example, user can send many SMS messages and substitute e-mail. Also SMS can be provided with various internet application. Ahn, legacy phone of KT, can use SMS. Therefore VoIP phone also can be required with the same requirement. With the multi-protocol VoIP we will propose several methods sending efficiently SMS. To show the validity of the proposed method some examples are given in which the results can be expected by intuitive observation.

An advanced expert system for supporting automatic polishing operation of mold and die has been developed. The goal of this system is to minimize the polishing time, the number of polishing and tools used. Also, this paper proposes the advanced concept of the polishing method to perform polishing operation of mold and die, and it has adapted to the orthogonal array method. as a statistical technique, to choose an optimal polishing condition. An expert system consists of the polishing machining database that includes the information of workpiece and polishing tools, and the input/output module.

After determining the type and string condition of conductor of 765kV transmission lines, we studied the mechanical strength system of insulator strings to support conductors and insulate conductors from towers. In this paper, for the insulator strings which will be used in 765kV transmission lines, we're going to optimally determine the mechanical strength system and supporting method in the consideration of the reliability, economics and the survey data of T/L routes, and also suggest the calculation method to stipulate for the application limits of suspension and strain insulator strings according to the loadspan and height difference of tower.

This research proposes a finite element method to determine the natural vibration characteristics of the spinning disk-spindle system in a HDD including the flexibility of supporting structure. Finite element equations of each substructure are derived with the introduction of consistent variables to satisfy the geometric compatibility at the internal boundaries. The natural frequencies and modes from the global asymmetric matrix equations of motion are determined by using the implicit restarted Arnoldi iteration method. The validity of the proposed method is verified by the experimental modal testing. It also shows that the flexibility of base plate plays an important role to determine the natural frequencies of the spinning disk-spindle system in a HDD.

Nowadays, with the rapid emergence of XML as a standard for data exchange over the Internet had led to considerable interest In the problem of data management requirements such as the need to store and query XML documents in which the location path languages Xpath is of particular important for XML application since it is a core component of many XML processing standards such as XSLT or XQuery, This parer gives a brief overview about method and design by applying a new spatial-based indexing method namely Xp-free that used for supporting Xpath. Spatial indexing technique has been proved its capacity on searching in large databases. Based on accelerating a node using planar as combined with the numbering schema, we devise efficiently derivative algorithms, which are simple, but useful. Besides that, it also allows to trace all Its relative nodes of context node In a manner supporting queries natural to the types especially Xpath queries with predicates.
