Objectives: This study was designed to examine the effect of risk assessment on employee safety behavior in manufacturing workplaces. In addition, this study attempted to explore factors related to the occupational safety and health system in the workplace affect the risk assessment of manufacturing sites. Methods: This research is a cross-sectional study using the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency's 2018 Occupational Safety and Health data. The sample for study is 1,967 manufacturing workplaces. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, chi-square test, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis using SPSS (ver.25.0). Results: As a result of the multiple hierarchical regression analysis, it was found that risk assessment had an effect on employee safety behavior (t=4.435, p=<.001). Furthermore, the size of the workplace affected employee safety behavior (t=2.494, p=<.001). In addition, the presence of safety and health management organizations affected employee safety behavior (t=4.301, p=<.001). The factors of the safety and health organization (𝑥2=35.245, p=<.001), the occupational safety and health committee (𝑥2=149.440, p=<.001), and the supervisor (𝑥2=16.472, p=<.001) were identified as factors that increased the possibility of risk assessment in the manufacturing workplaces. Conclusions: In this study, it was found that risk assessment is a factor that increases the level of workers' safety behavior in manufacturing workplaces. Therefore, it is necessary to provide institutional support for activating risk assessment at manufacturing workplaces.
This study is to examine the impact of sales franchisor's relationship-oriented efforts(flexibility, problem solving support, customization, information exchange, and supervisor characteristics) on relationship quality(satisfaction, trust, and commitment) and recontract intentions. In order to analyze proposed model, this study collected the 233 franchisees with owner or hired manager. The data were analyzed with SPSS/PC 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. First, to test unidimensionality and nomological validity of the measures of each construct we employed a scale refinement procedure. The result of reliability test with confirmatory factor analysis warranted unidimensionality of the measures for each construct. The findings are as follows: First, relationship-oriented efforts had positive effects on relationship quality (satisfaction, trust, and commitment) of franchisee. Second, satisfaction had positive effect on trust, but did not on recontract intentions. Third, trust had positive effects on commitment and recontract intentions, respectively. Finally, commitment had a positive effect on recontract intentions. At the end of this paper, managerial implications and limitations and future research directions were suggested.
Purpose - Recently on-the-job training (OJT) has become the most preferred training and development method with the emergence of the concept that workplace is the best place where learning take place. But many researchers argue that OJT is not helpful for the performance of organization because OJT is not systematic and mostly depend on quality of trainer. Since Jacobs & McGriffin introduced S-OJT (structured OJT), there has been plenty of researches. But most of the researches have focused mainly on employee's attitude and organizational performance caused by S-OJT and neglected a holistic approach of S-OJT as a system. S-OJT need to be analyzed comprehensively to understand training performance because S-OJT is operated as a system consist of input, process, and organizational context. Although S-OJT may create unintended consequences, there were few researches to explore them. Thus, the purpose of this study is to identify the critical success factors for S-OJT and to find unintended consequences of it. Research design, data and methodology - We conducted a case study on M business unit of A company which developed and has been implementing S-OJT program for years. We designed and prepared the process, collected and analyzed data for the study. We set the theoretical framework to analyze the case after reviewing theories and previous studies on S-OJT. We collected and analyzed internal reports and interview results of the employees of the M business unit. We tried to collect as many information as possible to secure the validity of the research results. Results - The critical success factors identified in the study are as follow. First, it is important to select and train proper trainers for S-OJT. Second, it is needed to develop structured training module. Third, organization have to use effective communication system like on-line community. Forth, trainer should have proper skills for training such as facilitating skill, coaching skill, and delivering skill etc. Fifth, proper learning place is needed. Sixth, organizational support is important especially, immediate supervisor support and concern is critical. Eleventh, it is needed to consider situational contexts. Among them, overload to the trainer will affect the effectiveness of S-OJT. In this study, we found an additional unintended consequence. "To teach is the best way to learn." Experience as a trainer give employee an opportunity to organize one's knowledge and skill and to attain facilitation skill, coaching skill, and relation skill. Thus, organization may use S-OJT to train the potential talent. Conclusions - Many organizations introduced S-OJT to train the newcomers because S-OJT drew attention as an important tool to develop employees. Following this trend, there has been increasing number of researches to find the results of S-OJT and identify the determinants of S-OJT success. However, most of the researches concentrated on finding effects of some factors neglecting holistic approach. This study tried to identify critical success factors affecting effectiveness of S-OJT by using case study and find additional unintended consequence. The results of the study will be useful for organizations which have a plan to adopt S-OJT.

This study tried to find out implementation factors of internal marketing for a cosmetic retailer, and to look into their effects on Salesperson's job satisfaction, organization commitment, customer orientation and sales performance. For this, this study inquired into the concepts and relationships of internal marketing, job satisfaction, organization commitment, customer orientation and sales performance through literature review; and tested the relationships between the variables by setting up a research model and hypotheses. The findings of this study may be summarized as follows: First, it was found that the better the education & training, the supervisor support and the compensation system among internal marketing factors of a cosmetic retailer were, the higher a door-to-door salesperson's job satisfaction was. Second, it was found that the better internal communication and the education & training among internal marketing factors of a cosmetic retailer were, the higher a door-to-door salesperson's organization commitment was. Third, the higher the job satisfaction of a door-to-door salesperson in a cosmetic retailer was, the higher the organization commitment was. Fourth, it was found that the higher the organization commitment of a door-to-door salesperson in a cosmetic retailer was, the higher the customer orientation was. Fifth, it was found that the higher the organization commitment and customer orientation of a door-to-door salesperson in a cosmetic retailer were, the higher the sales performance was. In conclusion, the internal marketing increases door-to-door Salesperson's job satisfaction, and enhances the sense of belonging to their cosmetic retailer. Further, they come to have a customer-oriented attitude in serving customers, which is directly connected to sales performance, and thus the retailer can create profits through internal marketing. Therefore, a cosmetic retailer will need to strengthen internal communication activities through diverse methods, expand and activate employees' professional education, and develop fair and just compensation system; and supervisors will need to give support to employees, trusting their judgment.
This study was executed to find out the intensity of turnover intention and its associated factors of radiologic technologists who worked for private clinic and university hospitals in Daejoen. Such variables as social and demographic characteristics, job-related features, job stress, job satisfaction, job performance, organizational commitment and turnover intention were investigated based on the survey of randomly sampled 400 radiologic technologists. The results are summarized as follows. 1. College graduates of private clinic workers were significantly higher than junior college graduates of them in the mean score for turnover intention. And low age groups, unmarried group, no religion group, low job career groups and low income groups of university hospital workers were significantly higher than high age groups, married group, religion group, high job career groups and high income groups of them respectively in the mean score for turnover intention. 2. Private clinic and university hospital workers' low and high groups in the variables of job demand, job control, supervisor support, job satisfaction, organizational commitment showed significant difference in the mean score for turnover intention. specially private clinic workers' low and high groups in the variables of coworker support, job performance showed significant difference in the mean score for turnover intention. 3. A hierarchial multiple regression analysis was conducted to catch the influence of related variables on turnover intention according to private clinic workers and university hospital workers. As a result of the analysis, the higher the degrees of education and job demand were and the lower the degree of job satisfaction was for private clinic workers, the higher the degree of turnover intention was. And the lower the degrees of age, job career, job satisfaction and organizational commitment were for university hospital workers, the higher the degree of turnover intention was. In conclusion, it was found that job demand and job satisfaction for private clinic workers and job satisfaction and organizational commitment for university hospital workers influenced on turnover intention.
Driven by the development of information technologies, information system (IS) use has been common even in military organizations. In particular, field artillery is currently using the Battalion Tactical Commanding System-A1 (BTCS-A1) to improve fire support. The use of BTCS-A1 makes fire-commanding processes simple and autonomous, which leads to shorten time to support fire. Although BTCS-A1 has been considered as a helpful system, there still exists some dispute regarding its effectiveness and impact on task performance. By conceptualizing BTCS-A1 use as appropriation, this study investigates how BTCS-A1 appropriation promotes task performance. We also hypothesize that IS quality, organizational pressure (institutional pressure and supervisor influence), and team climate (team learning climate and team empowerment climate) increase the appropriation. Survey results show that organizational pressure and team climate promote BTCS-A1 appropriation, which improves users' task performance. However, effect of IS quality is not significant. Theoretical and practical implications are presented.

The purpose of this study was to define the quality of nursing services in relation to a nurse's psychosocial factors (type A behavior pattern, self-esteem, locus of control, and anxiety), job stress, and fatigue. This study targeted 503 nurses currently working at one of six general hospitals in Daejeon city, the data were collected by a self-administered questionnaire, which was surveyed from April 1 to June 30, 2014. According to multivariate logistic regression analysis, the high self-esteem, locus of control, and strong support by supervisor and co-workers decrease the risk of a low career quality. In contrast, high situational fatigue and overall fatigue increase the risk of a low career quality. According to the results of hierarchical multiple regression analysis, the quality of nursing services increased with age, the subjective health condition was satisfying, aptitude corresponded to the jobs, self-esteem was high, anxiety was low, support by co-workers was strong, and the overall fatigue was low. Above results suggest that the quality of nursing services of nurses who work at a general hospital has a strong correlation with the psychosocial factors, job stress, and fatigue.

At the completion of the construction, various finishing processes are concentrated. This imposes a burden on the on-site manager and imposes on experience based quality control, thereby causing deviations in the quality of construction depending on supervisor or worker's individual competence. In addition, the information related to quality control is frequently scattered in various types of documents such as specifications and drawings, and checkpoints are frequently omitted. It is necessary to provide a tool that can effectively provide the practitioner before or during the inspection work by systematically storing the information related to the defect prevention and linking them in a mutually referential state. This paper proposes an quality inspection support model that can systematically store necessary information on activity or room basis for the quality check of the apartment house finishing work. Establish a defect prevention information base and a information nexus by linking specifications, design standards, checklists, regulations, defect cases, and drawings to the finishing process and the rooms. Based on this, information registration and search interface are presented. It can contribute to securing a certain level of construction quality or more by suggesting a frame that can be utilized by linking various defects prevention information with the focus on closing activity and room.

Construction projects have risks due to various factors such as construction delays and construction accidents. Based on these construction risks, the method of calculating the construction period of the construction project is mainly made by subjective judgment that relies on supervisor experience. In addition, unreasonable shortening construction to meet construction project schedules delayed by construction delays and construction disasters causes negative consequences such as poor construction, and economic losses are caused by the absence of infrastructure due to delayed schedules. Data-based scientific approaches and statistical analysis are needed to solve the risks of such construction projects. Data collected in actual construction projects is stored in unstructured text, so to apply data-based risks, data pre-processing involves a lot of manpower and cost, so basic data through a data classification model using text mining is required. Therefore, in this study, a document-based data generation classification model for risk management was developed through a data classification model based on SVM (Support Vector Machine) by collecting construction project documents and utilizing text mining. Through quantitative analysis through future research results, it is expected that risk management will be possible by being used as efficient and objective basic data for construction project process management.
Purpose: In order to establish a safety management system led by an orderer in the construction industry, the orderer should be positioned at the peak of the construction industry safety management system and a system that can effectively support safety supervisors who can assist the orderer's role should be reflected. Method: This study collected and analyzed data on the status of safety management of construction business owners through prior research on safety management of construction business owners and a survey on the actual condition of those involved in the construction business. Results: The top priority is to improve the safety awareness and safety management capabilities of the orderer, and through these efforts, the orderer-led safety management system will be established when a national consensus on the responsibility of the orderer, such as the Serious Accident Punishment Act and the Occupational Safety and Health Act, is formed in the event of an accident such as a serious accident. Conclusion: In order to establish a safety management system led by an orderer in the construction industry, it contributes to disaster prevention by positioning the orderer at the peak of the construction safety management system and reflecting a system that can effectively support safety supervisors who can assist the orderer's role.
