A Exploratory Study of Integration-Support Paradigm for Transnational Marriage and Family: Focused on the Dongdaemun-gu Transnational Marriage and Family Support Center (결혼이민자가족을 위한 통합지원 패러다임 모색에 대한 탐색적 연구 -동대문구 결혼이민자가족지원센터를 중심으로-)

  • This study explored the integration-support paradigm for transnational marriages and families as a well-grounded service model supporting a transnational family of immigrants in Korea at a time when Korean society showed increased interest in interracial marriages. The research mainly focused on the Dongdaemun-gu Transnational Marriage and Family Support Center, utilizing the relative actual practice at the center and the secondary data of previous studies. The findings were as follows: The integration-support paradigm for transnational marriage and family comprised of the following elements : the institutionalization of welfare and medical services; the systematization of legal institution and execution the settlement of mid- and long-term policies and the practical programs of the government proper approaches to the formation of a healthy marital couple and family relations; total services related to rearing and educating children properly including education cost support to family incomehousing for the stabilization of family life support for socio-cultural exchanges within the family : as well as the radical conversion of social recognition of a transnational family. This paradigm is expected to be a well-grounded service for the integration-support of transnational families.

  • The study for ubiquitous computing infra is proceeding actively, it make possible to use service and access network anywhere, anytime because of wire/wireless communication technology and progress of hardware. Domestically, study for the network mobility support technology which is the key technology for future ubiquitous computing realization have progressed, but that is insufficient. Especially, there is no study for independent mobility support study about railway wireless network. So, this study propose network mobility management technology for mobile network infra in railway and proper network model in train.

  • This study was carried out to verify the effect of consumer and supplier characteristics on the utilization of consulting results, quality of consulting service and management performance in the government-support consulting service on SMEs. A survey was conducted and analyzed on SMEs which went through government-support consulting, with the following results of the study. First, for consumer characteristics, consulting awareness was found to have positive effect on the utilization of consulting results while organizational culture have no effect. Second, for supplier characteristics, consultant capability was found to have positive effect on the quality of consulting service but with no effect of government support policy. Third, consumer characteristic of consulting result utilization and supplier characteristic of consulting service quality were both found to have positive effect on management performance. Suggestions and significance of this study are as follows: the result of this study suggests a need to increase the SMEs' understanding of consulting service and the utilization of the consulting results as well as institutional support for enhancing the capability of consultants, a provider of knowledge service. It also has significance in presenting an effective and efficient direction of policy on consulting support project for SMEs.

  • This study analyzes the influence of the career plateau perceived by food service industry employees on their turnover intention. The perception of career plateau is classified as either structural or content-driven. This work also examines how organizational support (formal and informal) for career development affect turnover intention in their interaction with career plateau (structural and content-driven). The research hypothesis was objectively verified based on an analysis of the data on 255 employees. As a result, the structural and content-driven career plateaus perceived by employees were observed to have a positive overall effect on their turnover intention. Aslo, informal organizational support for career development moderates the relationship between career plateau and turnover intention but not formal organizational support.

  • This research aims to explore faculty research support systems in university libraries, assess their service performance for faculty research, and suggest the need and roadmap for new service development. We perform in-depth analyses of not only the current university library evaluation criteria as part of the overall university evaluation criteria, but also ten university libraries in the United States and two university libraries in Korea. Thorough benchmarking studies reveal the problems of the current university library evaluation criteria in its advances and limitations of current faculty support service systems. Especially this research suggests to develop a one-stop service execution wheel for the roadmap for the faculty research support system which is based on customer relationship management(CRM) for one-to-one, mass-personalized services to the faculty.

  • Service discovery mechanism is a core technique for getting a desired service in MANET(Mobile Ad-Hoc NETwork) environment. However, As feature of MANET, existing mechanisms have some problem that service requester search for trustable service. also it can not support scalability. in this paper, how to reliably support applications such as service discovery on top of MANET. we are firstly finding a trustable service provider and configure DHT(Distributed Hash Table). P2P's DHT can be adopted to service discovery mechanism because P2P and MANET share certain similarities, primarily the fact that both are instances of self-organizing decentralized systems. Especially, Proposed DHT systems used for P2P overlay network can be effective in reducing the communication overhead in service discovery. So proposed mechanism can support for reliably searching required service and scalability. Simulation results show that our mechanism is scalable and outperforms existing service discovery mechanism.

Profile-Based Dynamic Service Binding for Evolution of Converged Services (융합 서비스의 진화를 위한 프로파일 기반 동적 서비스 바인딩 기술)

  • To reduce time to market for converged services, the service provider needs to combine external services and internal processes together, and IT architecture for converged services has to support it. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) enables the development of a converged service by combining external services and internal processes effectively. However, it is difficult for the existing SOA methods to support the evolution of a converged service, even though the service which consists of the converged service changes over time. In this paper, we argue that a method for profile-based dynamic service binding is required to support evolution of converged services. In order to identify requirements for the proposed method, a business scenario with a smart athletic equipment is given. We then present the concept and architecture of the method for profile-based dynamic service binding to meet the identified requirements. We also demonstrate a prototype implementation for evaluating the proposed method.

The Effect of Selection Factors of Marine Transportation Service on Transaction Continuity

  • The selection factors of service companies have changed in accordance with intensifying competition in the marine transportation service market and environment changes of transportation services. To explore the important factors of customer choice to marine transportation service, this study empirically examines the influence of these selection factors; service provision area, price competitiveness, corporate image, service expertise, and sales support, on transaction continuity through customers' perceived service value and satisfaction. Based on an online survey with those in the Korean marine transportation industry, this study conducted statistical analyses using structural equation modeling. Based on relevant previous studies, the current study constructed a total of 55 survey questions. Finally, 213 questionnaires were collected. Among the five selection factors, corporate image did not affect perceived service value, and price competitiveness was still the most important factor. However, service expertise and sales support were found to be more important factors than regional factors. In order to maintain transaction continuity, shipping companies should also strive to improve their service quality to their customers. In particular, service quality strategies focused on time and regional factors should develop to strategies with the key factors for the changed business environment.

Infertile Women's Perception on the National Support Program for Infertile Couples (난임 여성들의 난임부부 시술비 지원사업에 대한 인식)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the perception of infertile women on the use of the national support program that provides medical expense aid to infertile couples. Methods: Thirty Korean infertile women participated in five focus groups. Data were collected from January to August 2014. After obtaining permission from the participants, each session of the focus group was audio-taped and transcribed. The responses were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results: The main themes identified from the sessions with the participants were "feeling thankful for the reliable support program," "feeling happy or unhappy," "enduring inconveniences," and "hoping for a more comprehensive support service." Although most of the participants perceived the benefits of the national support service positively, they stated that the service was not comprehensive because it did not cover all the medical expenses for tests and other medical treatments. Conclusion: The benefits given to infertile couples by the program should be increased by covering all the medical expenses, expanding its criteria to include more eligible candidates, and by including special leave benefits for working women. Furthermore, it is essential to take measures for infertility prevention at the individual and national policy levels.
