This paper presents the integration of Digital twin and Blockchain-based Supply Chain Management (DB-SCM) in a smart warehouse to create a more efficient, secure, and transparent facility. The process involves creating a digital twin of the warehouse using sensors and IoT devices and then integrating it with a blockchain-based supply chain management system to connect all stakeholders. All data are collected and tracked in real-time as goods move through the warehouse, and smart contracts are automatically executed to ensure accountability for all parties involved. The study also highlights the critical role of effective supply chain management in modern business operations and the significance of smart warehouses, which leverage advanced technologies such as robotics, AI, and data analytics to optimize warehouse operations. Later, we discuss the importance of digital twins, which allow for creating a virtual representation of a physical object or system, and their potential to revolutionize a wide range of industries. Therefore, DB-SCM offers numerous benefits, including enhanced efficiency, improved customer satisfaction, and increased sustainability, and provides a valuable case study for organizations seeking to optimize their supply chain operations.
This study first conceptualizes and investigates five dimensions of SCM activities, such as organizational capacity, revitalization support collaboration, appraisal and responsibility, and information system activities. Second, this study develops three dimensions of a supply chain structure, and proposes a balanced scorecard (BSC) model in order to measure business performance. And then, this study establishes too research hypotheses as follows: H1. The SCM activities varies with the supply chain structure. H2. The management performance varies with the supply chain structure. In the questionnaire survey for empirical analysis, this study carefully selected 809 of companies in Korea. We conducted a survey by mail and collected 127 data. Out of 127 data we actually used 103 responses for statistical analysis. After conducting statistical analysis, we could find the results as followed: 1) The supply chain structure was classified into three networks through a clustering procedure, such as supply network, conversion network, and distribution network, and these networks were used to testify hypotheses. As a result the effect of SCM activities varies according to three networks and especially, the companies in distribution network were more active than those in supply and conversion networks doing SCM activities. 2) We may conclude that business performance varies with three networks, and distribution network achieves better performance than supply and conversion networks do.
Purpose: This study suggests a SCQM model for the national Defense field based on earlier studies on the Quality Management of supply chain and to identify critical activities factors of supply chain that makes effect on the business results. Also, this study analyzed moderating effects of performance sharing between businesses which is becoming the big issues with regard to the supply chain cooperation. Methods: A causality of qm activities factor of SCQM model affecting benefit sharing and business performance was analyzed by using structural equation model. A company used in analysis performed a survey by targeting 297 Defense SMEs(weapon-system/non-weapon system). Results: As a result of analyzing the influence relationship between key activity of SCQM on finance performance, it was identified that Management Infra(MI), Process Management(PM), Human Resource Management(HRM), Performance Sharing activity(PS) made significant effect on Financial Performance, and Human Resource Management(HRM) and Performance Sharing(PS) activity made effect on non-financial Performance. Conclusion: The four variables(MI, PM, HRM, PS) of Defense SCQM were significantly effecting Financial performance and two variables(HRM, PS) were significant effected non-Financial performance. We also proved the moderating effect of performance sharing.

Many conventional management methods have emphasized the minimization of required resources along the supply chain. Accordingly, this paper presents a proposed method called the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC)-aided system. It is based on object-oriented resource control, in order to accomplish a feed-forward control monitoring supply chain logistics. The system is supported by two main parts: (1) IT-based Technologies; and (2) VDC Models. They enable the system to convey proactive information from the detection technology to its linked visualization. The paper includes a field study as the system's pre-test: the Scaffolding Works in a LNG Mega Project. The study demonstrates a system of real-time productivity monitoring by use of the RFIDbased Mobile Information Hub. The on-line 'productivity dashboard' provides an opportunity to display the continuing processes for each work-package. This research project offers the observed opportunities created by the developed system. Future work will entail research experiments aimed towards system validation.
In this study, AHP analysis was conducted through a survey that was organized by 9 job categories. The results show that sustainable operation risks have the highest priority level among all criteria with management interest having the highest priority level within sustainable operation risks related attributes. The most important risk attributes among stakeholder risks appeared to be asset security and cargo and conveyance security, with education and training being the most important among regulatory risks. Effective management and response to the risks from export controls on strategic trade require an understanding of supply chain security and compliance programs, effective training programs, investments for development of security systems that meet international standards. In addition, the government needs to focus on developing professionals and providing support for companies with compliance programs, working closely with businesses.
Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to suggest countermeasures to reduce the damage of manufacturers in halal industries and to increase the transparency of the halal market along with raising some problems of halal supply chain management (HSCM). Design/methodology/approach - To achieve to the aim of this research, halal supply chain is categorized as a green zone or a red zone according to the possibility of cross-contamination, and the study introduces 2 examples in Malaysia and Indonesia regarding cross-contamination. Findings - More than 70% of the companies producing halal-certified products are, ironically, non-Muslim suppliers under the halal certificate system and by using halal supply chain. Most Muslim countries do not exercise control over the completed halal supply chain. In most Muslim countries which do not exercise control over halal supply chain properly, there is always a possibility of cross-contamination of products during the processes of distribution. Research limitations/implications - This research has been conducted by accessing cases in halal supply chain. These cases are found in some Muslim countries, not all Muslim countries. Nevertheless, the authors found the possibility of these cross-contaminations in all Muslim countries, and it will damage the halal market. Originality/value - While existing studies have focused on protecting Muslim consumers by ensuring the integrity of halal products in halal supply chain, there is no research on how to protect halal product manufacturers as another important axis of halal SCM.
The primary objective of Supply Chain Management (SCM) is to optimize the cash, material and information flow for satisfying customer demands through coordinating the relationship between Supply Chain components such as suppliers, manufacturers, and inventories, etc. By Supply Chain Planning (SCP), operation tasks or goals, should be done in specific due date, are ordered to each SC component for achieving such objective. However, the achievement for operation tasks or goals is affected by uncertainties in SC. In general, reliability theory Is explained as the probability that a product or system will perform its specified function under prescribed conditions without failure for a specified period of time. Therefore, the reliability of SC can be defined as the probability that SC will satisfy customer demands until the specific due date. In this paper, a basic framework to evaluate reliability is respectively proposed as supply chain components, and then a overall framework to estimate the reliability for SC is also proposed.
We proposed a conceptual design of the web-based agent model for global supply chain management(GSCM), where agents representing autonomous operational units, such as suppliers, factories, distribution center and customers, cooperate and are coordinated through the information exchange. The agent model assumed the hierarchical federated system. In the federated system, the agents of the same region are grouped and linked to the region-specific facilitator only through which communication between agents is allowed. The facilitator is responsible for monitoring and controlling the conversations consisting of the message flows across the agents. A web-based user presentation was also designed so that human users could involve in collaborative settings into the GSCM multi-agent system. In the conversation protocols which allow for complex coordinated behavior among agents, the KQML was extended to represent the messages. A GSCM scenario where the supply chain is formed upon customer order and supply decision is made was used to demonstrate the dynamics of the conversation protocols.
This research consists of (1) building (or molding) the Dynamics Simulation Model on Return Policy mainly used in publications, phonographs, and computer industry; which are seen used in supply chain contract known as effective control mechanism under the varied supply chain situations, and (2) analyzing the effects that return rates and seller's contract parameters have in the outcome of the model and (3) observing how the effectiveness of Return Policy changes under such circumstances where the buyer's sales ability and the seller's risk inclination are taken into account. Thus, the main purpose of this research lies in analyzing what exactly are the effects (and or outcome) that sales ability and risk inclination have in Return Policy, and additionally by conducting comprehensive research on Supply Chain Policy Dynamics Simulation Model, we will try to prove that not only the Systems Dynamics approach is highly contributive in supply chain management but also that it will serve as a foothold in future research. As a result of the research, supply chain achievement level turned out to be high when Return Policy is enforced, and the achievement level was even higher when seller's sales ability was taken into consideration along with the Return Policy. On the other hand, the achievement level decreased when the seller had risk aversive tendencies.
